Thunder roared in the sky, and lightning struck. The pale moon watched over the people, but not all. Within the walls of the Western Tower, Elias mumbled in his sleep, his breath hitched, and the person beside him snapped awake, very much aware.
"El," he called, but the petite man stirred some more, his body heating up despite the fresh breeze. His hand reached forward, grabbing air...
"Help me... don't leave," he mumbled.
The figure above him struggled to wake him up, to no avail. He was too deep, so much so that tears slipped from the corners of his eyes. Rowan's heart ached. It had been a while since the visions, but now they seemed to be back—more fierce than ever.
Elias stirred. His hands reached forward. He wanted to grab her, to hold her, but the more steps he took, the further she was away from him.
"Kelly... please save Kelly," he cried, watching the blazing flames engulf Snowdale. It was all crumbling—and with Kelly in it.
"Be safe," Kelly's voice echoed.
