Chapter 349: Taking Turns on the Battlefield
Sleeping together with a girl — it sounds simple, and in fact, it is simple.
It's just that… you can't stretch your legs at all, and that made Sakurai Saki suffer terribly.
Do girls all like hugging someone when they sleep? Just like koalas — it's so hot I'm dying here! Itsuki, please have some mercy on the one being hugged, will you?!
Just… I'm saying just loosen your grip a little.
Otherwise, how the hell am I supposed to sleep like this?
The pleasant fragrance, the burning breath against the back of his neck, and the soft feeling pressing against his back—
All of it was testing the limits of Sakurai Saki's sanity.
"Little brother~" Itsuki murmured in her sleep.
"That place… you can't…"
Hey, what the hell are you dreaming about? The first part sounded fine, but add that second line and everything's wrong!
Deep breath, calm down.
Try closing your eyes, clearing your mind.
'One sheep, two sheep… two buns, three buns…'
Damn it, now my head's full of… ehem, anyway, there's no way I can sleep like this.
Sakurai Saki carefully slipped out of Itsuki's arms and got off the bed.
Forget it, might as well step out to the balcony for some fresh air.
It felt way too hot inside.
It's said that a woman's body temperature averages about 0.3 degrees higher than a man's, and heat travels from high to low… gah, what the hell am I even thinking about?
Sakurai tilted his head, feeling a bit dizzy.
'Why does my head feel a little light?' He shook it gently, then opened the door and stepped outside.
His movements were light enough not to wake Itsuki.
He went downstairs, drank a glass of water, then stepped out onto the balcony to catch the breeze.
The spring night air was a little cool, but for someone who had just gone through that kind of "torture," it felt perfectly refreshing.
"Haa~"
For some reason, he kept feeling sleepy today. What was going on?
Leaning against the railing, Sakurai Saki started recalling his ability from earlier.
Time Jump.
A time-type ability — extremely rare — but as for its exact use… since this was his first time encountering it, even Sakurai himself wasn't too sure.
Even the side effects were still unclear to him.
Clack, clack.
Footsteps echoed behind him.
Sakurai Saki turned around and saw Yotsuba.
Her eyes were half closed, her movements unsteady — was she sleepwalking?
Well, whatever. If she's sleepwalking, that's got nothing to do with me.
At least, that's what Sakurai Saki thought — until Yotsuba collapsed right across the stairs, blocking the only way up.
Seriously? She's blocking the way for real.
This scene looked exactly like that Pokémon episode Sakurai once watched, where a giant Snorlax blocked the road so Ash couldn't pass.
A wild Yotsuba appeared!
Beep beep~
You send out little Sakurai to battle!
Go, little Sakurai! Use "STANDO PAWAR!"
It's super effective!
"Yotsuba nee-san!! Wake up!!"
Sakurai Saki shook her a few times, but seeing no response, he lightly patted her face.
Just when he was about to use the "Wake-Up Slap"—
Yotsuba suddenly pulled him into her arms.
The staircase wasn't very wide, and now two bodies were tangled together.
The scent was different. Sakurai Saki immediately noticed that.
If Itsuki smelled like roses, then Yotsuba's scent was a soft jasmine.
Probably because their shampoos were different.
No, wait! This isn't the time to be thinking about that!!
"Sakurai-san~"
Huh? Even in her dreams she's calling my name?
"Stop it already… hick, don't call me… idiot anymore," Yotsuba murmured haltingly. "Nino, I like…"
What now? Why are we suddenly talking about Nino!?
Sakurai Saki tilted his head slightly, looking at Yotsuba's hair.
These five sisters — after changing clothes, they all looked completely identical. Only Yotsuba, with her shoulder-length short hair, was easy to recognize. If it had been Itsuki or Miku, he probably wouldn't have known who was who even if he died.
Yotsuba hugged him tightly, but her hands weren't behaving at all — they started wandering all over Sakurai Saki's body.
'Don't… don't go any lower, please.' Sakurai Saki was completely panicking now. He didn't dare move too much, afraid of waking her up.
