The ground exploded as I crashed into it, a grunt coming from my lips as I flipped over right as Black Adam crashed into the ground with a stomp.
Lunging in, I grabbed onto the wrist he swung at me and flipped behind him, the man spinning with the flip and throwing another punch at my head.
Catching it, our clash sent ripples outwards in all directions, a grimace on my face as I saw the ground crack and some of the buildings shake.
'Fuck, collateral damage,' I thought as I dug my feet into the ground and spun, Black Adam looking surprised as I blew out a cold wind and froze him solid again.
With a grunt, I threw him back into the sky only for Wonder Woman to punch him back down, making me blink as I watched the godlike figure crash into the ground with a deafening boom.
"We need to keep them separate!"
"Collateral damage!"
"It can be repaired!", She shouted before diving down to Black Adam, making me palm my face with a groan before I shook my head and followed after her.
"Even if it can, we need! To make sure that it's not damaged too much!" I grunted as I caught a punch to the side, trapping his arm and lashing out with my own jab at his face.
"You think like Clark! But this is not a foe we must underestimate!", She exclaimed as she rushed in from the side, ducking under his punch and wrapping her arms around his waist.
Letting go of his arm, I watched as the woman lifted and slammed him head first into the ground, both of us quickly following with a double pin right as he grunted and let out a potent burst of lightning.
Gritting my teeth as the electricity surged through me, it exploded and sent Wonder Woman and I flying to the sides, a groan escaping my lips as I rolled across the ground before landing on my side.
"I do not enjoy you two treating me like I am no stronger than a child."
"Ah, apologies. That was not our intention," I apologized with a smirk, Black Adam raising an eyebrow in surprise as Wonder Woman narrowed her eyes at me.
"Why are you apologizing to your foe?"
"Well, it's just polite to apologize to someone if you're in the wrong even if you're going to knock their teeth in."
"...Are you mocking me?"
"You finally caught on?", I asked with a smirk, immediately shifting to the side as Black Adam lunged and swung at me.
Ducking under him and wrapping my arms around his neck, Wonder Woman lunged in with a heavy stomp to his stomach, knocking the wind out of him as I heaved back and slammed him into the ground.
Asphalt and debris flew everywhere as I rolled over to the side, Wonder Woman landing a vicious kick to his side that sent him flying at a building.
Lunging after him, I activated TTK as I grabbed onto his leg and tossed him away, sending a shockwave of pure energy reverberating through his body.
It worked as I saw his eyes widen and blood dribble from his nose as he flipped over, barely catching his footing with a snarl as he raised a hand and dabbed at his lip.
"You... you dare?!", He roared, his voice sounding like thunder as it shook the windows while I lunged in with a smirk.
"Would you rather we embroidered you a 'world's sorriest mythical being' instead?", I shot back before sliding under his lunge, Diana charging in and slamming him shield first.
His head snapped back before he grabbed onto her shield, landing a vicious punch that sent her skidding back. Spinning around as I rushed at him, I gritted my teeth as he landed a powerful elbow to his jaw, digging my feet into the ground before letting out a bellow.
My fist slammed into his jaw and sent him upward as I grabbed onto his leg, spinning and slamming him into the ground before another shockwave of TTK ripped through his leg.
A pained cry from him was swiftly silenced with a heavy stomp onto his head, my grip on his leg tightening as I slammed him into the ground over and over while TTK did its best to destroy every bone in his right leg.
"Stay! Down!", I snarled as I threw him back before grabbing him by the waist and tackling him shoulder-first into the ground, landing a series of punches to his skull that was enhanced by TTK.
I knew that his brain was rattling from the shockwaves and that he had severe internal damage, but my eyes widened as he let out a roar and lightning exploded from my chest.
It burned through my telekinetic force field as it sent me flying back, feeling a pair of hands grabbing me before Wonder Woman put me down and ran towards Black Adam.
The god-like being growled as he staggered to his feet, swinging a jab at Wonder Woman that she easily stopped with her shield. Pushing down, the woman continued with a punch to his chest, knocking the wind out of him as she took out her whip.
The golden cord snapped out like lightning and coiled around his arm, Wonder Woman yanking him back before driving her knee into his stomach. The impact shattered the ground as he wheezed, but instead of collapsing, he snarled and yanked back.
