Chapter 103 - Unintended Wedding

Time did not slow down as much as Sunny prayed. Dressed in a black robe with golden stripes specifically provided by the Moons, he stood before the carriage, ready to mount and pick his new bride. 

The sky was bright, with the moon illuminating the way. A day wedding was reserved for the ordinary folks, while night weddings consisted of the rich, the leading parties in the land. Sunny couldn't care which, but then the Moons had gone all the way to make good on, if not the best, the most anticipated of all.

"It's time to go, Sunny," one of the assigned guards whispered as Sunny stood before the horse with no signs of mounting. Sunny nodded, but his steps had never felt so heavy.

The ride was not quick. The streets were crowded with cheers despite the late hour. It would have been good, or maybe the happiest moment of his life, but then he was marrying the wrong one.
