The rise of the rogues and total control over Snowdale was nothing the elders had seen coming. They were dismissed, and those who resisted met their end in the same way they killed Kelly.
The elders were kept alive long enough to see it all go down, but not to enjoy it. Same as Kelly, their deaths were reported and staged as suicide, and the truth was buried.
But then, the dots weren't so hard to connect. The sudden death of Luna had left many tongues with questions, and the swift naming of an Alpha only made suspicion grow. Seeing the result, many suspected the rogues came in to clean, as they did.
"Even if the leader is rumored to be ruthless, I would rather be loyal to him than one who stabs you in the back," some natives sat discussing.
"I know, right? To say I saw Luna just a few hours before her death still baffles me. How such a vibrant person would turn to suicide."