The force of it pulled her forward and into a fist to her ribs, but before he could press, my fist snapped into his jaw and I flared my TTK.
The force of it cracked like thunder his head whipped to the side, following up with a second blow to his throat as Wonder Woman lashed out with a stomp that sent him stumbling back.
"Thank you," She spoke as we hopped back to recover, to which I nodded as I watched rage dance in Black Adam's eyes while lightning danced along his form.
"I was going to simply hurt you beyond compare, but now I see why the Light considers you a nuisance. So-"
" 'I will kill you, but not before I kill your family, your friends, everyone you love. You will rue the day you invoked my anger and I will make sure you regret that choice for the rest of your days!' ...Something like that?", I asked with a bored look, smirking as the anger in his eyes increased tenfold and he shot forward.
"Now!", I grunted as I crouched down and lunged forward, the two of us locked in a tackle before I nailed him with a headbutt. At my order, Wonder Woman threw her whip and wrapped it around his neck, Black Adam's eyes widening when I grabbed his arms and let out a shockwave with TTK into them.
Snapping his shoulders out of pocket, Wonder Woman lunged in from behind and locked him in a chokehold, my hands tightening around his wrists as I let the TTK move on and assault his body from within.
He roared in pain as lightning surged from his form and impacted us both. I just grinned through the pain as I stuck us to his body with TTK while the whip around his neck glowed white-gold.
"Yield!", Wonder Woman growled as she leaned fully back, wrenching the lasso while I stepped back and pulled his arms with me.
I could see the excruciating pain in his eyes when his shoulders bent at an unnatural angle, but to my surprise, the villain let out a guttural cry and grabbed onto my hands.
A storm of black lightning exploded from his body and sent Wonder Woman flying backwards, a pained cry escaping my lips as it raced through my body and burned me from the inside.
"You are gnats! I was forged in eternity while you are but a mere child playing at war!", He snarled, twisting my wrists as I gritted my teeth before forcing a smile onto my face as I forced TTK to flare out.
"Is that so?", I spat out, rolling my shoulders and forcing our arms back to their previous position before pulling him in and delivering a crushing headbutt to his face.
I could feel his teeth crack from the blow as he stumbled back, but I didn't let go as I pulled him back and delivered another one. Shockwave after shockwave rippled from our forms as I delivered headbutt after headbutt that was enhanced with my TTK, my breathing ragged as I finally felt his grip becoming limp.
Throwing his arms out to the side, I grabbed onto his skull and slammed him face first into the ground, Wonder Woman diving down and slamming shield first into his chest.
The blow knocked the wind out of him before we grabbed onto his legs and tossed him down the street, the woman grabbing onto her lasso around his neck before pulling him overhead and back down onto the street with a devastating explosion.
"Think...that got him?", I rasped out, my body feeling a bit weak from the lightning as we stared at Black Adam lying half-buried in a crater.
Wonder Woman didn't answer as she stood tall with her shield at the ready, making me tense as I raised my hands right as Black Adam twitched.
Electricity sparked along his form as he dragged himself upwards, but before he could speak, both Wonder Woman and I shot forward.
I flared TTK one last time around my right fist as I pulled it back, Diana yanking her arm back and pulling him off his feet before my fist slammed into his skull and her shield crashed into his chest.
I winced as the blow shattered the windows and warped the street lamps, the shockwave sending Black Adam rolling across the ground before he slowly came to a stop.
Wonder Woman and I rushed in to his side before I let out a relieved sigh as he laid unconsciousness, sending a final wave of TTK through his form to make sure he was unconscious while she finally relaxed.
"Okay. Now I think we got him."
"He will not be out for long," She spoke as she unwrapped her lasso from his neck, to which I nodded as I picked up a street lamp and wrapped it around his form.
With a thought, TTK twisted through it and melded the lamp to his body, making Wonder Woman raise an eyebrow as I shrugged.
"If he wants to get it off now, it's going to leave heavy scarring without my help."
"That is quite ruthless for a hero."
"True, think we should-"
"But I agree. If he wishes to continue his villainous ways, then he must suffer the consequences," She added to my surprise, a small smirk on her face as I raised an eyebrow at that.
"Why do you look so surprised? I may be a hero, but I am still a warrior at heart"
"Well, Bats and Supes already keep talking to me about being fair and just and since you're like one of the original members, I expected you to be the same."
