Chapter 254 - Asgard Is Destined to Be Destroyed!

"So what happens after obtaining the crown?"

Tony Stark raised a sharp and critical question. "You wouldn't keep the crown in the treasure vault of Asgard, would you?"

"Of course not," Thor said matter-of-factly. "Asgard's vault exists precisely to store these things."

"So, you mean the crown and the Eternal Flame would be placed in the same location?"

Captain America's expression twitched as he keenly caught something. "Thor, I recall you saying that the Eternal Flame is Surtr's treasure, and the crown is the source of Surtr's power… what would happen if someone obtained both the crown and the Eternal Flame at the same time?"

"I don't really understand what you're talking about, but it sounds like something very bad would happen!" Scott Lang timidly added from the side.

In myth, fire giants were far less famous than figures like Thor or Odin. Their notoriety was minimal.

And that's not even considering Surtr's crown and the Eternal Flame.

Scott Lang had no idea what these two items actually were, but just hearing about them sounded impressive.

"If the crown is placed on the Eternal Flame, Surtr will be reborn," Thor explained to everyone.

He paused, then added, "No—not just reborn. Surtr's power would return to its peak state."

"Peak state? Thor, I recall you saying that even your grandfather couldn't defeat Surtr at his peak," Tony Stark interjected solemnly.

A giant who even Thor's grandfather couldn't defeat—could such a being destroy Asgard into dust?

Everyone thought this was possible.

But because of the limited information, a definite conclusion could not be drawn. All that could be done was speculation.

"It's not just legend," Strange now spoke up seriously. "After participating in the quiz, I researched related myths. You all must know of Ragnarök."

"In the legend of Ragnarök, Asgard will be destroyed by Surtr's hand. And as we learned in the previous round of questions, this isn't just a myth—it's an actual prophecy!"

In the footage related to Odin's death, Odin had told Thor that Ragnarök was imminent, but Thor said he had already defeated Surtr, thereby preventing Ragnarök.

What does this prove?

Ragnarök isn't merely a legend found in literary works; it's a prophecy that truly exists.

Hearing Strange say this, everyone refocused on this critical detail.

"Thor believed he ended Surtr and thus prevented Ragnarök, but Odin didn't see it that way," Captain America said thoughtfully. "Odin believed that Hela's arrival would bring about Ragnarök."

Everyone on the scene subtly stiffened. This information was extremely important—and the only clue they currently had to make a judgment.

"So… Odin meant that although Thor ended Surtr, he couldn't prevent Ragnarök from occurring. Ragnarök would be triggered by the death goddess Hela."

Tony Stark added firmly, "This is strong factual support!"

"Now consider that Asgard would simultaneously possess Surtr's crown and the Eternal Flame—the conditions for Surtr's rebirth would be fulfilled!"

"Everyone, I think the answer to this question is clear."

"Obviously, the answer is C—Fire Giant Surtr!"

"Although the fire giant was temporarily defeated by Thor, it seems that in the future, Hela will invade Asgard, release the fire giant, and initiate Ragnarök!"

Everyone looked at each other, and no one raised any objection.

Tony Stark's reasoning was logical and indisputable.

Moreover, the fire giant option was the only one supported by existing clues.

The other options were purely analytical with no solid evidence.

Even in pure speculation, Hela and Thanos were eliminated.

The only other possibility was Infinite Ultron.

But compared to the fire giant, Infinite Ultron was ultimately excluded.

"I choose C, Fire Giant Surtr!" Thor finally said without hesitation, speaking his answer to the large screen.

[Correct Answer!]

The system immediately provided feedback.

The answer was indeed C.

[Congratulations to quiz participant Thor Odinson! You have earned the skill 'Sky Dance Technique'!]

[Reward has been issued. Please check!]

Swish!

The skill was instantly bestowed upon Thor.

"This… this is the Sky Dance Technique? Haha, I didn't expect something this good! I thought it was some kind of performance or dance!"

Thor paused briefly, then couldn't help but laugh loudly.

His eyes squinted from the smile, clearly showing how pleased he was with the Sky Dance Technique.

"Isn't it supposed to be a dance performance?" Scott Lang asked, naturally assuming from the name that it was.

"Clearly, it's not," T'Challa said calmly, his eyes showing curiosity.

He genuinely wanted to know what kind of incredible skill the Sky Dance Technique was that could excite a god so much.

