Wave after wave of energy shockwaves continuously pounded onto Ego, creating one transparent hole after another across his body.
His body was blasted to shreds.
But the blue energy forms inside Ego flickered constantly. Despite his body being in a terrible state, Ego himself had not suffered a single scratch.
Everyone on the scene couldn't help but feel a silent shock. Truly, a Celestial being is worthy of the title—they could be torn to pieces and yet remain completely unharmed.
It was just too powerful.
And this was only one of Ego's "clones."
Taking a step back—what if Star-Lord killed this clone?
Ego's main body would remain unaffected. This guy is literally a planet!
Could it be that Star-Lord had really destroyed an entire planet?
"Who do you think you are?"
Ego's voice sounded again. Half his face was damaged, yet he glared at Star-Lord in anger.
"You killed my mother!" Star-Lord shouted back at Ego.
"I worked so hard to find a form suitable for you, and this is how you thank me? You really need to learn to grow up!"
Ego said furiously, then suddenly stretched out his hand.
Boom!
A blue energy tentacle burst from the ground, instantly piercing through Star-Lord's body.
"I originally wanted to work with you, but it seems now, you can only be a millennium battery!" Ego roared angrily at Star-Lord.
Then, Ego connected with the "light" inside Star-Lord. The entire planet instantly "lit up."
Everything shone with a dazzling blue light.
At this moment…
On a planet in the universe implanted with Ego's source, the blue energy forms began to grow like a tidal wave.
They surged from the ground to the surface, spreading at a frenzied pace, devouring everything on the planet.
"Ego is consuming this planet!"
Captain America said gravely.
The speed of consumption was shocking. At this rate, it wouldn't be long before the entire planet was completely devoured and transformed into one of Ego's "sub-planets."
In previous footage, Ego had clearly stated that he had planted his source on a thousand planets.
In other words, a thousand planets would be devoured in this manner.
By then, Ego's strength would increase dramatically, allowing him to target other planets in the universe, eventually consuming the entire cosmos.
This guy was extremely dangerous.
Everyone watching the screen felt a sense of crisis, an immense pressure.
No one had expected Ego's planetary consumption to be this fast.

But at this critical moment, a spaceship suddenly smashed through the wall and crashed into the hall, heading straight for Ego.
It hit directly, pinning Ego beneath the spaceship.
"Hello there, asshole!"
The pilot, dressed in blue, shouted at Ego.
"Yondu?"
Star-Lord was very surprised. Why would Yondu come to confront Ego?

For some reason, though, she had now betrayed him.
After a brief discussion, Star-Lord climbed into the cockpit, ready to pilot the ship, and saw Yondu inside.
"Yondu?" Star-Lord was surprised.
"Lucky for you I'm thin, or you'd have handed me over to this lunatic," Star-Lord said sarcastically to Yondu.
Yondu had previously told Star-Lord he spared him because he was thin enough to fit into spaces other Ravagers couldn't reach.
Star-Lord had believed it.
But clearly, that wasn't the real reason.
"You really thought that was why I spared you? Idiot!" Yondu said, controlling the ship. "Once I saw what happened to the other kids, there's no way I could hand you over!"
"You said you'd eat me!"
"That was a joke!"
"What?" Star-Lord on the screen was stunned—he had completely misjudged Yondu.
Yondu wasn't what he had imagined.
In fact, Yondu had saved his life!
Had Yondu handed him over to Ego, the consequences would have been unimaginable.
Whoosh!
On screen, after some effort, Yondu and Star-Lord finally broke free from Ego and successfully took off.
But under Star-Lord's control, the ship headed straight toward the cliff below.
"We should go up!" Yondu shouted.
"No. Ego is trying to destroy the universe we know. We have to kill him!" Star-Lord decided firmly.
The action began immediately.
They found a large hole and, with firepower support, flew straight into Ego's planetary core.
They reached outside Ego's brain.
However, Ego's brain was protected by a thick outer shell—not easily destroyed.
"The shell is thick, Rocket!" Gamora reminded Rocket.
"I can handle it!" Rocket replied.
