Some time passed, and Bobby had befriended Marcus and Hubert. He became a general for the striboran military. As an adult, his heart hardened, and he could not be deterred. He fought and defeated his enemies with Marcus and Hubert by his side. He became known for his tactics in battle.
General Bobby, Marcus, and Hubert won many battles for Stribora. Their involvement changed the tides of Stribora's War for Unification.
General Bobby still heard the voices of his dead allies and foes. He turned away from them and persevered. Battle after battle, he never looked back, and he pursued forward. He quickly grew glory and fame after each battle. Alas, he won the war at the final battle.
In a stage, Supreme Commander Octavius faced a crowd. "I introduce you to the world's top general and one of the Three Legendary Heroes, General Bobby," he announced.
Even after Stribora's Unification, monsters roamed the outside lands, and they sought war against humanity.
Years later, General Bobby found a wife and had a child with her named Bob.
"My wife is sick, sir. Let me tend to her," General Bobby implored the supreme commander.
However, Commander Octavius shook his head and urged, "You must keep the monsters at bay!"
General Bobby was kept busy, and therefore, he was never home.
Sadly, his wife died due to illness in his absence.
Stuck in a heated battle, General Bobby couldn't even attend her funeral. Burdened with guilt, he took his son wherever he went, even to the battlefield sometimes. Eventually, another war started against the zombies. Throughout each battle, he led his army to victory.
Soon, Commander Darius wanted General Bobby to invade their main base, Zombie Land.
Before he departed for the final battle of the Zombies War, General Bobby met with his son, Bob, alone.
General Bobby and Bob stood in an empty hallway.
"Come here, my son," General Bobby urged. He reached and hugged him.
Bob embraced him back. "Be careful, dad," he, worried for him, warned. His eyes were watery.
"I'll be back for you. Remember. Be brave," he consoled.
Bob nodded.
General Bobby led his army against the zombies and came back victorious. After the Zombies War, he continued fighting against other monsters, the gevaudans and the snakes.
The gevaudans were giant canine-like monsters. With a fierce gaze, they ran across the field in high speeds. Their snouts were long, and their teeth poked out of their mouth. Their ears were short and stubby. A mix of slobber and blood fell down their jaws.
The snakes were giant serpent-like monsters. Covered in different patterns, they slithered through the field. Their purple tongues popped out occasionally. Acid fell from it and deteriorated the fauna below. Opening their mouths, their large fangs contained a potent venom.
In the battlefield, explosions could be heard.
"We cornered them! Fire it! Do it, now," General Bobby ordered and stood in front of his army.
A jet flew overhead and fired a large missile at the two monster species. In an instant, a massive mushroom-shaped cloud of smoke rose.
General Bobby braced his feet for a shockwave. His moustache swayed, and he held onto his hat.
After the devastating attack, the remaining gevaudans and snakes retreated.
General Bobby sighed in relief and explored the aftermath.
Shockingly, an animal traversed the battlefield.
Animals were normally kept inside cities as it was too dangerous for them outside.
It was a small female puppy with a broken leg. Looking for food or water, it sniffed the ground.
General Bobby cautiously approached the puppy. He looked around at the empty field and frowned. "Why is there a dog here, in a monster-habited area?"
The puppy noticed him and rapidly limped towards him. His tongue hung out, and his large ears flapped.
General Bobby's eyebrows rose with uncertainty. He stepped and leaned back. His hands were out in front of him, and he looked down.
The small puppy simply licked the dirt off his shoe.
"Huh," General Bobby stuttered and added, "You're just a regular puppy. You're just out here in the middle of nowhere where a massive battle occurred." Sweat dripped down the side of his face. He blinked and gulped.
The small puppy backed away and barked. Trying to entice him to play, she hopped back and forth and ran in circles.
General Bobby chuckled and sighed in relief. He took the puppy back with him and commented, "I think I'm going to name you, Bessy." He smiled.
Back at the base, Bessy licked the shoe of Bob. Her tail wagged, and her leg was bandaged.
"I found her at the battlefield. She was in the middle of our explosion. I'm not sure how she survived it or the monsters around," General Bobby revealed.
Bob's mouth formed a circle. He was in awe. He glanced down at Bessy and requested, "Dad, can we keep her?" He petted her and cooed.
Bessy tackled him to the ground and held him down. She, relentless, licked his face.
Bob laughed and stammered, "Ah! Stop! It tickles! You're so strong for a puppy!"
"Of course. We shall keep her," General Bobby responded and picked their puppy up. He grinned.
As Bessy recovered, General Bobby and his son deeply bonded with her.
Now, General Bobby, three years later, laid in a puddle of his own blood. He wheezed for air and stared at the sky.
Commander Number 3 walked away.
"Hey," General Bobby exclaimed and divulged, "I remember you, now."
Commander Number 3 looked back at him with a sorrowful yet serious expression.
General Bobby reached for him and demanded to know, "How? How are you alive? Don't tell me they put you through more..." He coughed harshly and vomited blood.
Commander Number 3 smirked. "It's a secret and a little complicated," he replied. He sighed and relented, "But, since we knew each other in the past, I'll tell you."
Realizing his assumptions were correct, General Bobby gasped with regret and disbelief. His hand dropped to ground.
Commander Number 3 kept his back toward him. Instead, he turned his head and peered back at him. "My dying consciousness survived the ordeal. After you escaped, I replaced you. It took a while, but I became the robot and commander of The Evil Cyborgs, Number 3." He faced forward and walked away. "Farewell, Bobby, my old friend," he muttered.
General Bobby tried to move, but he couldn't. He sighed. "I guess no one's coming to save me this time," he assumed as he laid and bled out. He remembered living through many deaths of his allies. "It must be my turn to die. I hope I lived up to everyone's expectations," he softly commented. "Odd. I'm going to join them, yet I feel so calm," he continued. His eyes twitched and grew weaker. They closed. "I'm sorry, my son and Bessy. I won't be back this time. Be brave for me," he mumbled as he slowly lost consciousness.
A cold breeze blew over him. Dust rose into the air.
In his final moments, General Bobby remembered Marcus' apprentices. "The world may not be a perfect place, but I believe that they could make it be," he thought. Alas, he perished.
With The Evil Cyborgs' victory over General Bobby's army, what does this mean for humanity? Are they doomed?
