Synopsis
Danielle suddenly found herself in the body of a heartless woman. In front of her stood a sad man and a helpless child, and she couldn’t believe what was happening. This was Earth but more than a thousand years in the future. The sky was gray, monsters roamed everywhere, and people survived on awful-tasting nutrition drinks. Real food like fruits and vegetables? Way too expensive. Danielle looked at the disgusting drink in her hand and shivered. No way. She was going to earn money, eat real food, and take care of the child. Then she looked at the man tall, strong, with a deep, quiet presence. Danielle smiled. If the original owner didn’t want him… well, she’d gladly take over.

Chapter 1 - .1

"Who are you?"

"I'm Danielle."

"No, you're not! You are our hope! Come back, come back, we need you!"

The cold voice suddenly turned into a painful cry. Danielle was so frightened that she instantly sat up in bed.

She looked around in fear. The bright moonlight shone through the window into the small room.

There was nothing strange in the room. Holding her chest, Danielle took deep breaths to calm down.

It was that dream again. She frowned slightly — it was happening more and more often lately.

Her head hurt.

Rubbing her temples, Danielle got out of bed to get a glass of water. But that eerie voice, unclear whether it was male or female, sounded again.

"Danielle, it's time to come back. Come back—come back—"

Clang.

Danielle watched in shock as her body moved on its own, the glass fell and shattered on the ground.

Her pale hand picked up a fruit knife nearby and stabbed it straight into her chest...

Crazy.

She was really going crazy.

Danielle wanted to grab her phone and call 120, but her body wouldn't move. She could only lie on the floor as blood spread everywhere...

"Mom, Mom, wake up! Rain will be good, Rain won't make you angry anymore, Mom—"

Danielle felt someone shaking her. Had someone finally found her?

"Mom—Mom—"

The childish cries made Danielle frown. Strange. Was she in a hospital room now?

How annoying. Whose kid was crying so loudly?

She opened her eyes in frustration, ready to scold, but when she saw the silver-white ceiling, she froze.

"Mom is awake! Dad, look, Mom is awake!"

Danielle's neck moved stiffly as she turned to look at the little child who spoke.

At the same time, strange memories suddenly flooded her mind.

She had... time-traveled.

She had traveled over a thousand years into the future — a place where nuclear waste and endless disasters had destroyed civilization. Now, it was a new nation called the Pure Land of Bliss.

"Danielle, since your family kicked you out, don't bother the Savior Girl again. Next time, I won't save you."

A cold-looking man said this, holding a thin, weak child in his arms. Without looking back, he walked out.

Danielle???

No, that wasn't her.

She wanted to explain, but didn't know how. After all, time travel was too unbelievable. And the original person—

Thinking of the original Danielle's ridiculous behavior, she didn't know what to say.

In this Pure Land of Bliss, there were more men than women, so women had higher social status. The original Danielle had gotten drunk, taken advantage of a man, and had a child with him.

Later, she even tried to steal another man from her sister, the Savior Girl, and was beaten to death. Unbelievable.

Now that Danielle had ended up in such a messy situation, she felt a headache coming on.

Still, from all the novels she had read, she figured she probably couldn't go back.

Fine. Better figure out how to survive here.

Danielle calmed herself and looked around. The whole room was made from a strange white material. It looked cold and a bit creepy.

She reached out and touched it.

Nothing special.

The bed and all the furniture were made from that same white material. It looked... weird.

Clack.

The door was pushed open without warning again. A man came in, expressionless, and put a bottle of blue liquid on the table.

"This is all we have. Drink it."

Then he left like the wind.

His name was Zachary. He had a buzz cut, deep eyes, and a sharp face — very handsome, with a wild, rugged vibe.

He wore white clothes, looking just like the white building materials around him.

Broad shoulders, narrow waist, long legs, and strong muscles slightly showing — he looked powerful.

What a shame.

Danielle smacked her lips. Such a good man had been wasted by the original Danielle.

She sighed and picked up the blue liquid and drank it.

According to her memories, this was the main type of food now — basically, it was like a nutritional drink.

Pfft.

The liquid had just entered her mouth when Danielle couldn't help but spit it out.

It tasted terrible.

Not sweet, not salty, not bitter—just a strange mix of everything.

Her hand shook, and she accidentally dropped the whole bottle on the floor.

Bang.

Crash.

The door slammed open. Zachary stood there, holding their son, Rain, looking furious.

Danielle could hear him grinding his teeth. Before she could explain, Zachary angrily spoke.

"Danielle, do you still think you're some rich lady?"

"Do you even realize that was the only bottle of nutrient drink we had? Rain wanted it and I didn't give it to him—but you just threw it away!"

Danielle nervously explained, "I… I didn't mean to, but it tasted so bad."

That made things worse.

Zachary's anger only grew. "Yeah, of course. You're used to your rich lifestyle, how could you stand what us poor folks eat?"

"If I ever give you nutrient drink again, I'm a dog."

Rain looked at Danielle with teary eyes, his little face full of sadness.

Danielle knew no explanation would help. She lowered her head.

"I'm sorry. It was my fault. I won't do it again."

Zachary regretted yelling the moment he finished, expecting Danielle to start yelling or hitting again. But instead, she stayed calm.

He froze in surprise, then took two cautious steps back.

"Danielle, what are you planning now?"

"I…"

Danielle felt wronged. "I'm not planning anything."

"Hmph. Let me tell you, I spent the last of my money on that bottle. I'm broke."

"And don't even think about Rain—I won't let you sell him."

Sell her son?

Danielle was completely shocked. The original her must have been terrible.

"You've misunderstood me. I would never sell Rain. I just…"

"Save it. If you want to leave, I won't stop you. Go ahead."

Zachary stepped aside with Rain in his arms. Danielle was confused.

He was kicking her out?

She didn't even know this place well—where could she go?

She thought for a moment, then got out of bed.

Seeing this, Zachary's eyes showed a mix of anger and sadness.

So it's true—this woman's heart couldn't be warmed.

Fine. Let her go. He would raise Rain by himself.

Rain couldn't hold back his sobs anymore. He looked at Danielle with pleading eyes but didn't dare reach for her.

Danielle sighed, stopped beside them, and stretched out her arms.

"Come here, let Mommy hold you. Don't worry, Mommy's not leaving."

Zachary's eyes widened with shock.

She had never been this gentle with them. If the rules of the Pureland didn't forbid abandoning children, she probably wouldn't have even looked at them.

But now, Danielle was smiling gently. Her face was still pale, but there was undeniable warmth in her expression.

"I mean it. I won't leave Rain again."

Zachary instinctively held Rain tighter, but the boy was already throwing himself into Danielle's arms.

"Mommy! Mommy! I want Mommy!"

Zachary felt a sharp pain in his heart and, though reluctant, handed Rain to Danielle.

Even then, he kept a close watch, ready to stop her if she tried to hurt the boy.

Danielle ignored Zachary's suspicious gaze and gently took Rain into her arms.

As she lifted him, his sleeve slid up slightly—Danielle's eyes froze.
