Eugine turned to the young man by Alice's side.

He assessed the young figure.

He was the rumoured owner of the High Crest Hall, and not just that—but the son of one of the richest men on the continent.

But Caleb's status didn't faze him at all.

He drew closer to the desk, placing his hand on it and locking his fingers together.

"So, what offer do you have?" Eugine asked.

Caleb gave a light smile, sliding his hands into the pockets of his coat.

They looked tattered and old, with stains of blood from the fight.

But Eugine didn't even notice—or at least, he didn't care about that.

His office was highly secure. He was confident—or at least believed—that even if Caleb wanted to attack him, he would be riddled with bullet holes before he got to the desk.
