As the door to Ember's room slammed behind Serpentine, she felt her heart drop straight to her stomach.
It was beginning to be really hard to tell whether she was doing the right thing or the wrong thing. Whether she was on the right path or on the wrong path.
Just how much protection could she offer Ember? And until when till everything blew up.
With more information in her grasp, she walked to her drawing room, straight to the balcony where Asborne was waiting for her.
"It's happening again." She muttered in a low voice, her fists clenched to her sides.
It had been rather, nothing short of shocking when Ember told her that the reason why the Seventh High Lord saved her was because her blood had been used to forge the weapon that murdered Alaric BlueBlood.
Shocking because something similar had happened with herself decades ago.
