Ruth was just following along, bewildered by what was happening. Back then, she believed that she was simply dreaming about traveling with a soul by the name of Ellese through a dense forest. It shows where the gruesome punishment of Ellese took place.
Ruth only returned to her memory when someone pulled her, and she saw Jasmin. She thought it was just a dream, but she was wide awake because she saw Ruth and Ericka following them.
They continued their routine after the bonfire until their activities concluded the following day. Ruth was soundly asleep when she heard the woman's voice calling her by a name she didn't recognize.
It was said that she should follow her. She eventually arrived at the abandoned warehouse. It seems they are fleeing from an enemy. It seems they are lost and don't know which way to go to return to their camp. Where they can safely return.
"Where are we?" Ericka's only question back then, clearly exhausted. They were also exhausted because they didn't know where to go.
Jasmin was also trembling, looking for something. She is pointing at something.
"Come here, over there." Jasmin pointed, but they didn't immediately see what she was pointing at.
They are also being dragged. There is a lot of wild grass all around it. They found a small house—a hut.
"That might be a trap." Thalia heard it.
"It's not," Ericka said back then.
Jasmin nodded back then.
"I stayed overnight here after becoming lost in the forest." Jasmin remembers what she's been through.
They heard rustling sounds and footsteps.
"Let's go; they might see us." Ericka whispered, pushing the two of them, so they hurriedly entered and climbed into a small nipa hut.
Ericka walked and tapped on the ground; she was looking for something. She continued to search until she found something.
They found a staircase leading into its depths. Ruth's brow furrowed; to her, this passage was familiar, and she recognized it.
There was a memory trying to break free in her mind that she couldn't recall.
"Let's go."
They immediately descended, closing the door behind them. It's so dark.
Jasmin brought a light with her.
"Jasmin, they might notice that we're here." Thalia said worriedly back then.
"No, they won't be able to find us here." Ericka said.
It seemed like they knew what was going to happen, which was suspicious, so Thalia and Ruth exchanged glances.
They saw a small bed back then; it could fit four people.
There was a memory that was unclear to Ruth; she felt that she had already lived and lay down on a small bed, just like their situation now.
She saw Jasmin sitting on a bed.
"Jasmin, how did you find this place?" Thalia then asked.
"To be honest, there was a woman who taught me in this hideout."
"Who?" she asked.
"They said her name is Felisa."
Ruth furrowed her brow and stared blankly into space.
Felisa, Ellese? Felisa and Ellese were the murdered siblings. This thought crossed her mind. She noticed Thalia looking confused.
"Felisa Fuego?" Thalia could only ask, looking at her.
They heard a long sigh; it was Ericka.
"If I tell you that I can talk to them or that my spirit travels and I see them, would you believe me?" They only heard Ericka's question.
"Traveling? Are you dreaming as if it's real?" Ruth had heard Thalia ask that before.
She looked at Thalia, and even Jasmin was looking at Thalia.
"I see what they are going through when I travel."
"Seeing? You don't feel what they're going through? Thalia asked.
"What do you mean, Thalia?" She heard Ericka's question, seemingly confused.
She was also confused now; she sat on a single bed. She had been comfortable there before. She feels safe now.
"Nothing, what matters is that you're safe, Jasmin."
Jasmin trembled then. It seemed like Jasmin felt that she was experiencing something similar to what Jasmin was going through, as if she was escaping from something.
"After I used the restroom, I saw a shadow; I thought it was Ruth and she was coming back to our tent, so I quickly left. I thought Thalia had already finished using the restroom by then." While recounting this.
"I followed her until I reached the dense forest. It turns out the one I followed was a man, a man wearing a hood and jacket that you could say looked like a shadow. I was scared back then. Suddenly, I smelled something like a sleeping pill, and I lost consciousness." Continuing with this.
"When I woke up, my hands were tied, my eyes weren't blindfolded, I was in a warehouse, I could smell blood, and I could hear screams not far away, women crying." Ruth saw the fear in Jasmin's eyes; even though she was scared, she was telling the story.
"Don't tell the story anymore, Jasmin. We already understand that." Thalia added.
"I escaped because a man helped me."
They all exchanged glances at that moment.
"Did you recognize who helped you?" Ericka asked.
She just shook her head. "His face was hidden."
"He let me escape when his companions were not around." Jasmin's account.
"I felt like a criminal hiding. I ignored hunger and thirst just to escape. I will escape from their hands." Jasmin said.
"Why did you end up at the warehouse again?" Ruth asked back then.
"Felisa showed up to me again when I saw you walking towards the warehouse; I immediately pulled you away. Because you would be in danger if they saw you."
Ruth just swallowed. She owed her life to Jasmin.
Thalia thought deeply at that time; she didn't move, she sat in the corner, with only the flashlight as their light.
"What else did you hear, Jasmin?" Ericka then asked.
"While I was escaping and traversing the dense forest, their territory was vast. I didn't know if I would make it out alive or if this was my final destination. Occasionally I hear them talking; they will kill me immediately if they find me because they might think I will report them to the police."
"You really need to report it; we will help you escape from here."
"I'm scared." That's all she heard from Jasmin.
"It's better if we take a break for a moment. We'll come out of this experience alive together." She heard her say to Thalia.
They didn't know what time it was outside; she would rather not sleep because she was also afraid of closing her eyes, fearing she might be taken somewhere again and might endanger her companions.
"Go ahead and sleep for now, Ruth." Don't worry, I can't sleep either right now." Thalia even said to her,.
She turned because she knew these things had happened. She is not visited by sleep.
Ruth is really comfortable in this place.
Ruth noticed that Jasmin had fallen asleep on the same bed; she saw her drained body.
"Aren't you going to tell her that the one she talked to was a spirit?" Ruth asked Ericka.
"I don't need to tell her, because she already knows." Ericka said.
"Isn't she afraid?" Ruth asked.
"At death's door, you'll do anything to escape, no matter who helps, living or dead." That's what he believes."
She didn't answer anymore. If that happened to her, like it is happening to Jasmin now, she might lose her mind.
