After some discussion, everyone quickly agreed on the plan.
Wang Dong would provide the plane coordinates, manage the goblin captives, and search for potential buyers. In short, aside from delivering the prisoners, the rest of the logistics would be left entirely in his hands.
Before long, a portal was opened, and all the goblin captives were transported to a desolate fragment of a plane.
With the prisoner issue settled, the next matter at hand was dividing the spoils.
If this had been a typical goblin tribe, there would have been nothing to loot. Goblins are notoriously lazy, unable to farm or mine, and rarely stockpile resources. But the goblins on this plane were clearly different.
There was a higher authority above them. Under the strict control of the kobold tribe, these goblins had no choice but to work hard.
As a result, the group plundered a substantial hoard from the goblin camp. Crystals, blood flowers, and magic grass were among the most abundant finds—basic yet essential resources.
Once the system automatically distributed the loot based on each participant's contribution, no one rushed off to assault the other two enemy factions. Instead, they set up camp and chose to rest.
Although the battle hadn't lasted long and had gone relatively smoothly, the sheer number of goblins had taken a toll. The troops were clearly exhausted, and many had sustained injuries that required attention.
Fortunately, both Lin Ye's Light Priests and Zhang Kexin's Elf Priests possessed healing abilities.
Their timely intervention saved the coalition a significant amount of divine resources.
It was worth noting, however, that Lin Ye's Light Priests were unable to heal Su Xingyu's soldiers. The healing process of Light Priests relied on light-element magic to stimulate cell regeneration. But Su Xingyu's troops, blessed by darkness and already attuned to it, were saturated with dark energy.
When the two opposite forces collided, healing was out of the question. In fact, it was a miracle if the wounded didn't end up worse off.
That left only one reliable alternative—the Elf Priests.
Elf Priests drew on pure life energy. As long as the recipient wasn't undead, they could heal almost any injury. Compared to brute-forcing recovery with divine power, this method was gentler, safer, and much more efficient.
Night fell.
A simple campfire flickered as the group gathered around a map of the explored terrain, strategizing their next move.
"A gnoll tribe with a population of 300,000 could easily muster hundreds of thousands of warriors. And those swamp murlocs… there may be fewer of them, but the swamp terrain gives them a natural advantage. Both enemies will be tricky," Fang Xingchen said with a furrowed brow.
Although he had discovered the plane fragment, he hadn't fully explored it before. The sheer scale of the enemy forces had taken him by surprise.
In truth, any one of the three tribes—the goblins, the gnolls, and the murlocs—had the strength to dominate an entire plane fragment on their own.
Fang Xingchen had previously explored two other fragments, and the threats he had encountered there were weaker than what they were facing now.
Ironically, today's battle had been the easiest of his entire career as a plane explorer.
No drawn-out tactics. No back-and-forth maneuvering. Just a straight-up steamroll.
So this is what it feels like to fight under the command of true power. What a thrill.
"I'm not very familiar with gnolls. If either of you knows anything, it'd be helpful to share. I'd rather not stumble into a trap in the next engagement," Lin Ye said, looking at Mo Kongwu and Su Xingyu. One was an orc god, the other commanded gnolls. They had to know more than he did.
"I do have gnolls under my command," Mo Kongwu said slowly, glancing at Su Xingyu. "But I suspect that my gnolls and Brother Xingyu's gnolls aren't the same species. The difference in power is massive."
As a god of orcs, Mo Kongwu naturally had gnoll tribes within his territory. But those gnolls were fairly average.
"Normal gnolls aren't very strong," he continued. "They're not even as good as my pigmen. If these gnolls are anything like mine, my tauren warriors can charge in and crush them. You'd barely need to lift a finger."
He paused, his expression turning grim. "But if they're like Brother Xingyu's gnolls, then I suggest we withdraw. Come back when we're stronger."
If they had to face hundreds of crazed gnoll warriors like Su Xingyu's elite troops, the gods' coalition might still secure victory—but the price in blood would be unbearable.
Everyone did the math in their heads. Their expressions darkened.
Seeing their concern, Su Xingyu quickly clarified, "Relax. My gnoll warriors are unique. They've been specially enhanced to match my attributes. The gnolls here won't be that strong. We can treat them as standard gnolls and plan accordingly."
He wasn't exaggerating. His gnolls had been strengthened three separate times—first by the dark elements in the Dark Valley, then by the blessing of a dark god, and finally by the power of a rule tool.
No matter how gifted the local gnolls were, they couldn't possibly measure up.
"That's a relief."
Everyone let out a collective breath.
"In that case, if no one objects, I suggest we take the Jackal Tribe first," Lin Ye said with a smile. "They're just regular gnolls. Let's sweep through them the same way we did today."
"Agreed."
"No objections."
"Sounds good to me."
Everyone nodded in agreement.
After a moment's hesitation, Su Xingyu spoke again. "The jackals may be stronger than today's goblins, and as orcs, they'll put up a much fiercer fight. Our losses might not be insignificant."
"What are you suggesting?" asked Lin Ye.
"We try a decapitation strike. Hit their leaders fast and hard, and then persuade the rest to surrender. I already have gnolls under my command. If we can scare them badly enough, there's a good chance they'll submit."
Su Xingyu looked around and added, "If they surrender, I'd like to take them under my command. You can have all the resources from the jackal and murloc tribes—I won't claim a share."
In previous expeditions, Su Xingyu had encountered other gnoll tribes, but they were small, maybe seventy to eighty thousand strong. Fewer still were capable of becoming elite warriors.
So when he discovered this massive gnoll tribe, the idea of conquest had burned in his mind.
"If you agree to let me have them, I'll have my forces lead the charge."
"You're sure about this?" Mo Kongwu asked, frowning.
"Don't worry," Su Xingyu replied with confidence.
"Fine by me. You've got a deal."
"I agree."
"Same here."
"Alright then."
The alliance had reached a new understanding, and another battle loomed on the horizon.
