Because Blaine and Gali weren't actually very good at making breakfast.
In fact, it was just a couple of quick bites.
It was really simple.
Two bowls of cereal and a few slices of bread with some jam spread on top.
Ideally, it should be peanut butter, but Blaine doesn't like the taste of it, so he replaced it with strawberry and blueberry jam.
Once the jam is spread and the two slices of bread are sandwiched, the taste isn't particularly good.
Gali clutched her belly and looked at Blaine aggrievedly. "I'm still hungry."
"Alright, I'll get you something."
What Blaine couldn't stand the most were Gali's eyes—so he had no choice but to bring out all the food they had left.
It was about six bags with 110 bread in total. There should've been 114, but he ate two and Gali ate two, so now there were only 110 left.
There were also two small jars of jam, hardly used.
And just like that, even though Gali ate very ladylike, she finished all the bread and jam within ten minutes.
Blaine didn't bother to say anything—he was already used to Gali's massive appetite.
No surprise, no shock, no twitching…
His only thought was that he should buy more bread the next time. It might even be better to replace the fridge. The current fresh-keeping compartment can only hold twelve bags. Better to buy a big one—the more it can hold, the better.
"Are you done eating?"
Blaine reached out to wipe the jam from the corner of Gali's lips.
Who would've thought Gali, would stick out her tongue and lick it off without any emotion—and even look as if she were savoring the taste.
"You stinky girl, you really don't understand romance."
Blaine glared at her.
Gali rolled her eyes. She didn't know why—she just rolled them anyway.
"All done."
She stood on the chair, let out a long sigh of satisfaction, and then pulled another "tribute ball" out of her watch and started munching on it.
Fifteen minutes exactly. Gali's calculations were very accurate.
Even when she was asleep at night, Gali would unconsciously summon the watch every fifteen minutes to eat one.
This was probably developing into an instinct—to avoid being woken by hunger in the middle of the night.
"Alright, now go change your clothes and get ready. We're heading out to have some fun."
Blaine patted Gali on the head as he spoke.
"Okay."
Gali went into the room and changed into the same purple tutu skirt she wore yesterday.
"I should probably buy another one for everyday use," Blaine muttered, stroking his chin as he looked Gali up and down. Clearly, wearing a purple gothic tutu wasn't suitable for many places.
"Buy? Why buy?"
Gali was still confused about Blaine buying her that dinosaur onesie pajama last night. It had been too late to ask about it then.
"Why buy it? I can just change it myself," Gali said honestly.
"Change it?"
Blaine rolled his eyes. "Are you going to perfume it after you change it? Anyway, just come shopping with me."
Truthfully, he just wanted something to do with Gali. If everything could be changed with a snap all day long, then what was the point of having such a powerful ability? Life would be so boring.
As he spoke, he grabbed Gali and headed to the commercial street.
They spent the rest of the morning shopping.
Blaine probably bought about ten outfits for Gali—casual dresses, cropped trousers, short-sleeved tops... and also some school-style uniforms, knee socks, and white silk stockings he bought out of pure selfishness.
In the end, Gali changed into cropped trousers and a short-sleeved shirt right at the store.
Puff skirts weren't exactly practical for most places.
"Still cute," Blaine said, giving a thumbs-up to the young girl who still looked a bit immature.
Gali snorted arrogantly. "I'm hungry."
"Already lunchtime?"
Blaine didn't need to check the time. Gali's stomach was more accurate than any clock in the world.
"Alright, let's go eat something nice today."
He took Gali to a nearby restaurant.
Three hours passed during lunch.
The little devil Gali once again ate the restaurant out of stock.
As for Blaine, he just had a bowl of plain rice and a few side dishes. Then he spent the rest of the time settling the bill.
The restaurant owner couldn't have been happier—Gali hadn't just eaten a normal meal. She had finished off every dish from the kitchen, including new dishes and even some they'd prepared days or weeks ago!
By three o'clock in the afternoon, Blaine took Gali to the big villa in Manhattan.
All the clothes were packed into his Hunter space.
"Ahh…"
By the time they reached the villa, evening was approaching.
Blaine leaned back comfortably on the soft sofa and stretched.
Gali had a content smile on her face.
The two had a fulfilling day. After all, Blaine had always been alone, and suddenly having someone to accompany him made everything feel more energetic and enjoyable.
"Tired today?" Blaine asked Gali with concern.
"Not tired."
Gali shook her head and giggled. "Why would I be tired from playing?"
"True…"
Blaine stood up from the sofa, leaving the soft cushions behind, and looked at the sun that hadn't yet set. "Then let's go. We'll play a round of golf before sunset."
Anyway, it was only around 3:30.
While most people take around four hours to play 18 holes, the two of them were different. Even if it wasn't a hole-in-one every time, they'd finish in two hours.
After golf, they'd have dinner and move on to other activities.
Something new again.
There was a spark of interest in Gali's eyes. She nodded and pumped her tiny fist. "Let's go!!"
"Let's go—golf course!"

(PS: Let me know—do you enjoy this kind of slice-of-life interaction between the protagonist and Gali? If you like it, I'll weave more into the Marvel plot. If not, I'll write less of it. After all, Gali is the heroine. If you don't enjoy these parts, I'll scale them down accordingly.)
