Darkness hovered in the air as silence settled within the center tower. Prince Edmon stood with his hands folded behind his back, and by his side was Queen Melissa.
"Have you thought about it?" she asked, and he nodded. "But then, how will your eldest son accept such conditions?" Edmon's brows narrowed worriedly.
Queen Melissa smiled, then walked over to the bar and poured herself a glass of champagne. "I've worked hard for this all my life. Certainly, after so many years, I should be ready."
Edmon nodded, then turned to leave but stopped. "And Kallin?" he demanded.
Queen Melissa smirked. "Just as we planned."
Satisfied with her response, He made his way past the long corridors, the weight of her words pressing on his shoulders....
Edmon walked to his guest apartment, where his girls were waiting. One of his pleasure mates ran into his arms, seductively rubbing herself against him.
"When do we depart?" she questioned. Edmon smiled. "Soon," he answered.
