Cheadle was about to speak, but Ging cut her off.
"The Chimera Ants killed the Chairman. Doesn't that matter to you?"
Loki's eyes widened, and he glared at Ging.
"It doesn't matter. He would have died at my hands eventually, even without that fight. He wasn't long for this world."
Ging narrowed his eyes. 'He noticed too.'
Cheadle, furious, retorted, "The Chairman was your teacher! Until the very end, he hoped you would inherit his will."
Loki looked at Cheadle impassively, his gaze questioning. So what? Does that mean I have to avenge the Chairman?
Cheadle, trembling with rage, threatened, "If you don't accept my terms, I'll never let you go. Do you have a choice?"
Loki glanced at Knov. "Do you really think you can hold me, even like this?" He chuckled coldly.
"Even injured, you can't contain me!"
"Oh really?" Cheadle gestured to the Manipulation-type Nen users.
The three Nen users simultaneously activated their abilities. Loki's body stiffened.
'Manipulation-type!' Nen constricted his neck, controlling his body.
Loki realized he'd felt something on his neck earlier, but hadn't paid much attention due to his other injuries.
They'd implanted an antenna beforehand. A clever tactic.
Loki looked at Cheadle. "Is this your trump card?"
Seeing Loki controlled, Cheadle felt reassured.
She stepped past Ging towards Loki.
"Even without this, you can't leave. This is an independent ability space. Without a key, you can't open the door. No attack can break this space."
Standing by the window, Cheadle looked at Loki. "One last chance. Accept my terms."
Loki remained silent for several seconds before speaking.
"Even if I accept, what's to stop me from escaping once I'm fully recovered?"
They needed Loki against the Chimera Ants, but couldn't keep him perpetually controlled.
Once released, who could stop him? Even if Ging was strong, Loki might not be able to defeat him, but escape would be easy.
The other Zodiac members exchanged uneasy glances. Their expressions towards Loki had shifted.
Cheadle's eyes flickered.
Ging smiled faintly.
"Since the Chairman believed you could inherit his will, we'll trust his judgment one last time."
Past experiences showed that Loki kept his word.
He'd made a similar agreement with Kite, sparing him even when he could have easily killed him.
Given the Chairman's hopes for Loki, and the urgency of the situation, Cheadle was gambling.
This trust made Loki uncomfortable.
He stared at Cheadle for a long time before smiling.
Fine. His mission was to deal with the Chimera Ants.
Facing the three Royal Guards and the King alone, even Loki wouldn't be so reckless as to fight them all at once.
Even if he won, it would be exhausting.
Cooperation with the Hunter Association was the best approach.
Loki looked at his controller. 'Mangekyo Sharingan.'
Suddenly, crimson eyes appeared, three black dots rapidly spinning into a triangle shape.
The Manipulation-type Nen users' eyes widened.
Seeing the change in Loki's eyes, the Zodiacs froze.
An incredible aura emanated from his eyes, briefly mesmerizing those who looked at them.
While those mesmerized were distracted, Loki moved!
Despite being controlled, his hand reached for the antenna on his neck, effortlessly removing and discarding it.
Cheadle was speechless. The other Zodiacs were stunned. Ging, Pariston, Morel, and Knov stared at Loki.
'How did he do that?' 'Wasn't he controlled? His aura didn't change.' 'Was it his eyes?'
Doubt filled their minds.
Loki didn't explain, simply smiling at Cheadle. "I accept your terms."
Loki stood, stretching, his body weakening again. His red eyes slowly returned to normal.
The others were still reeling from his sudden escape from control.
He'd broken free without warning, a recently awakened, heavily injured man.
And those eyes—those eerie markings seemed to possess a strange power, captivating anyone who looked at them.
"Open the door. It's stuffy in here."
Before anyone could process what had happened, Knov, seemingly entranced, walked towards the door, opening it naturally.
Loki glanced at Pakunoda and Baise, noticing Hisoka's absence.
"Is Hisoka dead?" Loki asked calmly.
Pakunoda, surprised but quick to respond, shook her head.
"We don't know. They didn't bring him back."
Morel quickly explained, "We weren't trying to leave him behind. A Chimera Ant threw him far away; we couldn't—"
Loki cut him off. "It's fine. Against such an opponent, Hisoka would have died happily!"
Loki walked towards the exit of the Four-Dimensional Apartment and left.
Knov snapped out of his trance. "How did I get here?"
Everyone looked at Knov, bewildered by his obedience to Loki's command, followed by his sudden amnesia.
They realized the priority wasn't understanding Knov's state, but pursuing Loki in case he escaped.
Cheadle and other zodiacs rushed out.
Ging and Pariston weren't as hasty; they believed Loki would keep his word.
Emerging from the Four-Dimensional Apartment, Cheadle saw Loki, unharmed, stretching.
She collapsed to the ground.
The other Zodiacs froze.
'He's… completely healed!!!'
Hearing Cheadle's fall, Loki turned his head, a slight smile playing on his lips.
"Surprised? I said even injured, you couldn't contain me."
Emerging from the Four-Dimensional Apartment, they were still in a massive underground chamber, clearly prepared for him.
Bombs were placed in the corners—many of them, and powerful ones.
Cheadle and the others stared at Loki, their eyes filled with shock.
From severely injured to completely healed…
