Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Perspective Pace Tory

Hello to you who are reading this whoever you are after what happened I decided to start keeping a record of what happened major events and the perspectives of the main people in those events. If you are reading this and no-one gave this to you then I am dead we are all dead or worse.

You must be wondering what exactly happened okay I'll tell you my name is Pace Tory my friends call me Pastry and I along with my class our teacher and the driver of the bus have landed in another world. We don't exactly know how one minute we were driving on the road I was just chatting with my friend Max and then we weren't on the road. At first we thought we just went onto some harder road this was a school trip that everyone was surprised was so far away so no-one questioned it immediately. It was only when the bus just came to a dead stop it happened.

"What was that why did we just stop out of the blue?" Asked Maximillian my best friend.

"Uh Max your gonna want to look out the window buddy." Pace said.

"What. Is. That?!" Maximillian Yelled in shock.

"It looks like... well it looks like a dead dragon." Pace said.

"Oh so we both went crazy good I was afraid we had just been driven into another world or something!" Maximillian yelled very emotionally charged.

"Calm down panic will get us no were we need to think less about pointless questions and look around for a safe place to hide if the bus fails us which it probably will." Pace said clearly shaking but somehow he sounded calmer than he had ever been.

"Right look around wait... IS EVERYONE OKAY!" Maximillian yelled as loud as he could.

Some people said yes others just nodded the teacher and driver in particular seemed to have been shaken out of their shock by the loud noise.

"Yes of course thank you Max now everyone I know this isn't exactly a normal emergency but let's all stay calm I'll take attendance make sure everyone is still here and we will plan from their." Said the teacher Vittoria Agatino.

"Okay that's good everyone is still here and largely okay very good considering." Said the teacher Vittoria Agatino.

"Miss Agatino I would recommend we leave the bus and go to the cave over their we are sitting ducks in this thing." Said Pace.

"Absolutely not!" said the teacher Vittoria Agatino.

"Look I get this is a lot but is it so illogical to assume that creatures from here can tear through the bus like paper considering we already had all logic go out the conventional window because of the massive dragon!" At first it was a calm conversation but as he continued it got very loud.

"He's right we can't rely on a lot of our old logic it all falls apart especially considering that you know that is definitely a dragon." Said Maximillian. It was moments like these I was glad Max was my best friend.

"I don't care it's my job to take care of you and make sure your safe so we stay here!" Miss Vittoria Agatino screamed voice shrill even compared to a teen girl let alone a full grown women like herself.

"As much as I respect your dedication to your job at the end of the day Pastry is right we need to get to something or somewhere that doesn't stick out like a soar thumb." Maximillian said.

"Thanks Max I'm glad you agree I mean the safest place is in something like a cave that won't stick out like a soar thumb like this bus does we have to go while we can see if something might come after us." Pace said.

"I...Well I suppose your right it would be best to wait in a cave their is no way we would be lucky enough for us to somehow be summoned out of this situation." Miss Vittoria Agatino said.

"Thank you." Said Maximillian. I then sat down as well.

"Okay everyone I'll be at the back and the bus driver will be up front so we can be sure everyone makes it." Said Miss Vittoria Agatino.

Everyone then just sort of nodded and followed no-one had the mind to say no or argue this all pointlessly they had all turned into very obedient people for this one instant. It was honestly very impressive and to put it all in the open I was very impressed at how so many had managed to get their stuff together to survive. So after that we all got our stuff from the bus and made a run for it to the nearest cave. It was a large cave with a huge entrance it was probably that dead dragons nest which is a nice break. Regardless those ten minutes it took to run all the way into the cave were the longest and most stressful of my life I felt like any second a beast could come and grab me. To be honest those ten minutes haunt me no-one died because of the run but if someone had this would have been even worse. It was after a few hours and everyone started preparing to sleep that I started writing we all agreed it was for the best to decide to choose things for hunting in the morning. After all only waking up after sleep would be enough to convince most of them this was real and it was for the best just to help everyone keep calm.

