Chapter 12 - CHAPTER 11: BOTTOM-LINE

Havila said point blank, "That's because my then-boyfriend would always plead with me to show mercy to his now girlfriend because she was weak. Little did I know that I was the fake girlfriend and they were the real couple." The chief's daughter swore that she would break her friendship with Clarinda. She didn't like scheming bitches, but today she turned into one because of a favor, and she even surpassed her bottom line. She asked, " Why did you even fall for that stupid Georgia? he is nothing but a handsome meat. Don't tell me you judge people by their faces."

Even Havila has been asking herself that question since the breakup, so she passively said, " Let us just say that I thought he was somebody he wasn't. Thinking about it, I'm not even hurt by the breakup; I'm just pissed that they played this great beauty. They took my time for nothing. I think he lied to me, and of course, I have to look at his face. Look at myself, how could I choose an ugly duckling?" The chief's daughter realized something and laughed out loud.

She pointed at Havila and said, " Don't tell me you thought he was your handsome stranger you saved back then when you were little. I don't know how Tamar knew about the story, but she was the one who told him everything." You were searching for your handsome stranger, and she knew and wanted the same person, so they planned with Clarinda to offer her boyfriend to you. They didn't know it would take such a long time, so Clarinda was jealous and decided to tell you everything. Too bad you overheard them before she confessed."

Havila's mouth twitched, and he said, "Hold on, I don't know anyone by the name Tamar." The chief's daughter replied, "You don't know her, but she knows you. She heard you tell Clarinda about the handsome stranger, and she connected the dots. The only problem, she never told us who that person was." Havila clapped her hands lightly and sighed, "No wonder I never felt something deep for that asshole, so he was not my handsome stranger. I remember my heart beating lovingly when I hugged that boy back then." Then she dramatically clutched her chest and pretended to fall.

The chief's daughter thought she was going to fall for real and helped her up, but when she realized that Havila was just pretending, she blushed because she had just revealed her true self. Havila saved her by telling her thanks and bade her goodbye, and once again walked towards the door as if she were having a heart attack. When the bystanders thought that she was heartbroken, they saw her taking her surgeon's knife from the door frame, and she gave them a deadly, cute smile and left.

After about two minutes, the doors were pushed open again, and the people jumped in fright, thinking that the crazy, beautiful woman had come back. It was someone else, though. Clarinda came in, nose raised high and clutching Georgia's arm cutely. She thought that her cousin was still there and wanted to flaunt their love. Noticing the chief's daughter, she let go of Georgia's arm and went to her. She took her arm gently and asked, "Size, what happened to my cousin? Where is she? What did you request from her that made her leave quietly before I came?"

The chief's daughter answered grumpily, " Nothing, she had nothing to begin with, remember, she gave you everything she owned." Georgina's eyes showed remorse for a mere second when he heard those words, but he hid his emotions fast. Recently, he had been dreaming of Havila and realized that he missed her. He realized that he had started falling for Havila. Even her vibe was better than Clarinda's. He has started regretting everything, too bad he already hurt her, so there is no going back. Clarinda did not notice the changes in Georgia and smiled evilly.

She said, "Of course, I knew she didn't have anything, I just wanted you to humiliate her." The people at the club were looking at her as if she were a clown. They just witnessed how great Havila was, so they did not pay them any more attention and started dancing again. Georgia noticed the abnormality and tried to signal Clarinda, but she did not notice. She continues, "At least she lost face today, hopefully she won't bother me anymore." The chief's daughter was fed up with her and wanted to berate her; she was the one who got herself into this mess, so she kept quiet.

Wanting to create a boundary between them, she made an excuse and said, "I'm dead tired from all the dancing, I'm going back to rest." She then went out immediately. Georgia noticed her abnormal behavior but did not say anything, or he didn't care. Clarinda took his hands and started dancing to the music. I have to say that she has talent in dancing, just like her cousin. Maybe if she were the one competing against Havila, she would have won.

Keveelsky had wanted to go back to his room after the dance, but after 'Miss Security' mentioned the handsome stranger, he paused and gave them his undivided attention. Then he even heard Tamar's name, and this made his doubt more rooted. He told himself to ask her tomorrow after their marriage. He glanced at his friend, who was still dazed, looking at the door from which Havila had left. He pinched him, and he screamed, scaring everyone. He only said 'I'm leaving', then he disappeared.

The boy remained at the pub to drink his sorrows away. The girl he had liked for several years was taken by a stupid man. When he left her, he celebrated, thinking that his time had finally reached. Whoever said that fate cannot be manipulated should be rewarded. He now agreed that his fate can never be changed. He had fallen in love with a maiden who didn't even know him. Now that he could confess his feelings, his best friend also fell in love with the same girl, even if he hadn't realized it yet. Heaven forbid he can't fight with his friend over a woman, even if he did, he can't win. He could only drink to try and forgo his feelings...
