Chapter 2:The Beginning of my Most Shitty Day (2)
"Aah... Ouch... Can you plz... stop giving me these electric shocks now?" He asked while lying down on the grass due to falling down by the early shock and staring at the screen panel manifested between him and the clear blue sky with clouds.
[Of course, Host! Just mind your language with me because there are dear readers who are watching you and me.]
"What do mean by that???"
[....]
"Hey... hey system, are you seriously treating my life as a writing material for your fun??!"
[....]
"At least, answer my questions first before disappearing like always, you useless system..." Max said softly while watching the screen panel disappearing.
[....]
"What a shitty day of my life is today!!! First, I got transmigrated in this Eldgonet or whatever named world which is essentially a game-like world of coc in the middle of god knows where in the forest and, as if that's not good enough, I got such a nice system which is really one of a kind, pretty much useless that only knows to run his mouth on the screen while giving electric shock upon badmouthing it."
[It's seems, Host doesn't learned the lesson from earlier??]
Zap... Shock....
Ahaaa....
After a moment later,
"So, what were we discussing earlier?!" He asked while again standing up on his feet's and starting walking slowly towards the door of the Town hall.
[About how great I am while you are begging me? Host!]
Eh?!!
"Are you really sure... That you are a system... Why does it feel like to me that you are only a troll or a scammer hiding behind this screen panel while laughing your ass off while making my life worse?!" He said suspiciously and narrowing his eyes while thinking thoughtfully.
[....]
***
Somewhere unknown in unknown dimension.
In a room filled with books and novels with posters of some anime's sticking around the walls.
A person can be seen sitting on a desk with a screen in front, whose presence alone can make mortals kneel and kowtow before his divine self.
On the screen, surprisingly, Max Oliver, can be seen while looking around and talking by himself like he's talking to someone else despite being alone and walking towards the Town hall building.
"Did this little shit guess that behind his system is some powerful being playing with his life?" The godly figure muttered to himself but seconds later, burst into a laughter.
"Well! What can you even do if you know that, I am behind all this coming transmigration of all the people in his old world and now being send to my creation game world where you will all serve as a entertainment for beings of my level along with serving as my writing material for my new novel as the main mc with me serving as a system in disguise, aren't I am too nice!?"
Hahahaha
A evil laugh can be heard escaping from the room to the whole building which chills even the hearts of his close friends living there.
"Hey!? What do you think that lunatic laughing his ass off?!!"
"Surely, have gotten a new idea or material for writing his novels??"
"Are you sure, he doesn't need help? I think he's going to go crazy, if it goes like this."
"Nah! He will be alright, come on, let's check his new novel that he's writing under the penname ChaosSuperstar."
"Surely, if he's laughing like this, he should have founded something interesting for his new novel?!!"
"Yes! Let's check out this shit!!"
***
[Host! I think you are now being, delusional! It seems you'd readed too much webnovels in your past for imagining things in your head!!]
"Hmm... It seems you are right on this one. It's probably due to change in environment and stress due to thinking about the future." He said while thinking inwardly secretly to avoid being read like before, ' right on this one, my ass!!... It's probably that I am right, about my earlier conjecture of me being a plaything of some divine being in this game like world for his entertainment who's too much bored for his own good.'
[Right! You have me with you to face the future, so you don't need to worry!!]
'And that's why I am more worried, you idiot!!' He thought secretly in his mind.
"Let's check this place first!" Max replied while standing before the door of his new home in this world.
Max gripped the wooden handle and pushed open the Town Hall door. The hinges groaned, and a breath of cool, earthy air greeted him. He stepped inside, blinking as his eyes adjusted to the dim light.
The interior was surprisingly well-equipped, far more comfortable than he expected from the rustic exterior. Sunlight filtered through narrow slits in the walls, illuminating a sturdy wooden bed tucked into one corner, complete with a straw mattress, a woolen blanket, and a lumpy pillow. Next to it stood a small chest for clothes and personal belongings, and a simple washbasin rested on a low table nearby, with a clay jug of fresh water beside it.
To the right, a compact kitchen area had been set up: a stone hearth with a blackened kettle, a few iron pots and pans hanging from hooks, and shelves lined with jars of dried herbs, grains, and a loaf of coarse bread. A wooden cupboard held basic utensils, and a barrel in the corner promised a supply of clean water.
But what truly caught Max's eye was the centerpiece of the room-a large, circular table made of polished dark wood, inlaid with glowing runes. As he approached, the runes pulsed softly, responding to his presence. The surface shimmered, and suddenly a three-dimensional, god's-eye view of the entire village appeared above the table-a living, moving map. Tiny figures bustled about: villagers tending crops, guards patrolling, buildings rising and falling as if by invisible hands.
Max stared in awe. With a thought, the image zoomed in on the Town Hall, then panned to the outer defenses. Menus and icons hovered in the air, eerily reminiscent of the mobile game interface he knew so well. He realized he could select buildings, assign tasks, and even issue commands to his villagers-all with a wave of his hand or a mental nudge.
A plush chair stood beside the magical table, clearly intended for the village chief. Max sat down, feeling the weight of responsibility settle on his shoulders. The rest of the hall was lined with shelves holding scrolls, maps, and supplies, while a small writing desk and a battered lantern completed the furnishings.
Despite the lingering scent of woodsmoke and the humble surroundings, the Town Hall felt like a true command center-a blend of medieval simplicity and magical technology. For the first time since arriving, Max felt a glimmer of hope. Maybe, just maybe, he could survive-and thrive-in this strange new world.
[Not bad! Don't you think? Host!!]
"Yeah... Not bad at least. At first, I didn't have much hope from the outer view of this lvl 1 Town Hall but color me surprise!!"
[Of course! Host, if chiefs of the new villages don't get at least this much convenience, they will surely commit suicide, if they know what type of future they hold ahead!! Hehe hehe]
"....."
It's been only less than ten minutes, But now....
I am getting fucking scared because of this shitty system?!!
