Jinrang.
The rest of the school day was pretty normal, study some, sleep on the desk, eat some snacks, get chewed out by teachers for falling asleep, pretty standard stuff if you ask him.
'It's done, finally.' Jinrang stepped out of school, looking up at the sky with a slight smile.
"One look at you, and people would think you just finished the hardest assignment." Sona cut in from behind, she too was wearing a slight smile, clearly amused by the boy.
"School's pretty hard and tiring if you ask me."
"…You aren't even in any school clubs,(I don't get the school club thingies, to be completely honest) I think you might be a bit lazy."
"Right, I'm the laziest man when it comes to school stuff, other than that I think I work pretty hard y'know?"
"Really now?"
Sona was filled with many doubts, ever since this man transferred, he progressively got lazier and lazier, he studied well in the beginning, but now he had a bit above average grades.
"Anyways, gotta go my home is calling out to me." Jinrang bowed and went home
"Goodbye, Jinrang."
Sona turned round and went back inside the school, and she bumped into her childhood friend, dubbed by the student populace as the most gorgeous girl in the academy.
"Greetings, Sona how's your day going?" Rias questioned with a warm smile, the kind that will fill your heart with warmth.
"So far so good, it's been peaceful for now, anything happening on your side?"
"Oh, nothing the usual." Rias responded, still smiling at her friend.
Sona raised an eyebrow, "What is it?"
"Still bothering Jinrang I see, so? Are you planning to invite him?"
Sona sighed deeply, "No, I won't be inviting him, he's a good person, he's pretty intelligent too, even though his appearance suggests otherwise, it's just… infuriating how lazy he has become."
Rias giggled,"I don't think I've seen anyone get under your skin as much as him… Though I've got to admit, his academic performance used to be quite impressive, I wonder what changed."
"Why? Are YOU planning to invite him to your peerage?"
"Hmm… I would, but I don't think he'd be the type to care about the supernatural, he'll probably refuse out of laziness or something like that." Rias shook her head.
"Indeed, I do see that happening, but who knows? If he just decides not to be lazy anymore I'll try to invite him."
"I see, best of luck then, farewell Sona."
"Farewell."
The two separated and each went to their "base of operations." The student council room, and The Occult Research Club.
(I assume you guys know what these are, since you're reading a DxD fanfic.)
With Jinrang.
As he walked the road to his house, he got sidetracked and wandered into a convenience store, bought a ton of snacks after all, he was quite rich in this life.
'Oh? This flavor is pretty good.' Jinrang munched on chips as he went on his way.
Chips never fail to amaze anyone, and Jinrang isn't an exception.
On his way he did notice something quite interesting.
A black-haired girl, confessing to a brown-haired boy, which was… as you guessed it, Hyoddou Issei, the protagonist of the original story and the girl… his ticket to the supernatural world.
'So it begins…'
As he went on his way, he thought of what to do.
'I'll first have to find the church, and then pay attention to Issei and the others, from that point I'll attack the fallen and that crazy priest, then I guess I'll formally introduce myself to the two governing the territory.'
Jinrang nodded to himself, 'Alright, plan set let's go home now.'
"Ouch!" Someone bumped into him, and he stopped immediately.
Looking down he saw a red-haired boy who looked very much like his classmate, Rias Gremory.
"Sorry about that, are you okay kid?" Jinrang squatted down.
"Excuse me, I wasn't watching where I was going I apologise for that." The boy bowed deeply.
"It's fine, I'm at fault too, where are your parents?" He questioned
"Oh uh, my dad's over there." He pointed towards a tall red-haired man, who was conversing with another person, who bowed and left.
"Oh, I guess you aren't lost then, here take this." Jinrang offered him a chocolate bar he had.
The boy was a bit nervous about accepting a gift, but he eventually gave in.
"By the way… are you related to Rias Gremory by any chance?" Jinrang questioned.
"Indeed, she's my aunt, but why're you asking?"
'Oh? Clever kid.' Jinrang thought, "She's a classmate of mine, and you two look alike."
"Classmate?! You're still a student?!" The not was flabbergasted. No I mean seriously.
"Do I look that old?"
"I thought you were an uncle…"
"Well, alright, bye kid." Jinrang bid farewell and left quickly.
"Wait! What's your name?" the boy called out from behind.
"It's Jinrang."
Millicas repeated the name quietly and ran back to his dad, who of course heard everything, and the two disappeared in a red glow, like they weren't even there.
