Chapter 154 - Was it okay?

When everything was over, Shinra went to Danzo's office as he read all the information, especially about Uchiha Itachi, Uchiha Madara, and many others who were related to Sharingan.

Mikoto might have brought many collections of the Uchiha Clan, but it didn't mean that it was complete, since she was just the former wife of the Uchiha Clan head, so it was impossible for her to access everything.

Then again, even as the clan head, Fugaku couldn't control the entire Uchiha Clan perfectly, showing his incompetence and weakness.

If Shinra was powerful before, awakening his Mangekyou Sharingan before the tragedy, he might be able to do something, but unfortunately, his ability was only awakened after the incident had happened, making him helpless and filled with regret.

Yet, once again, the Uchiha clan might be shitty, filled with many people who had mental disorders, but Shinra knew that everything was caused by the Sharingan, and the requirement for one to awaken the Sharingan was to feel an intense pain in their emotions.

Many normal people would have decided to commit suicide when such intense emotions hit them, yet the Uchiha Clan members were told to hold on and fight to give their everything, protecting their family, so Shinra knew well that even if they couldn't be said as good people, it was impossible to say that they were bad people, too since their wish was simple and that was to protect their family.

Originally, it was said that the Uchiha Clan was a merciless and cold-blooded clan, and the Senju Clan, which was the clan where the First Hokage originated, was a gentle and warm clan that cared about their family members.

Yet, in reality, the Senju Clan had all gone, leaving only their princess, Tsunade, as everyone probably died in the Wood Jutsu experiment. On the other hand, the Uchiha Clan might appear arrogant, cold, and even bloody, but it was just because they wanted to protect their family, so that way, they wouldn't lose anyone.

'It's ironic...'

Shinra sighed helplessly, wondering why the people of this clan were just weird, whether it was Itachi, Obito, or Madara.

All of them were simply nutjobs.

As for him?

Shinra felt that while he was just like any other conqueror or ruler, making him quite narcissistic, thinking that he could do better, yet despite his weakness, he had the ability. Naturally, while his method might not be perfect and in the process many might be killed or some might even be unhappy, but wasn't that how life was?

When one is at the top, someone should be at the bottom.

It might be unfair, especially for those who had no power, but Shinra had had enough of living as a ninja, who could only live in the dark, and he wanted to rise even higher, colonizing this world like he did in another world.

Knock! Knock!

"Come in."

"Shinra-sama."

"Have you transformed all of them, Nono?"

As Shinra read the documents, he asked that question without looking up at Nono, who had returned from her task to turn all of the members of the Roots into vampires.

"Yes." While Nono was surprised by her new ability, she did what Shirna was told and transformed all the members of the Roots except for Danzo, who was controlled by Kotoamatsukami by Shinra.

The ability to turn others into a vampire, as Shinra could do it, naturally, those who had been transformed by him could also do the same.

Still, while those whom he had transformed were able to do the same, the ability to turn others into vampires, this next generation of vampires wasn't as strong, and the improvement wasn't as much as the one that he did by himself.

So, in other words, if Shinra was the ancestor, Nono, and the remnants of the Doflamingo Pirates were the first generation, then the Root members were the second generation.

Naturally, as they were all connected to him, Shinra could control them, and if either of them tried to annoy him, he could erase them cleanly.

This was the price of their power, which made their lives under his control, yet wasn't it fair?

If one wanted to get something, they had to pay something, right?

Regardless, as he continued to read, he didn't notice Nono's reddened face, as she was still thinking about his suggestive advances as he licked her white nape before biting it softly, making her cry a sweet cry that made her wonder whether she was such a lewd woman.

All of her life had been spent as a spy, and she took care of the orphanage as no one took care of it, or loved those children, whose parents died due to the war. She gave her everything and thought of each of them as her children, and naturally, due to that, she never had any time for many other things, and with her reputation, what kind of man dared to get close to her?

Danzo was there too.

So, without a doubt, Shinra was the first man who had done something like that to her.

As she thought of his handsome face, moving closer, lightly licking her neck, then somehow led into a naughty exchange, Nono tried to throw away all of her dirty thoughts, yet despite so, under her nun-like outfit, her two nipples were all taut as her plump thighs squeezed tight, thinking of the possibility between the two.

"So... what should we do next?"

As Shinra had decided to make her his follower, Nono thought that he must have plans to do something.

Would he try to attack the Hokage and Konoha village?

When Nono thought about Shinra's strength, she felt that it was possible, yet without a doubt, many people would lose their lives, and the Konoha village would be even weaker. Yet, facing his strength, was there anyone in the village who could defeat him?

As she thought of Sarutobi, the God of Shinobi, or the strongest Hokage, Nono wanted to let out a helpless sigh.

"Help me to collect all the information on markets, from food, minerals, weapons, clothing, population, gangs, connections with the nobles, and the number of transactions...."

Since Shinra had gotten all the Roots for himself, naturally, he wouldn't waste them, but then, he looked up and saw that Nono was stunned in a daze. "What's wrong? Are you not making notes? Have you remembered all of them?"

"Ah, um, wait a moment! I will make notes!"

Nono wasn't stupid, but even so, everything that Shinra had asked her to look up made her speechless, yet she didn't question him.

"What's wrong? If you have a question, then ask."

"...is that fine?"

"It isn't wrong to ask since I want you to do this job perfectly."

"I see..." Nono thought that Shinra was really different, but even so—

"...what's the purpose of looking at all of that?"

"Making money."

"...making money?"

"Yes."

"...." Nono.

"There are many things that I want to do, and they need money. Money from commissions isn't enough, so let's just get all the money for ourselves."

Information is wealth.

As long as one controls information, one could get a lot of money.

Shinra, who had the Roots under him, naturally wouldn't waste these resources, and wanted to control the market of the Land of Fire directly, controlling the economy of this land!

Still, he knew that with the numbers of the Roots, it was a tough job, so he needed more people.

"Danzo, for Konoha, gathers more people for the Roots! Get them from all the families except your clan, the two other elders, and the Hokage."

"Yes, everything is for Konoha."

As Danzo made a nod, he brought several people with him to invite more ninjas to become members of the Roots.

Only Nono, who had written all of Shinra's requests, wondered inwardly.

Was it okay?

"Also, Danzo, for the ninjas of Hyuga, don't take the one that has the Caged Bird Cursed Mark!"

"Yes, Shinra-sama!"

"...." Nono.
