"THE SAYURI FLOP ACT" ft. HOBI

[🐯 Taehyung]

Tell Ivory I'm available for wine sponsorships and ego bruising.

I like pain now, apparently.

Jungkook was sprawled on the couch, one arm draped lazily around Ivory, who was curled up beside him with a glass of wine in hand. The room was dim, cozy, filled with soft jazz playing faintly in the background. But none of that mattered when Jungkook suddenly chuckled under his breath, eyes glued to his phone.

"What's funny?" Ivory leaned closer, trying to peek.

He smirked, then tilted his phone toward her. "My GC with the guys. They're still not over earlier."

He tapped to expand the messages.

Ivory laughed so hard she nearly dropped her wine. "Oh my god. They're insane."

Jungkook smiled warmly, resting his chin on her shoulder. "They really like you."

Still chuckling, she looked over. "Taehyung would bark?"

He gave her a sly look. "I mean, he would."

Ivory snorted. "Tell Hobi I'll send him a video reenactment with special effects."

[🐥 Jimin]

Please do. I'll do the background screaming.

Yoongi can be Sayuri. He has the deadpan nailed.

[🐱 Yoongi]

Excuse you. I have range.

Ivory was crying-laughing, as she read the awards with a wheeze.

Jungkook turned to Ivory with a soft grin, voice quieter now. "You know... seeing you stand up for me like that tonight... it meant more than I can even explain."

Her teasing faded for a moment. She reached up, brushing his hair gently off his forehead. "Of course I would. You protect the people you care about, don't you?"

He looked at her like she hung stars in his sky.

"...I really must've done something right to deserve you," he whispered.

"Maybe you donated a kidney before, and then fate is rewarding you now."

Jake laughed, a hearty laugh.

Ivory stole a glance at him, her lips twitching.

"So..." she began, dragging out the word, "Sayuri, huh?"

Jungkook groaned instantly. "Don't."

She laughed, eyes glinting. "No, seriously. That was your ex? What in all of Iceland were you thinking?"

"I wasn't," he muttered, cheeks flushing slightly.

She gasped dramatically. "Oh no. You were blinded. Was it the hair? The fake tears? The constant manipulation? Be honest."

"Ivoryyyyy," he whined, trying not to smile.

She nudged him with her shoulder. "I'm just saying... how could someone as emotionally constipated as you end up with someone who'd sell their soul for a headline?"

"I didn't know she'd go that far," he muttered, looking away.

Ivory's teasing paused, her voice softer now. "I know, Jake. I'm just giving you hell."

He looked at her again, a small smirk tugging at his lips. "You're good at that."

"Oh, I excel at it," she replied, proud. "But for real..." She tilted her head, studying him. "You ever feel like you were just trying to hold onto something because it reminded you of who you used to be?"

Jake was quiet for a moment, surprised at the accuracy of her words. There it is again—the thread. The thing he felt before in Iceland. The feeling that pulled him to her. Her words. Her comfort. The things she says that hit right.

He looked at her as if he were seeing her again for the first time. The woman who sat at the cafe with sunlight dancing softly across her cheek, eyes as blue as the midnight sky and smile like warm bread in a cold winter morning.

"Yeah," he said finally. "Exactly that."

Ivory nodded, her teasing smile fading into something gentler. "It's okay. You're not that guy anymore. And she was never worthy of who you've become."

He looked at her, something raw and open in his gaze. "You really think so?"

She squeezed his hand without hesitation. "No doubt. But if you ever bring another demon like her to dinner again, I will unleash Taehyung. The one who's ready to yeet a bitch out without hesitation."

Jungkook laughed—a low, real laugh that vibrated in his chest.

"Duly noted."

The morning after that, when Jake is busy with his upcoming schedules, Ivory dressed in her casual suit, a virtual meeting with her trustees and Lawyer.

"Where are we with the Sayuri issue?" she asked, sliding into her seat with the air of someone who already knew the answer.

"We've gathered screenshots, metadata, and testimonies. Defamation. Invasion of privacy. Harassment. We've got a case that can bury her."

"Good," Ivory said without a flicker of emotion. "Make it clean. Quiet. And irreversible."

Her assistant leaned in. "Do you want the PR team to leak anything in return?"

Ivory gave a soft smile, the kind that didn't reach her eyes. "No. Let her scream into the void. We don't need to get dirty to win. We just need to remind them who they're dealing with."

And just like that, she picked up her espresso and moved on to wine licensing schedules as if she hadn't just unleashed a legal avalanche.

"Let's push the new flavored wine launch a little early, right just before the holidays maybe?" She says. Eyeing her calendar, a little note on the date of December 12th that said:

Military Entrance.

The press conference room was packed. Cameras clicked like static thunder. Reporters leaned forward, pens hovering, lips poised. Jungkook walked in—not as the broken idol they tried to paint him as, but as a man reclaimed. Confident. Composed.

He stood behind the podium, adjusted the mic once, and bowed deeply.

"Thank you for being here today. I have something to say—not as a celebrity, but as a person."

Screens behind him flickered to life, showing legal documents, timestamps, screenshots. The story unraveled in real-time: Sayuri's manipulation. Her false accusations. Her violations.

"I was silent because I didn't want to create a scene. But silence gave power to lies. And I won't allow that anymore—not for myself, and not for the people I care about."

The murmurs grew louder as a poised woman stepped forward. Ivory's legal representative. Clad in a neutral-toned suit and a quiet vengeance.

"We are pursuing legal action for defamation, harassment, and privacy violations on behalf of Mr. Jeon and our client, Ms. Ivory Kim. We have gathered digital evidence, private correspondences, and testimonies."

On cue, the monitors flashed more: blurred chat logs, audio snippets, metadata trails.

It was clinical. Cold. Crushing.

By the time the press conference ended, Sayuri's name was trending—but not how she wanted. Public opinion flipped like a coin. Her last card had burned in her own hand.

Ivory sat cross-legged on her couch, laptop open, watching the entire broadcast. A mug of tea warmed her palms. The virtual assistant's voice translated each Korean phrase fluidly.

"...thank you. That concludes our statement."

Ivory exhaled slowly, a smile playing at her lips.

"Well, damn," she muttered. "He really did it."

The virtual assistant chimed again, polite and clear. "Would you like to schedule Korean language lessons, Miss Kim?"

Ivory blinked, then grinned.

"Actually... yeah. I'd like that."

She leaned back into the cushions, eyes never leaving the paused frame on her screen—Jake, standing tall, proud, free.

"I wanna converse with him with his mother tongue. I want to surprise him."

A soft chime confirmed the session booking.

For the first time in a long time, she didn't just feel like she was protecting him. She felt like she was walking beside him.
