RAIN POV
He dragged me straight through the dark corridors, past the growling guards, past the frightened maids who wouldn't dare meet my eyes. And then—just like that—we were inside one of the inner chambers. His room.
And I knew it was his room, not just because it reeked of leather, blood, and arrogance—but because of the massive bed in the center. The kind you don't sleep on. The kind you conquer on.
I yanked my hand from his grip. "Was that really necessary?"
He turned to me slowly, still smirking, and sat down on the edge of the bed like he had all the time in the world.
"That tone, Rain… don't tell me you actually feel bad that I killed Nara," he said, his smile wide and eerie. "I know you better than that. You don't give a damn."
I crossed my arms over my chest, my jaw tight. "Even if I didn't cry over her, you should've let them go. They said they would leave."
