While Shinra hated Danzo so much that he wished to kill him, he also felt that it was a shame to kill him right away, especially when he knew that there were many things that Danzo could do.
Like how Sarutobi was reluctant to kill Danzo since, as a saint in the eyes of the public, there were many things that he couldn't do by himself, and he had to always be on the side of the righteous when he tried to do something, so whenever he wanted to do dirty work, Danzo would take care of it, which kept his image perfectly and if there was a problem, Danzo could also take the blame.
Without a doubt, Danzo was the best tool for Sarutobi, and as Sarutobi could do that, Shinra felt that he could use Danzo, too, as it wouldn't be too late to take Danzo's life when Danzo lost all of his values.
As the darkness of Konoha Village, Danzo had many secrets within this village that were impossible to know by the public, and those informations were important, Shinra thought.
More importantly, Shinra could gain much information that he wanted from Danzo, secret connections, and many other things that he needed.
Yes, like how he worked directly under Shion Seiryuin in the world of Kengan, or how he worked under the World Government in the world of One Piece; instead of building everything from zero, which was troublesome, as he had to make his connections, trusts, and many others, it was better for him to use others, so he had no need to start from zero.
Just as starting a business can be challenging without connections, information, money, and other essential resources, it will also be hard for them to maintain their business or even keep it going, right?
While Shinra's career in the world of Naruto made him know several merchants in the Konoha Village and the Land of Fire, they were nothing but merchants, and merchants were at the lowest of the hierarchy within the country, as the setting of the world of Naruto still maintained a feudalism concept.
Well, he also knew some nobles, but his knowledge was limited to some area of the Land of Fire, and as all the Uchiha clan members died, killed, and Shinra also ran away to another world, he knew that he had to start from zero again, which was troublesome as it wasn't easy to build a group of trained employees, or followers.
Even many elite companies would give several months of training to their new employees, to make them loyal, consuming much time and budget for their future workers.
However, as Shinra didn't have time, it was better for him to take control over a group that existed, and he felt that the Root wasn't a bad follower, especially when they were all loyal and wouldn't hesitate to give their lives. They also had some curses on their tongues, which made them easy to control as they would die if they didn't follow the rules.
Sometimes, the power of an individual wasn't enough, even God in the Bible had angels to support him, or the kings of the Gods, such as Zeus, Odin, and many others, also had their own followers.
Regardless, as Danzo had been controlled by him, Shinra should move to the next plan, but before that, he looked at Nono, who didn't even move from her spot, then smiled. "You're going to attack me, Dean?"
"No."
"Do you think I won't kill you?"
"You have a reason to do this and..." Nono Yakushi looked at all the members of the Roots calmly, including Danzo, who had been controlled by Shinra with Kotoamatsukami, and said, "With what they have done, they deserve it."
What Danzo had done was all evil things, and something that shouldn't be exposed as it would definitely damage the positive image of Konoha Village, even though, as a ninja, it wasn't normal for them to do dirty work.
Yet, the members of the Roots might be brainwashed by Danzo, but even so, Nono didn't feel sorry for them, as this was the life of a ninja.
"But I am glad that you are okay, Shinra-kun."
Nono smiled softly as she looked at Shinra. The two had known each other for so long, since Shinra often donated the money from his business to the orphanage in Konoha Village to make his image better.
"How was the orphanage after I stopped my donation?"
Still, after the Nine-Tails incident, Shinra no longer donated his money; all his wealth was taken by the family as compensation for everyone who was hurt by the incident, even though the Uchiha weren't responsible for this incident at all.
"It just returned to how it used to be." Nono showed a helpless smile as she looked at the bright moon in the night sky. "I wonder why the village is like this..."
Shinra only smiled and said, "It's amazing that you can have such an expectation toward the village."
"...it can't be helped, right? After all, who can we rely on except for Konoha?"
If they left Konoha Village, their lives would be miserable as they would be labeled as criminals, who would be hunted by the village.
Moreover, with the mindset of the ninja, Shinra could imagine that they would think that it was hard to get commissions for money except for those low-ranking criminals, gangs, or bandits, who weren't worth being mentioned in the story.
"But you are different." Nono looked at Shinra with a smile and said, "You must have something that you want to do here, right? You can kill me, but please take care of the orphanage, okay?"
Even if Shinra's purpose in donating to the orphanage wasn't pure, it was still far better than those who didn't give donations at all, as the lives of those without parents, and those who weren't supported, could die at any moment.
Nono wasn't sure what Shinra was planning to do, but she knew that he would silence her.
Running away?
When she saw how easily Shinra decimated all the members of Roots, including Danzo, who had the ability of Mokuton, Wood Jutsu owned by the First Hokage, and several Sharingan on his arm, it was impossible for Nono to leave.
Moreover, whenever Shinra moved, his speed was just so fast that she couldn't even follow him with her eyes.
How could she even think that there was a possibility that she would run away?
Everything that had happened in this place had to be kept as a secret, and the best way was to kill her.
"Don't worry. I won't kill you."
"Really?"
Hearing his words, Nono looked at Shinra in surprise, then saw him move toward her as she quickly realized his growth.
They had known each other for so long, and naturally, she had seen him when he was still a little snotty boy. Even if he wasn't a ninja, he was a genius at making money and also had many relationships with many wealthy people.
Compared to the Hokage, many of the children in the orphanage wanted to work under Shinra more since their lives were more stable.
Unfortunately, he died during the Uchiha massacre incident, but unexpectedly, he didn't die and returned to Konoha once again.
Nono wasn't sure what Shinra planned to do, but she knew well that, just as Danzo treated her like a tool, Shinra would also treat her like a tool.
Yet, compared to Danzo, who treated his tool roughly, saying that he wouldn't care even if he broke it, Shinra was more delicate with his tool, treating it carefully till it could no longer be used before being discarded or replaced by him.
Still, as long as they were useful, Nono knew that Shinra wouldn't treat her badly and even took care of the orphanage like before. When she thought of the smile of the children that day, and after he was gone, she didn't mind.
"Yup, but be useful to me, okay?"
Feeling his large palm on her cheek as he caressed her softly, Nono's face reddened, but she didn't move away, then watched his fangs grew longer as he moved closer, licking her smooth nape, causing her body to shiver in a strange sensation, but despite her confusion, she didn't do anything and didn't even tried to fight him until she felt his fangs bit deep into her nape as she leaked out lewd cry before two demonic wings grew out from her smooth back under her nun outfit.
Yup, Shinra had turned Nono into his vampire.
