Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

May 19, 2016.

For Dahlia, that day was completely ordinary. At the age of 21, she did not have many responsibilities. As an only child, she didn't see her parents very often.Due to their jobs, her parents, one of whom was a lawyer and the other a doctor, we're unable to spend much time with her.To make up for their limited presence, they ensured she received a big amount of pocket money each month. She has good grades at her college .She had been an avid reader since she was young and practiced martial arts daily. She arrived home at approximately 5:45 p.m.After cleaning the house, eating, bathing and doing her homework, she lay down on her bed at around 9 h30 p.m. to read her new book.

At the end of the novel, the dragon gave himself up for the human princess aware that she had never fallen in love with him and was just using him.She thought that the dragon was very foolish. Why would you devote your life to someone who has no feelings for you?

While Dahlia was pondering about this, at the same time, far away in the star-filled sky, out of sight of human eyes, a large vortex appeared and disappeared as quickly as it had come.

After thinking about it and drinking a small glass of water, Dahlia got ready for bed. She would have liked to continue reading, but she has French class tomorrow. As she lay down on her bed, she was about to turn off her night light.Suddenly, she heard someone calling her name.

"Hello, Dahlia!"

Dahlia heart jumped slightly although her face didn't show it and she turned her head towards the slightly overexcited voice. Before her, in the air, was a strange creature. It looked like a creature from a mythical story.A mix between a panda and a dragon. It had a backpack and a book with a multicolored pencil in its hands.Dahlia thought she had read too many novels and was starting to see things.Dahlia blinked two or three times and even pinched herself until it hurt.Yep, she thought. This isn't a hallucination or a dream, otherwise I wouldn't feel anything.

Dahlia was pragmatic and didn't trust appearances, even though it didn't appear to be very evil. She decided to play it safe. Playing dumb was out of the question because this thing knew her name, which implies it knew of at least some superficial information about her, but she also had to be careful not to be too smart. I need to respond as any ordinary person would in this scenario. It took no more than a few seconds for her to come up with this plan in her mind.

"Hi....Umm....May I ask who are you and what you are doing in my room?"

She said with just the right amount of hesitation.

The being, who was clearly content with her polite tone, responded.

"My name is Aurum Maciluis Tranigeonia Satonasox.I acknowledge that my name may be challenging for humans, thus please refer to me as Aurum. I have come to give you a mission that is of utmost importance.

"A mission? Like in fantasy stories and movies? But... why me?"

Dahlia said to Aurum in a confused tone.

"This is your destiny, Dahlia. No one is more qualified than you for this significant task!"

Aurum responded in a calm tone.

Dahlia put on a show of being taken aback by the reply, but in reality, she didn't buy Aurum's nonsense for a second. She mentally rolled her eyes. She certainly wasn't the top human being on the planet, as there were numerous individuals who were superior to her.Furthermore, she considered him to be quite dubious.Too much so.What reason would a superior being like Aurum, clearly non-human, have for conveying a mission to someone as ordinary as a human? If the task was truly that "crucial," why wouldn't he take it on personally? There's something not clear about this story.

Dahlia quickly gathered her thoughts, determined not to get involved in any mission. Unlike the impulsive girls and boys from the transmigration stories she had read, she was smart enough to avoid unnecessary risks. She understood that asking for information would likely trap her into accepting the so-called "mission," whether she wanted to or not.

With a gentle, apologetic tone, she said to Aurum, "I'm truly sorry, Aurum, but I can't take on this mission. My family depends on me right now, and I need to be there for them. I'm confident you'll find someone better suited."

In truth, her parents didn't actually need her care—but Aurum didn't have to know that.
