Michelle who seem to understand the situation walked up to Edward
"Am sorry you saw this; I'll ask the pilot_" Edward James was saying but Michelle smiled knowingly
" I presume this is why you asked me to come without an early notice" Michelle said and Edward walked past her to grab a bottle of Johnnie walker blue label, pouring it into a glass and dawned it in one go.
" Still with the guy from Bold family; haven't learned your lesson?" Edward asked through gritted teeth
"Edward I don't think this is the right time for this conversation but I'll say Pete and I were both victims, he never had an idea I was pregnant because his father sent him abroad" Michelle told him
" And you believed him" said Edward
" I got to know the truth he was sent abroad because of his sister who I accidentally met few months before that and_" she was saying but Edward scoffed " you think it's wasn't his plan to get back with you or better still_" Edward was going to say
"Edward, Kassandra isn't like that and I've been wondering why you're against the the Bold family" Edward locked eyes with her but didn't tell her his reasons even though he had long avenged it but the name she mentioned got him thinking for a minute
"I can't deprive Moon the love of his father Edward, Pete isn't bad and I'd love it if you let go of your discord with him_ he once told me he regretted his actions towards you but didn't say more. Tell me what's it you have against him and I'll apologize" Michelle told him
"I didn't invite you here for this and I don't care what you do with the Bold kid, I'll ask Jack to bring you back to the cottage" Edward told her dismissively
" Until when Edward?" She asked him
"What do you mean?" He asked not getting her point
" It's been over a decade now since you ended our friendship, so until when? Because am tired of your hate" Michelle told him sniffing back her tears; she never new what went wrong between the two guys she cares so much about. Edward her cousin and Pete Bold her boyfriend; Edward had walked up to her after school asking her to end things with Pete with no significant reasons and when she refused asking him for an explanation Pete disappeared and she discovered she's pregnant all effort to get Pete was abortive and Edward James didn't as much spare her ' I warned you I'll break ties with you didn't I' this were Edward words the day she left for the cottage and he never visited just her aunt_ grandma James who made sure she was safe providing her invisible human securitys and basic needs and domestic staffs who helped care for her son as she returned to school.
"I never hated you and I still don't, I was disappointed how cheap you gave yourself to him" Edward told her and a flicker of hope came to her.
"Am sorry Edward, I was young and wanted to fly when my wings were yet strong_ am so sorry please, I miss our friendship and your support and I keep asking myself until when but I'll go on my knees to seek for your forgiveness Edward, it's killing me please" Michelle said making attempt to go on her knees but Edward stopped her.
"Am neither Almighty God nor your father Michelle don't kneel before me not even to that asshole Pete_ come here" he said and Michelle hugged him even though Edward didn't hug her back, well not that he didn't want to but his wife who just came out of their bedroom with her water jug in hands indicating she only came out to get it refilled but unfortunately saw how he comforted Michelle.
"Am not dead yet" Maria's voice came through pulling Michelle from Edward, seeing how they both looked worried Maria sneered at them.
"What, did I interrupt your make out section_ what are you again? Cousins right?" She asked mockingly and Edward found her attitude amusing
