Golf is a game where players use clubs to hit a small ball into a series of holes, and the player who uses the fewest strokes wins.
A standard game usually consists of nine or eighteen holes.
The golf course next to the villa is an eighteen-hole course.
After Blaine entered the course, he asked Gali to wait at the starting point while he went to get a few two-piece golf balls.
Two-piece balls are very commonly used. The core is surrounded by a shell made of hard rubber or plastic—or a combination of the two—typically about 1 mm thick. Most golf balls on the market designed for long flight distance or durability use this structure, making them the best choice for average golfers.
Although Blaine and Gali were clearly not amateurs, there were certainly better ball options available to them. However, since it was just for a couple of strokes, there was no need for anything fancy. Blaine simply grabbed a few casually.
In addition, Blaine also brought back two clubs.
They were brand new—freshly purchased, with pristine heads, shafts, and grips.
"Here, take it."
Blaine tossed a ball labeled "28" to Gali.
Gali caught it and examined it with curiosity.
"Come on, stand here."
Blaine, acting like a helpful instructor, guided Gali to the tee. He grasped her hands, leaned in slightly, and explained, "When you take the shot, your shoulders should be behind the ball and the club. Your hips should stay as still as possible—don't sway."
To play golf well, you need to use not just the strength of your left wrist and forearm, but also your entire body. Golf isn't just a wrist sport. You won't hit the ball far with just your arms.
"The swing should be smooth. Don't drop your chin too much—lift your head a little so your shoulder rotation isn't restricted. Stand with your feet apart, the left toe slightly outward, and your left heel close to the line. Your feet should be shoulder-width apart. Shift your weight onto your left foot, and as you swing, step out with your right."
Gali was the one who said this line.
She looked at Blaine with a knowing, almost amused expression, slipped out from his arms, and demonstrated a perfect swing for him.
Blaine, still confused, swung the club.
The ball flew dozens of meters—and landed directly in the hole.
"How was that? Am I a good teacher?" Gali asked proudly, fishing for praise.
"Amazing… wait a second!"
Blaine nodded at first, but then blinked in realization. He squinted at Gali. "I taught you, so why are 'you' teaching 'me'?"
"Because your teaching was too shallow."
Hands on her hips, Gali said proudly, "I already knew everything you explained."
Damn.
A bead of cold sweat trickled down Blaine's forehead.
Spending the whole day with her, he had almost forgotten that Gali's character setting was supposed to be omniscient and omnipotent. How could she not know how to play golf?
And as if to prove the point, Gali took a perfect stance and hit a shot.
Snap!
Snap!
In the span of ten seconds, Gali hit seven balls.
Each one followed a graceful arc and dropped into the hole without even rolling—just like Blaine's.
They turned a golf game into something like basketball trick shots.
"Wow! Amazing!"
"Incredible!"
"That's insane! Can you teach me?"
There weren't many people on the course at the time, but a few were still playing.
With her adorable looks and incredible skill, Gali captured everyone's attention. Watching her sink seven balls in ten seconds—it was impossible not to notice.
"Omniscient girl, looks like you've been noticed," Blaine teased.
Serves you right for showing off.
"Hmph."
Gali was clearly uncomfortable with all the stares. She walked over to Blaine shyly, took his arm, and said, "Let's go. Golf is boring."
And so—
Blaine's plan to play golf with Gali for two hours fell through.
After accounting for the time spent buying clubs and balls, they'd spent less than two minutes on the course.
Meanwhile, the other players nearby seemed to grow more and more enthusiastic.
Of course, their excitement wasn't just about golf. Half of it was because Gali was just too cute.
She could captivate men, women, and children alike!
Although Blaine was a little annoyed, he couldn't exactly beat them all up—he wasn't a psycho. It just wasn't worth it.
Fine then. If not golf, something else.
How about horseback riding at the nearby stables?
Determined, Blaine brought Gali to the racecourse.
Originally, Blaine and the stable owner wanted Gali to choose a relatively tame horse. But to their surprise, Gali pointed straight at one of the racecourse's most notorious black stallions.
It was known for its bad temper and had reportedly kicked people before. No one had ever successfully ridden it.
Of course, calming a horse—even a wild one—would be easy for Blaine. But this wasn't about showing off. He came to the stables to relax, not to act cool. Usually, he just picked a horse at random and rode a couple laps around the course.
The feeling of "riding freely with you through the mortal world, sharing in its splendor" was still pretty wonderful.
The stable owner strongly objected to Gali riding the horse at first. After all, looking at Gali he didn't believe she could handle the horse. He was worried she'd get kicked or thrown off immediately.
And honestly, his concerns made sense.
That horse was temperamental. Very temperamental.
But Gali wasn't ordinary either. Under the watchful eyes of Blaine and the stable owner, she gave the horse a fierce look.
Immediately, the black stallion turned docile—as meek as a frost-beaten eggplant. It bowed its head obediently before her.
Then Gali mounted it with perfect form—just like a gallant knight—and began galloping around the racecourse.
The stable owner was left stunned, gasping in amazement.
Blaine gave Gali a thumbs-up.
He picked a random horse and rode up beside her.
"How does it feel?"
"It's alright. Nothing special."
Blaine sighed, black lines running down his forehead.
It seemed that nothing on Earth could possibly challenge this "cosmic god."
