Eric kept staring at his soul flame. The soul flame was colored red—perhaps, it was related when it was still inside the mental lantern. Its shade then turned deeper when the lantern became the soul lantern.
Suddenly, his soul lantern grew a bit, affecting his soul flame—its height and its density. Eric continued to assess how his soul flame would last if the Echofire Shield would be activated—how it would also fare against soul attacks of the stronger opponents.
When it reached the second stage, Expanding Radiance, the soul flame illuminated the whole gazebo for a second. Eric was not blinded to say the least, on the contrary, his eyes widened. He felt reinvigorated spiritually.
