Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 - I Am Officially A Student Of Golden Dragon Academy!

Although Director Zheng said that everything else had been taken care of, Fang Ruoye did not want to take any chances. She brought with her all the necessary paperwork, just in case Jiang Cheng forgot to submit a document.

It all proved to be useless because the only reason for Fang Ruoye and Luo Xianxian's visit to the academy was to join a private tour, personally arranged by Director Zheng.

For this purpose, Fang Ruoye and Luo Xianxian were accompanied by Luo Xianxian's future homeroom teacher, Teacher Wu.

First of all, Teacher Wu showed them around the academy, starting from the kindergarten level to the senior high level.

"Our students usually enter the academy at a very young age," she explained with a kind smile. "We regret not being able to invite Xianxian into the academy earlier. What a pity."

Fang Ruoye felt a slight pang of regret in her heart. Why didn't she divorce Luo Yanming earlier? What a great loss!

Beyond academic excellence, the Golden Dragon Academy was committed to fostering well-rounded students by encouraging participation in sports and extracurricular activities, striving to cultivate each child's unique talents alongside their intellectual growth.

Consequently, the academy boasted diverse sporting facilities, multiple music rooms, and actively promoted the establishment of clubs to cultivate camaraderie among students with shared interests.

"Does Xianxian have any hobbies?" Teacher Wu asked Luo Xianxian when they were relaxing in the academy's open-air canteen.

"Yes, Teacher, I like to draw."

"Perfect. We have a drawing club for the elementary school level. Would you be interested in joining?"

Needless to say, that was all Luo Xianxian could speak of the rest of the day.

Luo Xianxian might be a little disappointed because she could not study with her friends from kindergarten, but Fang Ruoye maintained close relationships with her friends' parents. They agreed to conduct playdates from time to time, so the children could cultivate their friendship beyond the confines of an educational institution.

Having secured a spot for Luo Xianxian in the Golden Dragon Academy, Fang Ruoye could not help but think about Bai Liuxian and his son. The man was kind enough to offer her a solution, however unconventional and awkward.

Most people were not as lucky as Fang Ruoye. Fang Ruoye was certain that many single parents chose this route to give their children the best start at a good school, even if they had to resort to fake marriage to pass through the school's strict requirements.

Before she knew it, she was back at Director Zheng's office with a query.

"Director Zheng, I understand that Xianxian received three reference letters for her admission."

"That is correct."

"I understand that a child only needs one reference letter. Is it possible to have another child enter the academy at the elementary school level as well?"

Director Zheng did not immediately answer.

Fang Ruoye could sense heat creeping up her cheeks. Was she being presumptuous?

Director Zheng cleared his throat and then said, "Well, we adhere to the school's rules and regulations. If either one of the reference providers would like to change the name of the child they recommend, naturally, we will not overlook the possibility of admitting the other child."

Fang Ruoye lit up in excitement.

"Is that so? Well then, let me see what I can do."

Thankfully, she still kept Bai Liuxian's name card in her purse.

Fang Ruoye stepped into the school's garden to make a phone call. It took quite a long time before the man in question finally picked up the call.

"Yes, who is this?" Bai Liuxian asked the moment the call connected.

"Good afternoon, I am Fang Ruoye. We met at Blooming Peony Elementary School yesterday, if you still remember me."

An embarrassing silence followed, and then Bai Liuxian slowly said, "Ah. Yes, of course. Good afternoon to you, too, Miss Fang."

"I am calling to inform you that I have found a good school for my daughter. If you are willing, I can try to get your son a spot in the same school. Would you be interested?"

Unseen by Fang Ruoye, a curtain on the second floor, overlooking the garden, was pulled aside. A man draped in a white coat spoke into his phone, his gaze fixed on her.

"That is very kind of you, Miss Fang, but I, too, have found a spot for my son."

"Oh."

Fang Ruoye did not know why, but she was a little disappointed.

She was so naive.

Why would she think that Bai Liuxian was waiting for her phone call? He had probably made the same proposition to another single mother who got rejected at Blooming Peony Elementary School.

"Oh, in that case... congratulations to you and your son."

A corner of Bai Liuxian's lips ticked upward in amusement as he observed Fang Ruoye's flustered facial expression.

"Congratulations to you and your daughter as well, Miss Fang."