But if this kept going… she was about to touch there!
"This is…" Yotsuba's delicate eyebrows furrowed slightly.
'Where the hell do you think you're holding!?'
Just then, footsteps echoed again nearby.
Clack clack~
Sakurai Saki no longer cared about waking her up — he quickly wriggled out of Yotsuba's arms.
Miku was stumbling down the stairs, looking like she was heading to the bathroom.
She squinted her sleepy eyes and stopped in front of the two of them.
"Yotsuba?" Miku tilted her head, her half-awake mind completely unable to understand why Yotsuba was sprawled out here.
"Sakurai-san, I'm not… an idiot…" Yotsuba was still talking in her sleep.
Sakurai Saki covered his face — what a scene straight out of hell.
Why did every visit to these quintuplets' house have to turn into some ridiculous situation like this!?
Absolutely absurd.
"Yotsuba, move over~" Miku said in a sleepy, spoiled tone.
Sakurai Saki quickly lifted Yotsuba to the side of the stairs, clearing a path for Miku.
Miku, like a glitched program that had just been fixed, immediately resumed walking down the stairs.
Sakurai Saki let out a sigh of relief, then slipped his arms under Yotsuba and carried her up.
Even though his body had become smaller, his strength hadn't actually weakened. The reason he had acted weak in front of Itsuki earlier was simply because Sakurai Saki didn't want her to notice anything strange.
Especially since Itsuki already knew he wasn't an ordinary person.
If she ever found out the full truth — it would be total social death.
He carried Yotsuba back to her room, exhausted, then stepped out and sighed deeply.
And of course — right there in the hallway, he ran into Miku, who had just finished in the bathroom.
Miku was staggering, looking like she might collapse any second.
When people wake up in the middle of the night, their brains run slow — they might even wake up the next morning wondering, "Did I really get up last night?"
Sakurai Saki stood in front of Itsuki's door.
Though reluctant, going back to sleep with Itsuki was definitely the best option right now.
He reached out — and the moment his hand touched the doorknob—
A shadow appeared behind him.
"Sa…ki-kun~"
Miku wrapped her arms around Sakurai Saki, murmuring his name.
Again!? How many times is this now!? What, do all five sisters have to take turns or something!?
Sakurai Saki cursed inwardly.
Then he realized something extremely embarrassing — he couldn't move again.
Miku seemed intent on dragging him back to her room, tugging at him with surprising strength.
Sakurai Saki's mind waged a fierce battle, but in the end, he gave up and surrendered Itsuki.
"Sorry, Itsuki."
Looks like I'm about to… become Miku's hug pillow.
Dragged back into her room by sleepwalking Miku, Sakurai Saki used his vampire night vision to take in the surroundings.
On the desk, beside a small iron key, lay an open photo album that caught his eye.
"Gulp…" He stared at its contents, swallowing nervously.
Why…
Why were all the photos of him!?
And not just from this year — there were pictures from last year and the year before, too.
Not daring to think too deeply about it, Sakurai Saki let Miku pull him down onto her bed.
"Sa…ki-kun, love you~"
Her sweet breath brushed against his face.
Miku's voice was so sugary it made his skin tingle, and Sakurai couldn't help blushing.
Don't go confessing while you're hugging me…
Although Sakurai Saki had long known about Miku's feelings, being attacked from this close — even he couldn't take it.
He thought things would stop there.
But to his shock—
Miku slowly leaned in.
The charged atmosphere closed in, and the two of them began to kiss.
Her soft tongue brushed teasingly against his teeth.
Before long, it found its "partner" and the dance began.
"Mmh… mmh~" Miku's breathing grew increasingly ragged.
One of her hands unconsciously slid up across his chest.
Just as the two were sinking deeper into the moment—
Sakurai Saki suddenly felt something strange.
"Why… why is my ability activating on its own? Is it because of… doing something erotic?"
Before he could figure it out,
his body dissolved like foam right there on Miku's bed, leaving behind only the blushing girl, panting softly.
It took several minutes before her breathing finally steadied again.
