"I want to date you," Jayden repeated again after Anna's exclamation.
He leaned back in his chair as if the proposal were as ordinary as suggesting lunch. His gaze was unwavering, that familiar mix of arrogance and mischief glittering in his eyes. "Aidan is going to marry Helena, and that is why we must date."
Anna stared at him for a moment, too stunned to immediately respond. She was unable to process why or what he was doing. "Are you… are you okay? What exactly do you take me for?"
A slow smirk spread across his face. "I heard you and Aidan aren't real. You asked him to marry you so you could get this company. The company is yours now, so date me."
Jayden seemed to be enjoying himself, from the look of amusement on his face, and Anna wasn't an object of amusement.
Apparently, he was the total opposite of Aidan, even though they shared a striking resemblance.
"What do you say?"
Anna couldn't believe he was seriously asking her that.
