Chapter 7 - The Adventurer's City

The following morning the party continued to walk in the forest, this lasted for three more days, Ahriman was tired from walking, a feeling he forgot since his first time in Hell, just when he felt his legs give out, Lucas and Tories began to smile.

In front of them a great city appeared, tall walls of stones circled the city and the near forest made it very hard to see from inside the forest.

The two adventurers sprinted towards a gate, it was an enormous wooden door, in front of it there were three fully armoured guards, shiny swords were laced at their side.

The moment they saw those two their eyes became more concerned and ready, Ahriman felt their desire to fight, even if those three were insignificant compared to the enemies he fought when he was a demon lord they were a danger for his now weakened self.

Tories arrived in front of the trio first and I was already ready to a fight, but strangely she didn't took her weapon in hand, she simply smile, in a few second the three guards began to laught and a conversation started between them and Tories.

After a few seconds even Lucas entered in the conversation, seeing my confused face he slowly told me "they are some friends of ours we play this game with murderous intent just when we meet after a long talk, it's a sort of tradition" one of the guards seeing Lucas talk to me asked him who I was.

Lucas in a few minutes explained everything and the guard offered him help in giving me an home (tent), but Lucas kindly declined the offer saying he had everything under control.

Without a warning the guard, an old man that was easily in his seventies caressed Ahriman's head smiling while he did that, even if it lasted just a few seconds it was enough to sent the great Demon Lord Ahriman faint, of everything that Hell taught him keeping a distance was essential, maybe only one being could get near him without dying in the past, but now everything changed.

Ahriman came back to his senses in just a fear moments, even if still surprised he calmed down in a really short time.

The third guard, one particularly fat, screamed "Lucas! When you enter be careful even the walls have eyes" after the last sentence his smile slowly fell.

Once the doors opened Ahriman couldn't believe what he was seeing, all kind of people rooamed anywhere around the castle.

There were saints, warriors and mages all kind of the different magic related adventurers class , but the demon Leader was booked and for now you just need to make my voice travel far and white.

After walking in the crowded streets for a while the party arrived at a great structure, it had a sophisticated eye and it gave of an aura of power.

Just as they entered a young elf woman laughing drank an entire bottle of beer her eyes fuzzy and full of victory, she exclaimed screaming "FINALLY I WON AT THE CASINO, AHAHAH A" all the presents looked at her as if it was a desperate situation, one of the worst case, impossible to repair.

But that wasn't the strangest thing, it was that the two ran towards her taking her in their arms and saving her from a bad fall.

Lucas while maintaining the elf up presented her to Ahriman "Hey kid, I present you the leader of our party, Tryx, please say something to her, she is an expert of dead languages ".

Before Ahriman could speak the elf began to trow up all the alcohol she drank, in the end Ahriman didn't knew if he should have felt fooled or if he simply expected that strange party to have an even stranger Boss...
