Although the footage had ended, everyone watching the screen remained unsettled for a long time.
Even though it was just a recording, the visual impact, the psychological shock, felt entirely real.
Considering that the decision to destroy Asgard was such a difficult one—and that it was Asgard's own prince, Thor, who personally made it—the footage carried an even deeper sense of tragic grandeur.
"Godrealm Asgard… just… blew up like that? This is the Godrealm… though that few-hundred-meter-tall fire giant is indeed terrifying."
Scott Lang was the first to speak, again chattering away in awe. "But is this really the future that's about to happen? It's too tragic, isn't it?"
"Once you know it in advance, it's no longer the future," Black Panther, T'Challa, said calmly.
Knowing a possible future allows even a fool to make preparations to prevent it.
No matter what, the events in the footage could be changed—they wouldn't necessarily happen again.
So then, is it still really the "future"?
"Ragnarok could have been avoided. The reason it happened again was all because of the death goddess Hela," Thor said seriously. "I must stop Hela!"
There was no doubt about this: if the death goddess Hela survived, even without Surtur, Asgard would be doomed.
"By the way, Thor, when you returned to Asgard, did you inquire about Odin and Hela?" Strange couldn't help asking.
"Of course," Thor replied. "My father was completely honest with me, but we still have no suitable way to deal with Hela. My father is quite worried about it."
The reason was simple: Hela's strength was incomprehensibly powerful.
Even Thor, fully evolved and at his peak, was no match for her.
If Thor himself was so outmatched, what hope was there for the rest of Asgard?
"To eliminate Hela, we first need to ensure one thing: she must not appear in Asgard," Captain America said heavily.
Naturally—Asgard was the source of Hela's power. If she returned there, her strength would become limitless, growing stronger the longer she stayed.
The Hela in the footage was overwhelmingly powerful, clearly enhanced by being in Asgard.
Even outside Asgard, the death goddess Hela was an extremely formidable opponent.
The fact that she crushed Mjolnir bare-handed alone was proof enough.
"Why so serious all the time?"
Tony Stark finally spoke, a casual smile on his face. "Fine, Hela's powerful, but now we know all her details. What's so scary about her?"
"We know her location and how she'll appear in the future, and we understand her strength. That's enough!"
"From here on, we just need to deal with her in a targeted way."
"Everyone!" Thor said seriously, addressing the group of experienced Avengers. "Although I hate to admit it, I have to now: Hela is not someone I can handle alone. When the time comes, I'll need your help."
Neither Tony Stark nor Captain America hesitated—they agreed immediately.
Ever since joining as "contestants" in these exercises, Thor had participated in many operations with the others, forming a shared "community of interests."
He had contributed in countless missions that weren't even Asgardian matters, such as resisting Ronan or killing Ego.
Now Asgard was in trouble; Thor needed help, and of course no one would stand idly by.
"That's natural, Thor," Captain America said matter-of-factly. "After this round of questions, we can discuss it properly."
[Question: After Thanos collected six Infinity Stones in Wakanda, he was nearly killed. Who was responsible?]
A. Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff)B. Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers)C. Doctor Strange (Stephen Strange)D. Thor
[Friendly Reminder: Correct answers will gain the Ripple Qi skill; wrong answers will randomly lose one attribute, including but not limited to knowledge, experience, skills, or possessions.]
As everyone was discussing, the system's alert suddenly sounded, grabbing everyone's attention.
The group paused and looked at the large screen.
Scott and T'Challa were largely unaffected—they knew too little about the question to react.
But the veteran contestants couldn't hide their astonishment.
"Someone actually almost killed the 'Infinity Thanos'?" Strange exclaimed. That was Thanos with all six Infinity Stones! A snap of his fingers could wipe out half the universe, yet someone almost killed him?
How strong must that person have been?
Everyone instinctively scanned the options. Doctor Strange and Thor were skipped—their past defeats by Thanos were well known.
Attention naturally focused on Scarlet Witch and Captain Marvel.
One of them could resist five Stones while destroying the Mind Stone, while the other even confronted Thanos with all six Stones—an absurd level of strength.
If anyone could nearly kill Thanos after he had collected the Stones, it had to be one of these two.
"Looks like our guess was correct. Although Scarlet Witch destroyed the Mind Stone, Thanos still acquired the crucial Stone in Wakanda," Thor said seriously.
This meant Thanos could restore a destroyed Stone immediately—the destruction was useless.
"Thanos must have used the Time Stone," Tony Stark deduced. "Restoring the destroyed Mind Stone on the spot? Only reversing time could do that."
Everyone agreed.
"Alright, let's review the options," Captain America said solemnly.
First, they looked at option A.
"Um… excuse me, can I ask something? Who is Thanos? And what are the Infinity Stones?" Scott asked timidly.
Cap quickly explained, and both newcomers were astonished.
"We saw how Scarlet Witch destroyed the Mind Stone while resisting Thanos," Cap continued. "At that time, Thanos already had five Stones. So she was effectively resisting six Stones' power at once!"
Resisting five Stones while destroying the sixth—yes, six Stones.
"But that only shows she could resist, not that she could defeat them, right?" Strange carefully pointed out.
"Correct. Resisting is a prerequisite for victory. Only by resisting such power can victory even be possible," T'Challa added.
"But unfortunately, we don't know how likely that victory was," Thor shrugged. "We have no more footage of Scarlet Witch fighting Thanos."
"No, Thor, we don't need more footage. That segment alone is enough," Tony Stark said confidently.
Everyone turned to Tony, waiting for his explanation.
Tony continued: "As Cap said, Scarlet Witch resisted six Stones' power simultaneously. That alone explains something important."
"She knew what the Stones could do, yet still killed Vision and destroyed the Mind Stone. That was a painful decision for her."
"She had no choice!"
"By confronting all six Stones, she realized her limits—she could resist but not defeat Thanos with five Stones!"
"Otherwise, she wouldn't have had to sacrifice Vision."
"Makes sense! I don't fully understand what you mean, but yes," Scott said, nodding.
The others silently agreed with Tony's analysis.
Option A was eliminated without dispute.
"What about Captain Marvel? According to Tony, she was even stronger than Thanos with six Stones!"
Thor looked at option B. "Thanos even had to use the Power Stone to push Captain Marvel away."
If Scarlet Witch's strength was merely resisting six Stones, Captain Marvel's was at the level of defeating six Stones.
"Captain Marvel could have defeated Thanos, but she wasn't in Wakanda," Cap said firmly.
"Exactly. She joined the final battle only after Thanos had his head chopped off. She didn't participate in Wakanda," Strange added.
Thus, Captain Marvel was eliminated.
Now, the two most obvious options were gone, leaving two seemingly less likely ones.
"Doctor Strange fought Thanos with four Stones, traded blows, but was ultimately defeated," Cap summarized.
"Thor… whether it was Thanos or his minions, whoever struck shows Thor wasn't a match," Cap continued.
In the footage of Thanos killing Loki, it only showed Thor being knocked down, not by whom.
Two possibilities:
One, Thanos himself—obviously Thor isn't a match for a single-Stone Thanos.
Two, Thanos' minions—then Thor is even weaker in comparison.
"Rogers, you're overlooking something. How could I not be Thanos' match?" Thor protested. "I'm the God of Asgard, son of Odin! The answer is me—I nearly killed the six-Stone Thanos!"
"Thor makes a point, Captain Rogers. You are overlooking one thing," Strange agreed: "Time."
"When Thanos defeated Thor, he only had one Stone. My fight with Thanos on Titan may have happened with some time gap before Wakanda."
