"So next… Gamora took Thanos to Vormir, and then on that planet, she was killed by Thanos?"
Star-Lord was the first to speak, piecing together the rest of the puzzle.
There was no doubt about it.
"Didn't you all say the Soul Stone requires the soul of a loved one in exchange?" Strange raised a question. "So… does that mean Thanos really loved Gamora?"
"He truly saw Gamora as his daughter, not merely a killing machine?"
The room fell briefly silent.
This didn't quite match anyone's perception of Thanos.
That madman — the butcher who slaughtered half the universe — actually had love in his heart?
"I'm afraid so. This footage didn't just give us clues about the Soul Stone; it also gave us a more delicate understanding of Thanos."
Captain America spoke solemnly. "Thanos may be insane, but he's not purely insane."
The footage completely revealed Thanos's ideology before everyone's eyes.
Thanos's conversation with Gamora centered around his act of killing half a population.
Thanos believed the universe was sick.
Resources are finite, but life in the universe is infinite. So, the way to maintain balance… is to kill half.
He even called Gamora's homeworld — after half its population was erased — "a paradise."
To be fair, the man's intention was "good."
He even loved his daughter.
This allowed everyone to see another side of the "Mad Titan."The universal demon king suddenly became more three-dimensional — someone with flesh and blood.
But even so, it didn't change the fact that Thanos was a cosmic threat.
And in the future, they still had to eliminate him.
"Now we also know the order of the Reality Stone and the Soul Stone."
Thor focused on the Stones. "By then Thanos already had three Stones! Obviously, he obtained the Power Stone first, then the Space Stone, then the Reality Stone, and only after that the Soul Stone."
After the Soul Stone, naturally, came the Time Stone and the Mind Stone.
They had now completely mapped out Thanos's path to collecting all six Infinity Stones.
And not just that — they had also fully discovered the location of the Soul Stone.
The only one still unclear was the Reality Stone.
Everyone on site was visibly excited. As the questions continued, the pieces they obtained became more numerous, and the picture grew more complete.
It was only a matter of time before they knew everything about all six Stones.
"The footage clearly happened after the Asgardian ship was destroyed by Thanos. That means there's still some time before that event. I wonder if the current Gamora knows anything about Vormir."
Dr. Banner raised an extremely important question.
Everyone immediately grew more serious. This needed to be confirmed as soon as possible.
"Once the quiz ends, we'll confirm it with Gamora immediately," Captain America said at once.
If Gamora had no idea, that was fine. But if she did know… didn't that mean Thanos might come to Earth to take her back?
They'd better prepare properly.
Earth currently had no power capable of confronting Thanos.
"I think Gamora probably doesn't know yet," Tony Stark said after some thought.
"In the footage, the relationship between Gamora and Nebula is obviously already good. Gamora not only revealed the Soul Stone secret for Nebula's sake, she had even discussed it privately with her."
"But right now? We've all seen — Gamora and Nebula hate each other like enemies."
"So I think that event happened in the future, after their relationship had improved."
Tony's reasoning sounded plausible, but it was still only speculation.
Gamora could have found the Soul Stone earlier and simply kept it hidden in her heart.
Then only after her relationship with Nebula warmed up would she reveal it.
Possible.
No one could be certain.
Everything would need to be confirmed with Gamora after the quiz.
But in reality, Tony's guess was correct — because Gamora and Nebula's main mission at the moment was assisting Ronan in finding the Orb.
They hadn't even gotten to the Soul Stone yet.
So Gamora indeed did not know the location of the Soul Stone.
[Please listen to the question: Among the following individuals, who is referred to as "Mie-Ba" (Dad Destroyer)?]
[A. Nebula][B. Gamora][C. Loki][D. Star-Lord]
[Friendly reminder: Answer correctly to receive one Modified Monster Cell sample.Answer incorrectly, and one of your personal attributes will be randomly deducted — including but not limited to knowledge, experience, skills, belongings, etc…]
After some discussion, the system's voice suddenly sounded, interrupting their thoughts.
A new question appeared.
Everyone looked toward the big screen.
But after just one glance, their expressions turned strange.
"Mie-Ba?"
What kind of nickname was that?
"Mie-Ba?"Thor was the first to speak, confused. "Literally, it seems to mean… destroy-father? As in, kill one's own father? But who would do such a thing? That's patricide!"
In Thor's view, that was unforgivable.
That was your father!
"Judging from the literal meaning, it does imply patricide." Banner agreed. "Nebula, for example — the footage showed she snuck onto the ship to assassinate Thanos, and she almost succeeded."
"And beyond that, she also joined all of you in chopping off Thanos's head! That's also patricide, though she didn't strike the killing blow herself."
