The door opened and Anna perked up from the paperwork she was working on, to see Clara lingering by the door. Anna raised a brow, wondering why she wasn't coming in.
"Everything okay, Clara?" she demanded with a creased brow.
She leaned on the door and muttered. "Ms. Lorenzo, someone is here to see you. He doesn't have an appointment."
The look on her face was similar to the looks she always had when someone unexpectedly arrives.
Anna had stacked files in front of her, neatly ordered, demanding her full attention, and the last thing she needed was another distraction. She was about to ask who it was when the answer came of its own accord.
The door swung open without the slightest regard for courtesy, and a tall man stepped inside as though the office belonged to him, his gait brisk and unhurried.
Anna recognized him immediately; Felix Alvarez.
