Chapter 21 - Maybe… just one more day.

But then… her mind drifted.

Drifted to the moment she saw him fighting to breathe… the way his body was cold but still holding on—like it wanted to live. Like he wasn't ready to give up.

And there she was—ready to walk away from her own life like it didn't hold any meaning.

Maybe it didn't.

But something about that moment pierced through her. His fight… his breath… his presence.

It reached the deepest, coldest part of her. A soft, broken voice inside her whispered—maybe I shouldn't end things now… maybe it's not all over.

He didn't even know her name. But he saved her.

Again.

Just like he always had—through a screen, through his words, his smile, his presence. He gave her hope without even knowing… and today, once again, when she had given up, he gave her a reason to stay.

Maybe… just one more day.

That thought wrapped itself around her heart gently.

One more day to breathe. To exist. To hope.

She remembered the girl she once was.

The one who laughed without weighing the world on her shoulders.

The one who kept a diary full of wishes and silly doodles.

The one who made photo frames of every tiny, beautiful memory.

The one who didn't overthink the future—just lived the moment.

But that girl felt like someone she'd buried long ago.

Now, she was stuck in the past. A past that robbed her of everything.

But maybe… just maybe, it wasn't too late to bring a piece of that girl back.
