Eggs were truly more valuable than even gold in a mine. And yet, just like gold in a mine, some work needed to be done in order to extract the full value from this precious resource.
Egg Banks truly were a way to store the 'gold', but at the same time, whilst ownership, and the status of ownership and options, was one thing, when push came to shove, no one would live forever, and in the end, gold and wealth existed in order to either accumulate more wealth, or otherwise utilise it - like energy - to create change or transformation in the world.
Money was like a form of energy - and could effect great changes - and yet, at the same time, strictly speaking, just like any kind of energy, it had its limitations.
Gold and money couldn't buy you more time or life.
And yet, this was where the value of eggs would become apparent. Eggs were a different kind of energy - and had the potential to create life itself, along with the potential which it offered.
Of course, this was a big responsibility, not to be undertaken lightly, and as a result, Sally and the Anti-Rizz Realm were considering what to do with their own Egg Bank as well as the Ex Vitro Pregnancy technology as part of the Endless Freedom project.
The goal of the project was of course to liberate women from the gestational investment that was currently an inherent part of biology. With this in mind, to provide people with more options and opportunities, what should they do to protect themselves from the Egg Bank Bandits and other villains that would doubtless arise in the future?
First of all, Ex Vitro Pregnancy technology would have to be kept a secret - simply because the world wasn't ready for it -would they mass produce babies to order, just like ordering something from the supermarket?
At the same time, in a sense, this was already happening, albeit in a softer, more socially-accepted way via people's preferences when dating, and of course, certain attributes could currently be chosen by people planning to conceive anyway.
However, in the future, who was to say that these social and cultural relative norms wouldn't change? Considering history, it was likely that convenience and technological advances had led to increasing changes.
Once upon a time, IVF was considered controversial, but then as the benefits and results were seen, it quickly became normalised.
In other words, there was no doubt that the Endless Freedom Project and the Ex-Vitro-Pregnancy Technology had the potential to provide incredible benefits, but at the same time, there was of course also risks - such as the potential commoditisation of babies in the hands of unscrupulous individuals.
As a result it was clear. In order to fully actualise the value of their gold mine, Sally and the Anti-Rizz Realm would have to first create the infrastructure in order to make the Endless Freedom Project truly viable and ethical.
