Kai lifted his head, then sighed. 'Damn outers, I thought they had finally gone silent for good.'
"What happened?" Neko-sensei asked him, leaning over to sit beside him on the floor.
Kai glanced at his mentor, then looked down, his hair veiling his eyes. "Nothing, just some annoying pieces of..." Kai paused midway, then sighed again.
"Before I forget, I wanted to ask you something."
Neko-sensei raised a brow. "What's that?"
Kai hesitated for a moment. "If what you said about the shift in powers is true, then why do you still use the old terms when teaching and speaking?"
