Hisoka and Pakunoda were taken aback.
They hadn't expected Loki to share the rewards with them.
Their surprise was evident.
Pakunoda glanced at Loki.
"Card 03: Postcard to the Deceased. Difficult to obtain." She then turned and sat down in the shade of a nearby tree.
Loki had seen this card before.
It supposedly allows the user to write a letter to a deceased person on a postcard; the response appears on the return postcard the following day.
A set of one thousand postcards.
Hearing the card's name, Loki understood Pakunoda's intentions. If the effect was genuine, she undoubtedly wanted to communicate with deceased members of the Phantom Troupe. He smiled, then looked at Hisoka.
Hisoka considered for a few seconds, then a cold smile spread across his face.
"If I were to choose, I'd take Card 075: Alexander's Gem of Fortune. Difficult to obtain."
Loki remembered this card even more clearly.
The effect of Alexander's Gem of Fortune is that the possessor experiences a unique and invaluable event, but whether it's fortunate or unfortunate is left to chance.
A truly unique card. It guarantees an experience unlike any other, but whether it's fortunate or unfortunate is entirely unpredictable.
For Hisoka, who thrived on thrills, it was a perfect choice.
Loki used a teleportation card to travel to Limeiro. The massive castle in the center of Limeiro was impossible to miss. He didn't need to search; it was immediately visible.
Entering the castle, Loki was greeted by a blond boy, List, wearing a shirt and overalls.
"Just you?"
List smiled. "My name is List. I'm one of the game's creators, here to explain the completion rewards."
"I can clear the game?"
"All Greed Island players are treated equally. As long as you clear the game, you will receive the reward, regardless of who you are." List smiled.
"Please, come this way!"
As List led the way, Loki observed him. 'Based on my own strength, I'd rate him around 40 points.' Loki assessed List's strength using himself as a benchmark.
List led Loki to another room.
The moment the door opened, a foul odor wafted out, reminiscent of a garbage dump, causing Loki to wrinkle his nose.
Dwun, who was playing a game in the original story, stood rigidly before Loki, his expression cold and unreadable.
After staring at Loki for a few seconds, he closed his eyes and smiled. "Remarkable! At such a young age, you're already completely unfathomable. These young brats are getting more and more terrifying."
'60 points,' Loki mentally assessed Dwun, rating his slightly higher than List. However, this was just Loki's impression; many factors influence the outcome of a real fight, not just raw power.
Still, Loki was somewhat disappointed; the game creators were only this strong.
Loki extended his hand.
"The card."
Dwun frowned, pulling The Ruler's Blessing from his pocket and tossing it to Loki.
"Here."
Loki took the card and left. After Loki's departure, Dwun and List finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"Mr. Dwun," List said, "Did you feel it?"
Dwun nodded gravely. "Yes. I felt it."
"That gaze… it felt like he saw right through me." Dwun was still shaken.
To be completely seen through upon first meeting was an unprecedented level of pressure, even compared to Ging.
"But Mr. Dwun, didn't you notice that he wasn't as terrifying as the reports suggested?" List looked at Dwun.
Dwun paused, considering this. While Loki hadn't exuded any aura, he still gave off a sense of immense power.
But beyond that, he didn't possess the demonic aura described in the reports.
He didn't reach that level of terrifying presence.
Shaking his head, Dwun turned and sat down, turning on his game.
"Let's not dwell on it. In any case, that monster is finally leaving Greed Island. Otherwise, we wouldn't be able to relax."
Looking at the illuminated screen, Dwun smiled.
"Someone else will deal with the trouble."
Meanwhile, Loki, holding the final card, began receiving his completion rewards.
Elena, who was responsible for sending players off the island and awarding completion rewards, asked Loki,
"Which three cards would you like to take with you from Greed Island?"
"Risk Dice, Postcard to the Deceased, and Alexander's Gem of Fortune."
Loki's response caused Elena to pause, clearly puzzled by his choices.
These cards weren't among Greed Island's most valuable.
After a moment's hesitation, Elena nodded. "Very well. Now, please choose your departure point."
Loki casually named a location, and Elena sent him off Greed Island.
Hisoka and Pakunoda had already left Greed Island and were waiting for him.
At a certain port, Loki descended from the sky. Hisoka and Pakunoda, standing on the shore, turned to look at him as they heard the sound.
Pakunoda looked unusually urgent.
Loki smiled. "What appeared wasn't a card binder, but something like a box."
Loki tossed one card to Pakunoda, then turned to Hisoka, handing him Alexander's Gem of Fortune.
Finally, Loki looked at the remaining card.
Hisoka put away the gem and stepped forward. "What did you choose?"
Loki didn't hide his choice. "Risk Dice."
Hisoka looked at Loki quizzically.
The choice of Risk Dice was unexpected. He'd anticipated Loki choosing something more valuable, like the Archangel's Breath, or a card with some unique effect. But Risk Dice… while unexpected, wasn't entirely surprising.
"Even you encounter situations you're not confident about?" Hisoka asked with a grin.
"Of course! I'm not a god."
Putting the Risk Dice in his pocket, Loki looked up.
"Let's go. Is the airship booked?"
Pakunoda shook her head. "If we travel so openly, we'll likely be discovered quickly."
He agreed. The Hunter Association's intelligence network couldn't be underestimated.
"Let's go then. We'll go ourselves."
The three left the port and headed to a secluded location.
After Loki and the others left Greed Island, Ging received the news.
However, he didn't pay much attention to Elena contacting him to reveal Loki's whereabouts.
With Loki's strength…