He then launched a powerful energy attack at Ego's brain shell.
The thick shell gradually began to melt and break through. At this pace, making a hole through the shell seemed achievable.
Unfortunately, a fleet suddenly appeared, bombarding Star-Lord's ship.
Star-Lord and the team were forced to halt their action and flee.
"Shit!"
Star-Lord cursed under his breath.
He tried to track the fleet, to identify its origin, but it was useless—he could discern nothing.
The others also silently regretted it—such a perfect opportunity was destroyed.
Due to this unexpected interference, the Guardians engaged in a fierce battle.
They were strong indeed; with just one ship, they managed to wipe out the enemy fleet.
Of course, their ship was also destroyed. They had no choice but to land on Ego's planet.
Mini Groot, however, went missing—he had taken Rocket's bomb and was crawling through a narrow passage toward Ego's brain to plant it.
Meanwhile, the land and mountains around began to glow with dazzling blue light, shaking and collapsing.
Everyone knew Ego was arriving!
Sure enough…
The next moment, mountain debris shifted and merged, forming a massive, tens-of-meters-high face. Ego reappeared.
Huge tentacles began rampaging, attacking everyone on the scene.
Ssss! Ssss!
Star-Lord fired his twin guns at the tentacles, destroying them.
Yondu, surprisingly, whistled amidst the crisis, using his whistle to control an indestructible arrow, scattering the attacking tentacles.
Rocket, with bombs and agile tactics, coordinated methodically.
But it was only temporary.
"Soon we will merge. Peter, stop angering me!" Ego roared at Star-Lord.
Though he said "stop angering me," Ego was truly furious. The attack intensity surged instantly.
The situation turned rapidly.
Those who could once hold their own against Ego were immediately crushed, buried under rocks, unable to move.
Star-Lord himself was knocked down, pierced by several blue-glowing tentacles.
The scene was at a critical point.
"Ego is too powerful," Strange sighed. "Everyone is no match for him, far too weak."
"That's a whole planet!" Captain America added.
It was clear—the Guardians couldn't possibly defeat Ego. The only hope lay with Mini Groot.
But Mini Groot was trapped in a passage. The path that once allowed him to advance began to collapse.
If it continued, Groot wouldn't just fail to plant the bomb—he'd be crushed.
Star-Lord's eyes were fixed on the screen, desperate to find a way to turn the tide.
"I'm not controlling the arrow with my mind, kid!"
On screen, Yondu, buried under debris, shouted with effort at Star-Lord: "I'm using my heart… ah!"
Before he could finish, the dirt overwhelmed his voice.
It was enough.
Star-Lord was alerted.
He began to feel the power within—Ego's godly energy—and finally understood and mastered it.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
A force began spreading around Star-Lord. Blue light flickered across the surrounding land.
But the blue light came from Star-Lord, not Ego.
Star-Lord could now control Ego's power!
"You shouldn't have killed my mom and crushed my Walkman!"
Star-Lord roared at Ego, then launched himself forward.
He struck Ego midair.
The two clashed in a fierce aerial battle!
Star-Lord could control rocks and debris around him as weapons, freeing his buried allies while fighting Ego.
At this point, Star-Lord was essentially a god.
In this state, he was terrifyingly powerful.
"Haha! Yeah! Nice!"
Star-Lord laughed proudly. "In the critical moment, it's still me who has to save the day! See that?"
He looked at the others with a smug grin: "'A god's body is like a mortal's'? Nonsense! I am a god!"
Though his arrogance annoyed the others, no one objected—Star-Lord truly was godlike now.
"That's right. You were indeed a god," Thor said with disdain, shrugging. "But compared to me, you're still weak. Even Ego is weak."
Boom! Boom! Boom!
On screen, the two gods clashed, flying across land and sky relentlessly.
Meanwhile, Mini Groot reached Ego's brain and pressed the countdown button.
The bomb would explode in five minutes.
Retreat began.
Only Star-Lord remained entangled with Ego.
If the bomb went off in five minutes, Star-Lord and Ego would likely perish together.
At this moment, Yondu made a decision that surprised Star-Lord.