"Okay, Thor, can we skip the suspense? Do you really need us to say it out loud?"

Strange, being familiar with Thor after multiple rounds of the quiz, urged him.

"Yes, I want to hear you say it," Thor replied teasingly to Strange.

"I'm not going to say it," Strange said proudly, shrugging.

"Can I say I have zero interest in this Sky Dance Technique?"

Tony Stark, unconcerned, said, "Because whatever this skill is, I can always find a way to counter it."

This sounded arrogant, but those familiar with Tony Stark didn't see it as empty boasting.

He really had the ability to stand as a mortal among gods.

Captain America naturally said nothing—it wasn't his style.

Finally, Scott Lang eagerly asked, "Thor, can you show us this Sky Dance Technique? Let us see it?"

"Thor is fine—no need for 'mister'," Thor corrected Ant-Man, then grinned. "Since everyone wants to witness this powerful skill I just gained, I'll generously satisfy your curiosity."

Swish!

With that, Thor activated the Sky Dance Technique, rising directly into the air and hovering.

"Holy crap!" Scott Lang was shocked, pointing at Thor. "You're flying! You really are Thor! You're a god! God, nobody would believe this! I actually met a god! Can I… take a picture?"

He immediately pulled out his phone.

"Shit! The phone's dead?" Scott groaned in frustration. "I just fully charged it!"

"Lang, when the quiz started, time was stopped. All electronic devices are unusable," Captain America explained seriously.

"Wait… time stopped?" Scott repeated, stunned.

T'Challa's face also flashed with shock, but he quickly composed himself, checking his unique Wakandan high-tech "communication bead" and found it completely offline.

Looking back at Thor hovering in the air, T'Challa confirmed the unbelievable was real.

"Thor, the Sky Dance Technique—is it just levitation?" Strange asked, staring at Thor. "It can't be this exciting for you, right?"

"Levitation? Strange, watch carefully," Thor said smugly, activating the Sky Dance Technique and flying around everyone.

"So Thor can fly—real, genuine flight!" Tony Stark commented calmly.

Previously, Thor had no flight ability and needed his hammer, which was rigid and inflexible.

Now, Thor could fly freely like a bird.

Tony Stark added, "Why is this flying skill called Sky Dance Technique?"

"Because it's actually a type of kung fu!"

Thor landed gracefully and explained, "Like Lingbo Weibu, Dali Jin'gang Palm, or Sunflower Acupoint Hand—it's a type of martial art."

The quiz veterans were speechless. Martial art? This one was ridiculously overpowered!

"Kung fu? Chinese kung fu?" Scott Lang was astonished. "I thought all that was nonsense."

"I know what Chinese kung fu in this world is like, but this Sky Dance Technique comes from another world." Thor explained.

[Quiz complete. Starting answer explanation!]

The system's notification interrupted everyone's thoughts.

A corresponding video appeared on the large screen.

The first scene showed Thor with neat short hair, holding a spear, sitting confidently on Odin's supreme throne.

This one frame confirmed that Odin was indeed dead.

This took place after Odin's death. Otherwise, how could Thor sit on his father's throne?

The short hair also confirmed this—it was after the Sakaar events.

The sequence of events in time was clear.

Footsteps sounded—an imposing woman strode arrogantly before Thor.

It was Thor's beloved sister, death goddess Hela.

"It's Hela!" Strange exclaimed. "Stark's guess was right—she must have released Surtr."

Everyone agreed—there was no other villain involved.

"Sister!"

Thor called, staring at Hela approaching.

"You're still alive?" Hela asked, slightly surprised.

Clearly, they had fought before, and Thor had suffered a crushing defeat.

"You've redecorated nicely. I see new decorations," Thor said lightly, sarcastically.

The "decorations" were murals depicting Hela—unknown to the audience watching the screen.

"I'm not like Father, covering everything up," Hela said meaningfully.

The siblings exchanged a few words, and the air thickened with tension.

Hela raised her hands and her long hair, once flowing like a waterfall, coiled upward into antler-like shapes.

"This transformation is incredible," Thor thought.

"Enough, stand aside—that is my throne!" Hela commanded.

Thor stood, spear in hand, stepping toward her. "Father once told me, a wise ruler never initiates war."

"But he always prepares for it!" Hela replied.

Clearly, Odin had said something similar to Hela.

With that, the siblings charged at each other.
