Chapter 8 - Chapter 6 - Daily Planet

Caroline POV

I walked down the street wearing a black jacket, white fitted shirt, fitted blue jean pants, and low heel boots. My hair was in a ponytail and I was wearing a hat and glasses. People couldn't tell the difference really when you think about it.

I was reading the paper, 'SUPERMAN AND NEW HERO NOVA DEFEATS THE HAMMER!' I smiled at this as Lex is probably fumming about now, he probably thinks I'm Kryptonian but he is way off mark.

I walked into the Daily Planet as I took the elevator up to walk in to spot Clark at his desk to walk up to him.

Caroline: I told you I would come to see you and there's not a warm welcome.

Clark looked at him as I tilted my glasses as he recognized me.

Clark: Oh hey.

Caroline: Caroline Forbes, CEO of Forbes Industries, at your service.

Lois: Forbes Industries, there the leading Industry in Aerospace, research and development, investment, technology, advanced technology, manufacturing, biotech, shipping, shipbuilding, food, medicine, electronics, entertainment, alternative energy, and.

Caroline: Woah, someone did there homework.

Lois: They popped up one day and started beating LuthorCorp at everything.

Caroline: We made mergers with a lot of companies except Luthor's. I'm sorry but I don't trust that weasel.

Lois: Wait, your Caroline Forbes, as in the rich girl whose less about parties but serious about business.

Caroline: That's me, Clark wanted an interview and I promised him one.

Lois: Wait to hold out on me.

Caroline: Plus the Goverment plus Luthor been trying to get there hands on tech already, trying to use legal ways to get it just because I won't give them a taste.

Cat: Wow, so boring.

I smiled at that comment.

Caroline: Cat Grant, how's our favorite annoying Queen Bee doing?

Cat: She's great, how my favorite skeptic.

The tension in the room could be cut with a butter knife as my avatar in this world was bullied by Cat Grant in High School.

Lois: You two know each other?

Caroline: You can say that, Kitty Cat knew me in High School, we had a rivalry that she took too far.

Cat: Me? What about you?

Caroline: What about me?

Cat: You did fair share as well let's not forget.

Caroline: Prom.

Cat: That wasn't my fault.

Caroline: Wasn't your fault, Wow! You are really something.

Lois: What happened at Prom?

Cat: Stay out of it Lois!

Caroline: I asked her to Prom, she didn't show up, not only did I look like fool going by myself, she went with somebody else!

Clark, Lois, and Jimmy know that was really messed up.

Cat: I said I was sorry.

Caroline: Yeah, years later.

My avatars emotions were evident when a tear came down my face as I wiped it away.

Caroline: Clark we're gonna have to do that interview later, here's my number to my cell.

I walked away but I can hear someone following me to the elevator.

Cat: So that's it? Your leaving?

Caroline: What do you want from me Cat?

Cat: A second chance.

Caroline: Why? So you can hurt me again?

Cat got in front of me before I pushed the button.

Cat: So I can do everything right.

Damn these soulmate bonds!

Caroline: Fine, dinner at my place tonight at 8, don't be late and don't mess this up!

Cat: I won't.

Caroline: Here's my number, don't make me regret this Cat.

I got in the elevator as I left.

Cat walked back with a smile on her face to everyone.

Lois: What's that look for?

Cat: I got a date tonight?

Lois: Don't mess this up Cat.