That run I don't think in my whole life not even once was I so afraid it was hell everyone was really giving it all in that wild dash. It wasn't a run it was I don't know what it was instincts I suppose but regardless it was the worse thing I've been through which is probably not saying much in this situation. Honestly somewhere deep in my chest I feel like maybe just maybe if we all work together we might have a chance if not we are definitely screwed. This is still just the beginning compared to what's going to happen I wouldn't be surprised is something way worse happened tomorrow or in the future. I honestly hate that idea that soon we will all think about that run less like hell but more like the calm before the storm.

Perspective Maximillian Titanius

To be fully honest when Pastry asked me to write this down I honestly thought it was stupid but after well writing this I see how it can help organise your thoughts. To be honest I hated those ten minutes just as much as everyone else but I was always the most physically gifted in the class. Either way I was so scared and I freaked out when I saw the dragon but after Pastry pointed out the situation I guess the adrenaline kicked in and I looked around. I saw the cave and I figured it was the nest for the dragon so it was probably large enough for everyone and pointed it out to Pastry. I know the only person to read this will probably be everyone who writes in this but it helps a few seem to be writing their own but I got a feeling eventually ours will be the main one.

Regardless when we all wake up after the night passes that's when the nightmare really begins because no-one will be able to ignore reality anymore.

"Pastry..." said Maximillian.

"Yeah Max." Said Pace.

"Are we gonna be okay?" asked Maximillian.

"Probably not." Answered Pace.

"Seriously what the hell man you can at least bother to pretend to lie you psycho what is wrong with you!?" Yelled Maximillian questioning how he had never believed Pastry was anything but a real jerk.

"But seriously what are our odds here?" Maximillian asked.

"I honestly have no idea but no matter what I know at the end of the day I got plans for tomorrow and if they go well our odds improve." Pace said.

"What might those plans be?" Maximillian asked.

"Don't want to get your hopes up just an experiment to see if we have a chance to use magic." Pace said.

"I see no wonder that would probably be better tomorrow just considering all that happened today." Maximillian said.

"We'll be fine probably let's find out." Pace said.

After that chat with Pastry I just sat their gave him back his notebook and thought to myself he's right we are probably all gonna die. To be honest I have this terrible feeling in my chest that those that die those are the lucky ones in some sick way. I honestly believe right now that half of the 32 people will die in this world and those 16 are the lucky ones. After all who knows what we might find and face in this place what we might need to overcome just to see tomorrow. That doesn't matter though not now not today I'll just go to sleep and hope with all my heart this is some terrible awful nightmare and not reality. But regardless of what I think regardless of what I believe for some of us this world is almost definitely where they die I simply can't believe everyone will get out of this alive.

Perspective Miss Vittoria Agatino

When Pace approached me with this I didn't think I would write much. To be honest now I don't think I'll be able to go without it if one more crazy thing happens it really does help organise the thoughts and calm you down a bit. Though I must say those ten minutes running at the back for the cave I felt like I regretted every decision I had made but it was worth it to know I couldn't have done more if someone had. Doesn't matter no-one did everyone ate their food earlier today so no food even though we have water. At the end of the day everything feels like it's falling apart and it probably is but tomorrow we need to decide who to have hunt and forage food more over we need to plan. To be honest I usually would never trust Pace to plan but his ridiculous situation making and planning for is definitely something that will probably be useful just considering the ridiculous nature of what's been happening. Tomorrow is the nightmare I hope we don't wake up too but we probably will till tomorrow let's hope their are more entries to come.

"Pace..." said Miss Vittoria Agatino.

"Yes." Said Pace.

"I appreciate it." Said Miss Vittoria Agatino.

"Your welcome teach." Pace said taking back the note book.

After Pace left I just sat down and thought how screwed at least some of us are going to be by design I honestly believe in my heart of hearts. I honestly think I'll fail some of these kids no matter what I do or how hard I try and that I'll have to make some very hard choices that I just rather die than make. But in reality that's simply what I have to deal with and I hate that the idea makes me shake and hope I wake up back home and this is all a nightmare. I don't believe something like that is going to actually happen though it feels like this might be the world I die in. I truly hope after I wake up this is just a weirdly detailed nightmare not reality I hope beyond words this isn't the actual reality of my life to come that would be worse than death by a lot.

It won't take long for everything to go south beginning tomorrow it's really going to crash and everything may very well burn to the ground. That just seems to be what might happen just looking around at the expressions on most people's faces and I hope that at least no-one dies a week in or earlier.
