Chapter 253 - Who’s Strong Enough to Blow Asgard to Pieces

The moment the first question appeared, the atmosphere in the answer space immediately grew tense.

Except for Scott Lang and T'Challa, all the participants were deeply shocked.

"Are you kidding me? Asgard… could actually be destroyed one day?"

And it wasn't just destroyed in some ordinary sense — the entire planet was reduced to dust, completely wiped from the universe!

How could such a thing even happen?

If it weren't for the answer system posing the question, no one would ever believe this.

"What?"

Thor was utterly dumbfounded, unable to believe his own eyes.

I, mighty Thor of Asgard, the godly realm that commands respect across the universe… could one day be blown to pieces?

This has to be a joke!

No matter what, Thor couldn't accept the scene.

But having participated in multiple rounds before, Thor knew that the answer system never made mistakes. After several seconds of shock, he slowly came to accept this horrifying fact.

"Thor, that's just another parallel world's Asgard. It's not your Asgard," Captain America's voice sounded, serious as he spoke to Thor.

"I know, Rogers. I'm fine." Thor slowly calmed down and couldn't help but sigh, "But that other Thor… his fate is just too tragic."

From the questions, everyone had learned that in that world, Thor's father was dead, his mother dead, his brother dead — his entire family wiped out, leaving only him.

Even Heimdall, the most loyal and close friend and comrade, was dead.

Even his own people had been slaughtered by Thanos.

It was already the worst possible ending.

And yet it didn't stop there: after losing everyone important to him, even his homeland was reduced to rubble!

Damn it!

Who did Thor even offend to deserve such a fate?

This is unbearably tragic.

"It's indeed tragic… so tragic it's hard to even look at," Tony Stark muttered, shaking his head in disbelief. "I swear, in my life I've never seen anyone suffer this badly."

Captain America and Strange also nodded in agreement.

As for Thor?

After the initial shock, he couldn't help but feel a deep sense of relief.

Luckily, he had been selected by the answer system.

Otherwise, such a horrifying tragedy might have fallen upon him.

"Asgard? Isn't that the place from myth and legend?"

Scott Lang's voice broke the silence, muttering in confusion. "So this answer system going to all this trouble is just asking us questions about myths? Didn't Cap say this system reveals the future?"

"So…" T'Challa spoke up, his face showing a mix of surprise and disbelief. "Myth and legend… are actually real?"

He then turned his gaze to Thor. Though his tone carried some uncertainty, it also conveyed recognition. "You… are the legendary Thor?"

Previously, Captain America had only had time to briefly introduce the basic rules of the answer space to the two newcomers, without introducing the other participants.

Other than Iron Man and Cap, the two newcomers didn't know anyone else.

But it had to be said, while both Scott and T'Challa were first-timers in the answer space, T'Challa's composure far surpassed Scott's.

Faced with such incredible circumstances, T'Challa remained calm, composed, and clear-headed throughout.

Being able to quickly sort out key points and follow the group's train of thought in such a short time — truly worthy of the Black Panther.

"This is impossible… this is insane!" Scott's eyes widened as he looked Thor up and down, shaking his head. "Legendary Thor? How is that even possible?"

"T'Challa, Scott Lang, it's a pleasure to meet you. I am Thor Odinson, from the godly realm of Asgard," Thor smiled, introducing himself to the two newcomers.

"Man, you really are Thor? The Thor from the myths?" Scott exclaimed repeatedly.

"Technically, I should also introduce myself, but it seems you already know me," T'Challa said calmly. "I guess… you recognized me through the answer system?"

"That's right, T'Challa," Tony Stark nodded. "You and Scott Lang have appeared in the answer system more than once, so yes, we know you."

"Since we've all been selected by the answer system, it seems we have something in common," T'Challa scanned the group. "Iron Man, Captain America, Thor — none of you are ordinary."

"To a certain extent, I'm not ordinary either. So can we conclude that everyone here isn't ordinary, and all of us have some… special abilities?"

"No, T'Challa, I'm just a normal guy!" Scott protested, shaking his head. "No, actually I'm worse than normal. I probably look terrible right now, don't I?"

"Cheap clothes, smelling like instant noodles, a face malnourished for years…" Strange nodded. "I'm Doctor Stephen Strange — you can call me Dr. Strange."

"Branded shoes, luxury watch, a doctor — a typical elite," Scott commented wryly. "I could have been like you, but… that was my choice. Everyone has a past they'd rather forget…"

Scott actually came from a strong background.

No matter what, he had a master's from MIT!

But later, to fight injustice for strangers, he hacked a company security system and exposed corrupt executives' bank records online.

That landed him in prison — five years straight.

