Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 — The Challenge of Becoming a Genius

"Graduating in just one year doesn't seem that hard..."

Kaito thought, confident.

After all, as a member of one of the Five Great Noble Clans, Kaito's talent was naturally high.

Even if he had yet to reach the level of monsters like Yoruichi Shihōin or Byakuya Kuchiki — both descendants of supreme nobility — it didn't seem impossible to request an early graduation.

Still, a hint of frustration always surfaced whenever he thought about his System.

It was a pity that only truly important characters from Bleach's storyline had login options available — and worse yet, all the conditions were absurdly difficult.

A few weeks ago, during a social gathering among nobles, Kaito had caught sight of the legendary Yoruichi Shihōin.

Instantly, the System had flashed in his mind, revealing the mission:

> [Character Login: Yoruichi Shihōin]

Condition: Defeat Yoruichi in a race

Reward: Secret Shunpō Technique (Extreme)

Kaito had almost fallen backward.

"Seriously, System? You want me to beat one of the fastest characters in Bleach history... in a race?!"

He sighed bitterly just remembering it.

The conditions were so outrageous that sometimes it seemed easier to just accept a peaceful life as a blacksmith rather than trying to complete those missions.

Returning to the present...

"Alright, class, that wraps up our first lesson," said the teacher, already gathering his scrolls. "Tomorrow, we'll move to the training field for a practical Hakuda lesson!"

With that, the first class came to an end.

After the teacher left, students could either stay in the dormitories or return home.

Without hesitation, Kaito chose the second option.

Accompanied by a trusted servant, he passed through the gates of the Shinoō Academy and made his way back to the Kasumiōji estate.

Back at his residence, without even changing clothes, Kaito headed straight to the training courtyard.

Ever since he had been reborn into this world, training had become his obsession.

The memory of having been just an ordinary human in his previous life drove him forward.

Especially Hadō — the techniques of spiritual destruction — fascinated him in an almost magical way.

He felt like a sorcerer every time he cast a spiritual energy spell.

Standing in the silent courtyard, Kaito took a deep breath, raised his right hand, and began his nightly training.
