 Puff, puff!

Central Deck of the Kidd Pirates' Ship.

Bai Yu stood surrounded by hundreds of pirates.

He weaved through the crowd like a silver fish in a stormy sea—swift, silent, and deadly.

Wherever he passed, pirates fell like stalks of wheat under a scythe.

Metal clashed. Flesh tore. Bones shattered.

Nothing—no axe, no pistol, no body—could withstand the might of Sakuragi, the blade in Bai Yu's hand.

Each strike cleaved through defenses as though slicing through warm tofu.

  After a while.

Bai Yu's blade slashed down another foe, sending blood flying. He stopped and surveyed the carnage around him.

More than three hundred pirates had been here.

Now, over two-thirds lay dead by his sword.

The survivors? Mostly gunners keeping their distance… or cowards paralyzed by fear.

It was a complete and utter slaughter.

And not once had Bai Yu used Haki, Devil Fruit powers, or any flashy technique.

  Just pure, ruthless swordsmanship.

---

  "Y-You…!"

Kira, glaring at Bai Yu with fury and disbelief, pointed his weapon at him.

"They were too weak," Bai Yu replied coldly, lifting his sword and then gesturing at Kira with a provocative tilt of his chin. "But you… might be different."

This massacre hadn't even been a decent blade test.

Frustrated by Bai Yu's calm dismissal, Kira could no longer hold back.

He flipped his arms, gripping two crescent-shaped scythes with practiced ease.

  Fwoosh!

With a powerful step, Kira launched himself toward Bai Yu like a rocket.

  "Decapitation Whirlwind!"

As he flew forward, Kira combined the twin scythes, spinning them in a deadly arc aimed directly at Bai Yu's neck.

The move was infamous across the New World—an execution-style assault designed to sever heads before an enemy could react.

  Bai Yu's eyes sharpened.

  "…Finally, something interesting," he muttered.

He activated Kenbunshoku Haki—Observation Haki—his senses locking onto Kira's every move with crystal clarity.

At the moment of impact, Bai Yu raised Sakuragi and swung down in a fluid, confident arc.

  Clang!

Steel rang as Sakuragi struck the perfect center between Kira's dual blades.

  Sparks exploded, and—

  CRACK!

To Kira's shock, his weapons broke in two.

The next instant, Bai Yu's blade raked across his chest.

  Krrrsh!

His armor shredded, a deep gash carved down the front of his torso.

  "Hh-hiss…!"

Kira gasped, pain surging through him.

He instinctively retreated, blood trickling from the wound. Glancing down, he realized just how close he'd come to death.

If his scythes hadn't absorbed some of the blow—

It wouldn't just be blood spilling out… it'd be his intestines.

"D-Damn it… What kind of sword is that?!"

  Kira grimaced.

The slash wasn't just deep—it was strange.

A chilling sensation seeped from the wound, prickling his nerves with every movement.

It was torment both physical and mental.

And worst of all—Bai Yu wasn't even serious.

His movements were measured, almost sluggish—like a swordsman testing an unfamiliar blade.

He really is just testing the sword?!

That thought sent shivers through Kira's spine.

If Bai Yu could do this while 'rusty'…

Just how strong was he in earnest?

---

  But Kira clenched his jaw.

"This is my chance," he thought.

"If I strike before he gets serious—I might win in a single blow!"

He ripped off his ruined top, quickly binding his bleeding chest with scraps of fabric.

Then, with a growl, he pulled out two massive sickles from his back.

The broken weapons fell to the floor with a clatter.

When Kira lifted his head, his eyes burned with killing intent.

  Boom!

He dashed forward, kicking off with everything he had.

The twin scythes crossed again—mimicking the earlier move.

  Bai Yu narrowed his eyes.

  The same trick again?

He shook his head slowly, almost disappointed.

It didn't work once. Why would it now?

Kira was faster… but Bai Yu was faster still.

Just as Kira closed in, Bai Yu began to raise his sword—when suddenly, something changed.

A smirk spread across Kira's lips.

Mid-charge, he leapt into the air—his body twisting.

With terrifying speed, his sickles spun apart, rotating in tandem with his body.

He became a human buzzsaw descending from above.

  "Great Scythe Spiral: Sonic Cut!"

  Hummm…!

A deafening sonic boom erupted as the spinning scythes tore through the air, accelerating with rotational force.

For a moment, Bai Yu's eyes widened.

  A feint into a fully upgraded assault—clever.

But Kira wasn't the only one who could change pace.

With a single breath, Bai Yu's Qinglong Sword Intent ignited around Sakuragi.

He twisted his body—and slashed horizontally in a flash of blue light.

  Whoo-BANG!

A crescent-shaped arc of blue-white energy burst from his blade, surging outward like a tide.

It met the spinning Kira mid-air.

  Clang! Clang!

Two shattering collisions exploded through the ship.

Sakuragi's wave of Sword Intent cut straight through Kira's spinning weapons.

  Then—it kept going.

  "So fast… that sword…"

  Shhhkk!

Kira's voice barely escaped his lips before the slash passed through him like a guillotine.

He was cleaved cleanly from waist to crown.

His upper body twisted left. His lower body twisted right.

Both halves landed with twin thuds on the bloodstained deck.

Kira—the infamous warrior of the Kidd Pirates—was dead in a single strike.

---

Bai Yu exhaled softly and flicked the blood from his sword with a graceful motion.

  He turned.

The remaining pirates stared at him in mute horror.

  "…M-Monster…"

  "Monster!!"

  "R-RUN!!"

Even the most hardened fighters lost all will to battle.

They scattered, some tripping over corpses, others hurling themselves over the railing in blind panic.

Some tried to swim for their lives—anything to escape that sword.

  But Bai Yu wasn't finished.

  "Soru!"

  In an instant, he vanished.

Only a sonic boom remained—an echo of movement as he flashed from one pirate to the next.

  Slash! Slash! Slash!

What followed… was a nightmare of steel and blood.

  For the Kidd Pirates…

  It was the end.