Otherwise, Scott could have ended up an elite like Strange.

Afterwards, T'Challa and Scott formally greeted each other, and everyone became acquainted.

There was no more idle chatter.

They officially began answering questions.

"Everyone, remember that 'escape ship' from Asgard?" Captain America began. "It seems that was what happened after Asgard was destroyed."

Everyone nodded.

Previously, they speculated that the ship carried Asgardian families, even Heimdall was on it — it was most likely a rescue vessel.

Now, that speculation was confirmed.

"So can we rule out Thanos?" Strange pondered. "You said before, when Thanos boarded that ship to steal the Tesseract, he only had one Infinity Stone."

"And with only one stone, there's no way he could destroy all of Asgard, right?"

This wasn't an invasion of Asgard, but complete destruction — fundamentally different.

Everyone agreed with Strange's reasoning.

"Not just Thanos, I don't think Hela, the Goddess of Death, could do it either," Thor offered his judgment.

"And Surtur, the Fire Giant — his Eternal Flame is stored in Asgard's vault. Clearly, he can't do it either. The only one capable must be Infinity Ultron."

Infinity Ultron — they had speculated before that he might possess all six Infinity Stones.

With the power of six stones, wiping out half of the universe and destroying Asgard entirely wouldn't be impossible.

"Infinity Ultron, the guy with all six Infinity Stones?" Strange shrugged. "He could definitely have that kind of power."

"Six Infinity Stones is just our speculation," Captain America interjected. "We have no proof to support that."

"Even so, if Infinity Ultron can break multiversal barriers, that shows he has immense power!"

Tony Stark's eyes gleamed. "Whatever that power is, destroying Asgard is entirely possible."

"Stark has a point. We can't rule out the Infinity Ultron option," Strange agreed.

"Multiverse?"

T'Challa's expression showed surprise. "From your tone, the multiverse really exists! But… if such a system exists, a multiverse isn't that strange."

"Myths are real, the multiverse is real! Man, this is insane!" Scott exclaimed. "I've never seen anything this crazy in my life."

"Guys, calm down. You haven't even seen the crazier stuff yet," Tony Stark said, spreading his hands.

"From what it looks like, the other three options are impossible. Only Infinity Ultron remains plausible, so the answer is D?"

Thor was slightly surprised. "Isn't this question too simple?"

The difficulty of the answer system's questions varies, but something this straightforward was a first — basically free points.

"Everyone, our analysis is a bit rough. Let's carefully review to avoid any oversights," Captain America said after a pause.

Everyone agreed, and they started reviewing each option systematically.

"Hela, Goddess of Death, is indeed strong — she could crush Thor's hammer with her bare hands. But she was imprisoned by Odin for so many years. That shows her strength isn't greater than Odin's."

"Thor, could Odin's power destroy Asgard completely?" Tony asked, looking to Thor for confirmation.

"Even my father doesn't have that power," Thor shook his head. "We're talking about destroying Asgard down to dust!"

If that's the case, Hela can be ruled out.

Even Odin couldn't do it — so Hela, whom he could imprison, certainly couldn't.

"What about Thanos with just one Infinity Stone?"

Thor then looked at Thanos' option, shaking his head. "I don't think so either. We've seen Thanos with four or five stones in battle. One stone wouldn't give him this kind of power."

Four-stone Thanos, though powerful, could be challenged by the heroes — Stark even left a scar on his face!

Five-stone Thanos could overwhelm heroes, but Scarlet Witch could stop him with one hand, even while he was distracted destroying another stone.

Given this context, one-stone Thanos destroying Asgard is highly unlikely.

Thus, Thanos was ruled out without much debate.

"Surtur — we can rule him out, right?" Strange said matter-of-factly. "Remember the footage of Odin's death? Thor said he killed Surtur!"

That footage clearly showed Thor teleporting from Asgard to Earth to find Odin.

Meaning Surtur was killed, yet Asgard hadn't been destroyed!

Compared to Hela and Thanos, Surtur can be ruled out even more convincingly.

"Wait!" Thor suddenly reacted. Strange's reminder made him recall something. "Surtur can't truly be killed! As long as his crown exists, he can always revive — that's the source of his power!"

"Exactly, Strange. In that footage, Thor said 'end' not 'kill'. The two words have different meanings," Cap recalled carefully.

"For someone who can revive at will, what does it mean to truly 'end' them?"

T'Challa joined in. "I think Thor must have taken the crown."

"Yes, I must have taken the crown!" Thor nodded emphatically.

It made sense.

After killing Surtur, knowing the crown could revive him endlessly, leaving it would allow him to return. Naturally, Thor took it.
