There was chaos in the streets. Kawlan was looking at the window, watching where the Empire was going. It looked like the stormtroopers were going to enter their home. Kawlan already had his blaster in his hand, ready to fight, but there was no break in, they had gone in the opposite direction, looking like Obi-Wan's distraction worked, but it wouldn't be long until they were back, which is why the Path had to find a new home. Kawaln turned his back, going into the tunnel. Cody, Narr, and Tala met him halfway.
"The final group is getting on board, we should be leaving shortly" Tala told him.
Kawlan nodded his head, rubbing the hair on his chin, "Good, sooner we leave, the better"
"Where is General Kenobi?" Cody asked the leader of the group.
Kawlan sighed before turning to the clone, "He went for a diversion"
"What!" Cody said furiously.
"He suggested it, he needed to get Empire off our backs"
Codys mind was racing, not sure what to think. He was even more annoyed that no one told him. He grabbed the blaster from his side, catching everyone off guard. Narr was even more cautious, already arm aimed towards grabbing his lightsaber. Instead, Cody had his back turned, "I got to help him"
"Don't be crazy, Kenobi sacrificed himself so we could leave" Narr told him, but only to get a furious looked from the clone.
"I already abandoned him once, I am not doing it again. We don't leave each other"
Tala stepped in between the two, "Look we have no time. Cody, and I will find Obi-Wan once everyone is on board. We have a shuttle, we won't be putting anyone at risk"
Narr looked at Tala, who nodded, "Alright, just be careful, we don't want you getting captured.
Tala nodded, leaving with Cody to help finish up with the passengers.
Kawlan, and Narr were the only two left. The two looked at each other, and nodded. They helped with continuing to pack everything, leaving their home again.
Women, and Children were first, then the men, and the soldiers would follow. Supplies were loaded to the back, with everything else, but they weren't done yet. There were still things that Kawlan wanted to pack. He didn't want any of the stuff left behind to trace back to him, or the Path. Narr stayed with him to make sure he was there to help. So far everything seemed fine, but they heard someone sprinting fast. Kawlan pulled a blaster, but Narr lowered it, not sensing anything bad. It was a Lieutenant, he was filled with sweat, and had shortness of breath.
"Bad news, the Empire is at our door. Stormtroopers, knocking, demanding they come in. We have our door guard trying to talk them down, but the group is insistent"
Kawlan looked at Narr, then at the cruiser that they were about to take. The Walls were closing in, and soon the hidden area would be surrounded by the stormtroopers.
Narr stepped forward, grabbing his lightsaber, "I will hold them off"
"You are serious, you won't make it"
"No, but with a Jedi here, this will get the Empire off your back"
"You don't have to do this" Kawlan assured his friend.
"I know, but I ran once before, I am not going to do that again" Narr put a hand on his friends shoulder, "Thank you for everything. May the force be with you"
Kawlan nodded, shouting for everyone to get on board, they were ready to leave.
Narr looked at Cody who was listening the whole time. The two veterans of the Clone Wars nodded in approval.
"Make sure you take care of them" Narr told Cody.
"Don't worry, I will make sure these people get somewhere safe" Cody told him. Narr gave a slight smile before leaving.
Narr walked towards the door, hearing the guard arguing with the stormtroopers before they shot him down. The Jedi could feel the life fade from the Path member. He took this opportunity to hide in the dark room.
Stormtroopers barged in, the lights on their blasters on, looking for anything suspicious. Lights flickered, troopers ripping down anything that they don't like. One stormtrooper was shining his light on the ceiling. The trooper didn't even realize who was above them before it was too late. Seeing someone on the ceiling made them stagger back, but the Jedi activated his sapphire lightsaber, cutting down the stormtroopers in his path. These troopers panicked, trying to shoot him down, btu the Jedi took them out with ease.
Narr stepped outside, seeing more troopers headed his way. The Jedi shut the door, and ran inside. He hid in the cave. Stormtroopers broke in, scowling the area. They had found the entrance that led to the cave. Entering, Narr activated his lightsaber again, cutting his enemies down. He deflected blaster fire at them before spinning, and cutting one of the stormtroopers' sides, causing him to fall in half. He continued pressing his attack before finishing them off.
Narr sighed, he could feel the Path was still here, they were about to leave. That is when he heard clapping. Narr turned his head to see the Grand Inquisitor standing there with his arms folded, "Well done Jedi, but I am afraid your time is up. We know there is another Jedi with you. Tell me where Kenobi is, and I may consider letting you join our ranks"
Narr ignited his lightsaber, going to defend himself. He looked at the pau'an who ignited one of his blades. The Grand Inquisitor charged at Narr, putting him on the defensive. The head of the Inquisitor was strong. His attacks felt sharp, like it was going to break his defense. Narr ducked, and rolled over. He then hopped on a wall, trying to aim at the pau'ans head, but the Grand Inquisitor blocked the strike before kicking him back.
Narr could tell he was already outmatched. He rolled over, again, and blocked a strike, but the blade was coming down his shoulder. The Jedi bit his lip, as he tried not to yell in pain. He pushed back, and tried to cut his legs, but the Grand Inquisitor blocked with his blade, keeping on pushing Narr back. The Jedi felt himself getting closer to where the star cruiser was. He knew what would happen if he failed. The Jedi pushed himself forward, hoping to land hits, but he couldn't. The two locked blades, and the grand Inquisitor smiled. He activated the other end of his lightsaber, spinning it. This had cut Narr off balance, seeing his own weapon get cut by the top. He looked down at the severed blade, then at the Grand Inquisitor who leaped forward to impair him on the chest with his lightsaber. Narr fell to his knees, without letting a breath of air, dies.
The Grand Inquisitor smirked at the dead Jedis corpse before stepping over it without a word. He follows the hall until the end, but only to see the large ship hover above him before taking off. The pau'an looked at the ship, sensing a group of rebels. His face draws no emotion.
Kawlan was at the pilot area with Tala, and Cody, watching the cruiser float in the sky.
"Looks like we got out on time" he told the crew, but they were not done yet. Kawlan had ordered the pilot to swoop around for Kenobi, finding him with their scanners. He was miles below the ground. Kawlan still wanted to leave, knowing that the Empire was now out to get them, but Cody, and Tala without second thought got to the shuttle, much to the Path's leader ordering them not to go.
The two took the shuttle, and left to descend down to the ground where Obi-Wan was.
Tala landed the shuttle, getting her weapons prepared with Cody following behind. They hid behind a pillar. Cody put his helmet down, lowering the wire attached to it. Tala also takes out her goggles to scan the distance ahead. Obi-Wan was on the ground, and he was surrounded by stormtroopers. Next to them was Quinlan Vos, who still held his lightsaber in his hand. The two looked at each other, wondering what to do, but they nodded. Cody took out his rifle, and pointed it at the stormtroopers. He gave the nod to Tala, who had grenades in her hand. Cody started shooting at the troopers, one by one. This had alarmed Vos who was already conflicted. Tala threw grenades on the ground, but they were smoke. She quickly ran down the hill, picking up Obi-Wan's body, dragging him away back up to the hill.
Cody continued firing until they got back up, then they climbed back up to the shuttle with Tala piloting the ship.
Once the smoke cleared, Vos looked up to see a shuttle leave, he could sense Kenobi was on board, but didn't say anything. Instead he ignited his lightsaber, cutting down the last of the stormtroopers before he left.
