Chapter 6 - Strategy

Karen woke up with a feeling of emptiness. She tried taking in all that had been in the past few days. Jean was abducted. The owner of the club hell den her boss, was interested in helping her find her friend and also rescuing her. All these thoughts were clouded in her head and she couldn't get an answer from anyone. It's more like no one is even hearing her voice. She feels lonely without her friend Jean.

"Look at me here, lying in a comfortable bed and having people who are taking care of my needs, while my friend is out there. "I don't know how she's surviving out there. "I can't even help her. "I promise to be there for her," Karen said as she broke down into tears, feeling bad that she didn't save Jean. The maids came in with new clothes and food to serve Karen. They saw Karen looking unhappy, standing by the window. " Don't worry, my lady, Master Andrew, will find your friend and bring her back. He is a good man". One of the maids said, while trying to set the food on the table for Karen. Out of curiosity, Karen wanted to know more about this master, Andrew, aside from the fact that he is a very handsome man, and he is very intimidating. Something about him makes her feel like he is empty and there is a side of him that is approachable. "Can you tell me about this, your master Andrew ?" Karen asked with wide, beaming eyes.

"He is the son of Lord Jerome, the third of the bloodline of the great Lycans. "Their family owned this great club, and it has been controlled by them, from generation to generation", the other maid answered. "Master Andrew wasn't this cold. After he lost his mother and his father trained him alone, he became this cold and ruthless. His father was a dreadful man, and so he wanted Master Andrew to be like him. "He wasn't allowed to show any weak emotions", she continued. Immediately she said that I felt a cold feeling and I had sympathy for him. As a Lycan, you are not allowed to show any form of weakness. Maybe that's why Master Andrew seems cold.

Andrew walked into the room in a stylish black suit, his face showing no emotions, but his eyes could tell that he was unhappy, he needed someone or something to fill that void. Immediately, Andrew walked in, and the maids discharged themselves from their duties. They slowly left the room, leaving Andrew and Karen together. Andrew took a seat on the chair beside the bed, and he stared at the frame on the wall. "This used to be my mother's room. I don't always come into this room. It's been a long time since I came here. I know you might be wondering why I'm interested in rescuing your friend. The reason I am helping your friend Jean is that she reminds me of my mother and there is a spark in her that I'm drawn to. My mother was Blondie, kind and had these sparkling eyes that I can never get enough of seeing ". Andrew said with a motionless face. After hearing this, Karen became curious and wanted to know more.

Immediately, Andrew stood and walked towards Karen. He snapped his finger and one of his men came in. "I want to help in the search for my friend. "I felt I could be of help, Karen said. Andrew ignored Karen's suggestion, threw in and introduced the man he called. "Karen, this John he will take care of all your needs, as for now you're not going to dance in the club until I say otherwise". Hearing Andrew say this was a relief to Karen, she didn't know Andrew would be this nice. Karen decided to tell Andrew about Jean, since he had decided to help find Jean, she felt it would be nice to share Jean's story with him.

"Would you like to know about Jean?" She asked him with a smile on her face." I don't think it will be necessary. "I feel that she should be in the right position to tell me about herself. Andrew answered and left the room with his men. Karen sat down there in the room alone, different thoughts clouded her. She felt hopeless not being able to help. Karen then had flashbacks of how it all started, how she met Jean and how they became very close friends.

Jean had already been brought to the club before Karen. They were both at a young age. Jean was very nice to her. She consoled her because Karen was always crying and wanting to go back home. Jean was the one who helped her fit in and helped her to stay out of trouble with the Lycans. Even when Karen was confronted by a Luna and Beta, it was Jean who saved her. So now Jean is gone, she needs to return that favor by rescuing her because she knows Jean would have done that for her. Karen picked her coat from the hanger, packed her hair into a ponytail style.

She reached for the door knob and twisted it slowly, making sure there was no sound. She quietly tiptoed out of the hallway down to the main room. As she was about to leave the hallway, she heard some whispering in the corner of the room, so she decided to eavesdrop on the conversation. She heard two men talking about a plan and how they would accomplish such a plan. The plan was to deploy men by midnight to go after the alphas, and they had to make sure they captured the leader of the pack and kill his mate and everyone in his pack. Karen was leaning towards the door and was seriously pushing to hear more of the plan.

Then she mistakenly opened the door wide open and the men who were talking turned to look at Karen. Gripped with fear, she wanted to run away from the scene but as she was about to take a step, someone grabbed her by the hand.
