Chapter 13: Strategic Planning
The village square was filled with anxious faces. Srabon stood before the gathered villagers, the goblin spy tied to a post nearby, under the watchful eye of Mira.
"The Goblin King is preparing for another attack," Srabon announced. "This time, he's sending stronger troops — giants and hog riders."
Gasps rippled through the crowd. The Builder stepped forward, arms crossed. "If we're going to survive, we need to strengthen our defenses."
[New Quest: Fortify the Village. Reward: 600 Gold, 400 Elixir.]
Srabon opened the system interface, bringing up the map. "We need to upgrade the Archer Tower, reinforce the walls, and set new traps."
Mira raised her hand. "What about the goblin? Can we trust him?"
The goblin trembled, looking up at Srabon. "I know where the Goblin King is hiding his reserves. Lots of gold and elixir. If you attack first, you can cripple his army."
Srabon considered this, his mind racing. "If we strike first, we risk losing everything. But if we wait, we might not survive the next attack."
The Builder placed a hand on his shoulder. "The choice is yours, Chief."
Srabon took a deep breath, his jaw set. "Then let's prepare. We'll defend the village first. Once we're stronger, we'll strike back."