"But without her leading the way, Thanos wouldn't have died!"
"So the person we're choosing is someone who tried to kill their father?" Tony summarized.
"That should be it." Captain America nodded after thinking, then glanced at Star-Lord. "Although last time we saw only limited footage, Star-Lord… if you learned your father killed your mother, would you seek revenge?"
"Buddy, that freak isn't my father!" Star-Lord instantly shook his head, firmly denying it.
After learning what Ego really was, he had zero intention of recognizing that thing as his father.
And clearly Ego didn't see him as a son either — only as fuel for his plan to consume the universe.
The footage made that clear: Ego had Yondu deliver all his children to him.
Everyone without Celestial genes was killed by Ego.
If Star-Lord didn't have Celestial genes, he'd have been killed too.
And Ego even personally murdered Star-Lord's mother.
Star-Lord had no intention of acknowledging such a monster.
"And second, that freak killed my mother. Of course I intend to take revenge! One day, I will kill him with my own hands!" Star-Lord said decisively.
The moment the quiz revealed the truth, he had already made up his mind: Ego must die.
It was simply a matter of planning — Ego was too damn strong.
"Star-Lord, you're the only child of his who carries Celestial genes. He will definitely come for you in the future," Banner added seriously. "He'll want you to help him complete his expansion plan. And you? I don't believe you'd agree."
"Why? You trust me that much?"Star-Lord looked stunned. They barely knew each other — yet Banner trusted him?
Not a bad feeling, being trusted.
"I don't trust you, I trust the quiz system," Banner replied honestly. "So far, the system has never picked a lunatic or a monster. Every chosen one has been a superhero."
"So I believe you won't agree to your biological father's plan."
Star-Lord: "…"
Great. That ruined the moment.
Fine. He took back his emotional reaction.
"And if Star-Lord refuses… will that freak respect his son's wishes?" Banner continued smoothly, ignoring Star-Lord's glare.
Obviously not.
There was only one outcome: father and son become enemies.
So no matter how they analyzed it, Star-Lord killing his own father in the future was very likely.
"In other words, Star-Lord might kill his father, Nebula also tried to kill hers, and Gamora… we don't know if she ever took action against Thanos, but she certainly had no loyalty to him — only hatred. So it wouldn't be strange if she tried."
Tony concluded again.Three of the four options were already plausible.
Leaving only one.
"Loki." Tony turned to Thor. "We already know Loki is adopted. So who is his real father?"
"This is… a little awkward," Thor said with a dry cough, scratching his nose. "Loki's father is… Laufey."
What the—!
What the—!
WHAT THE—!
Every veteran quiz participant felt their hearts jolt violently.
Loki's father was a Frost Giant?!
No one saw that coming — Frost Giants were Asgard's enemies!
Odin's brain must've glitched — of all possible children to adopt, he chose the son of his mortal enemy?
Poor Laufey… killed by his own biological son without even realizing it.
"Laufey was deliberately let into Asgard by Loki, then killed! Poor guy was schemed to death by his own child." Tony exclaimed.
"So among the four options, whether past or future, all attempted patricide — some failed, some succeeded."
Strange summarized simply.
That was indeed the common point among all four.
Of course, Gamora hadn't yet, but she easily could.
"But everyone… if it were merely 'killing one's father,' why isn't the nickname 'Sha-Ba' (Kill-Dad) but 'Mie-Ba' (Destroy-Dad)?" Thor actually raised a rare thoughtful question. "There is a difference between 'kill' and 'destroy,' right?"
"Good point!" Star-Lord agreed instantly. "If the father isn't actually dead, we can't call it 'destroyed,' right?"
"So the answer must be someone who truly killed their father. Failed assassinations should be excluded!"
Kill vs. destroy — two completely different ideas.
Kill is an action.Destroy implies a result — the target is gone, dead.
Thor and Star-Lord's logic was solid, and everyone agreed.
"So Nebula and Gamora can be excluded first," Banner concluded.
"Thanos died twice, but once by Thor and once by Stark — not by Nebula or Gamora."
"So they're at most 'kill-dad,' not 'destroy-dad.'"
Nebula and Gamora were eliminated with no objections.
"Loki killed Laufey, so he's undoubtedly 'Mie-Ba.' Then what about Star-Lord?" Strange looked at option D.
Loki was confirmed; the only uncertainty was Star-Lord.
Star-Lord might kill his father in the future — but would he succeed?
Everyone had seen Ego's insane power.
No one believed Star-Lord could beat him.
"So… how likely is it that Star-Lord will kill that entire planet?" Strange pointed out the key question.