"They are heroic people and I do agree with some of their views, but strength needs to be tempered with pragmatism and realism in order to shift the balance."
"So, what you're saying is that I'm supposed to be the balance point between the boy scout and the paranoid billionaire?", I asked, letting out a tired laugh as she nodded.
"You fight like a soldier who understands the value of mercy yet the necessity of ruthlessness, a lesson that not many learn at your age."
"Strange, I always feel like I underestimate myself and overestimate others."
"That is a flaw, yes, but sometimes, the world already have too many heroes that only care to capture the villains alive. Perhaps, we do need one more person that knows when to draw the line."
"Ah, got it," I nodded before blinking as a green light swept over the ruined street, a gold-red blur sliding to a stop beside us moments later as a muscular man with short red hair in a Green Lantern uniform with the sleeves cut off and a cocky grin landed in front of us.
From his ring, the green light soon formed a cage around the unconscious Black Adam and I turned to Flash as he shrugged.
"The others are pushing Amazo into the atmosphere and Guy here wanted to come help so Hal and John sent him here."
"Still don't know why I couldn't have helped those two idiots. What help is Bats and the two Hawks going to do when they reach outer space?", Guy grumbled, to which I smirked as Flash and Wonder Woman shared an exasperated look.
"Don't worry. We'll need your help in shipping the big guy."
"Oi, don't think that because you're a member of the Justice League now that you can order me around. We haven't even met each other and I have been a hero for longer than you."
"Oh, so you're jealous? Don't worry as I'm sure that the League will see your efforts and make you a member soon enough," I spoke with a smile as I patted his shoulder, watching as he blinked in surprise at my words while Flash laughed.
"Hahahaha! Oh, I like having him on the team more and more every day."
"In any case, I can hold my breath so I'll go help the others above while you-!", My eyes widened as I swiftly tilted my body, hissing as a kryptonite bullet tore through my shoulder and impacted the ground..
'I should have heard that,' It was chilling just how close that was to hitting my heart and as I glared in the direction of where the bullet came from, the only thing I saw was Klarion waving at me from a few miles away with Deadshot at his side before they vanished.
"What was that?!"
"Klarion and Deadshot. He most likely used a muffle spell of sorts to...to...", I blinked as I felt drowsy, stumbling a bit as I felt Wonder Woman placing a hand on my shoulder.
"Are you okay?"
"Uh, Diana. I don't thinkkk...", That was the last thing I heard as the strength faded from my body and I fell into darkness.

"And you completed your mission?", Vandal asked as he sat in his chair, looking at the screen with Klarion who cackled.
"Hihihihi! But of course! The kryptonite bullet hit him and the poison should be working. By the way, Lexi, I love the idea of it. We should make more."
"Unfortunately, I have had enough of working with you. I'll have to throw up a few more times before I can stand your presence again," Lex answered and Klarion's cackling just grew louder as Ra's al Ghul's calm voice spoke next.
"What is this poison?"
"A mixture of kryptonite laced with chaos magic and certain toxins I received from our distinguished leader. It destabilizes cellular regeneration and disrupts Kryptonian nervous systems by making them one thousand times more sensitive to any form of stimuli."
"A painful death yet efficient."
"No, his death will be an inconvenience as the League can twist the story to make him out to be a martyr. The dosage is enough to let him live, but he will live poisoned, weakened and a liability to our enemies. After all, a compromised piece is far more valuable than one removed from the board," Lex responded and Ra's hummed before Queen Bee finaly spoke.
"With the boy no longer a problem for the near future, am I now allowed to initiate Project Conquest?"
"No, not yet. The clones are still not finished. For now, we shall wait and see what the League's response will be to our attack. Afterwards, we shall fully activate Project Doomsday."
"Are...you certain? The latest one we have is far stronger, but we still cannot control him," Lex spoke with a hesitant tone and Vandal smiled as he linked his fingers in front of his face and nodded.
"I am. First, we have taken out their pillar of rebellion. Now, we shall take care of their pillar of hope. Let us show them that anything that flies with a red cape and an S will be taken care of in due time. Let the League watch as their Symbol of Hope crumbles before them."
"And how will we make sure that the other members do not interfere?", The voice of Brain came from his monitor and Vandal chuckled as he looked to said monitor with a smirk.
"Simple. Initiate Protocol Injustice and tell Joker...that we need a bit of chaos once more."
