Konoha: Starting from Being Adopted by Tsunade – Chapter 332: Wedding
Thanks to Konoha's current prestige, all the guests had arrived a full week before the wedding.
Luckily, the venue was large enough; otherwise, it would've been packed with people.
As a traditional ninja aristocracy, the Hyuga clan went to great lengths with their wedding preparations.
However, Natsume didn't bother himself with such details—others were handling everything.
The only downside was that he hadn't seen Hinata Hyuga at all in the past few days.
Reportedly, she had been attending classes, learning etiquette and the duties of a wife.
Needless to say, that's what separates a major clan from the rest.
During this time, Natsume kept visiting Mei Terumī whenever he had free time.
So much so that Lord Mizukage grew annoyed and chased him off.
It was absolutely unbearable.
After all, she was human, and thus had her limits.
Actually, Natsume intended to calm her anger.
Once she had no energy or time left to be angry, she'd naturally calm down.
Judging by the results, things were working out pretty well.
Later on, he applied the same method on Tsunade.
Sure enough, on the day of the wedding, she was pregnant once again.
Natsume realized the reason behind this unexpected news.
Since she hadn't gotten pregnant in the previous six years, it was clear Tsunade had been in control of it.
Now that she was pregnant, the implications were obvious.
Natsume could only shake his head—she always overthought everything.
He could walk away from anyone else—but never from Tsunade.
Still, having another child wasn't bad either.
Right now, he had only two daughters.
Kaguya otsutsuki began making her own preparations.
Now that Natsume had attained the physical constitution of the Otsutsuki Clan, he met the requirements.
Still, she remained somewhat hesitant.
Childbirth would consume a massive amount of chakra.
Without any potential external threats, she wouldn't care.
But what if enemies from the Otsutsuki Clan attacked while she was still pregnant?
Natsume found her concerns reasonable and kept postponing the matter.
December 27th.
The wedding venue was set at the Hyuga Clan's residence.
There were multiple reasons.
Firstly, Hiashi Hyuga had strongly suggested it.
Secondly, Hinata Hyuga was the heir to the Hyuga Clan.
Thirdly, Natsume considered the space issue.
He and Tsunade lived in the old Hokage residence, which just wasn't spacious enough.
The Hyuga Clan's compound, however, was much more suitable.
By now, the entrance was already crowded with people.
Hiashi Hyuga, usually strict and stoic, now took on the role of a warm and friendly uncle as the welcoming host.
"Yūka."
Mikoto Uchiha softly called out, "Slow down. Don't wander off."
"I want to find Senka-nee."
Uchiha Yūka replied without looking back.
"Sasuke, watch over your sister."
Mikoto instructed.
Sasuke Uchiha gave a slight nod, his face expressionless.
"Hey, Sasuke!"
"Sasuke-kun!"
Familiar voices called out from afar.
Sasuke couldn't help but let out a soft snort.
It was Naruto Uzumaki and Sakura Haruno arriving together.
They just happened to run into each other on the way.
At this point, Naruto Uzumaki no longer harbored special feelings for Sakura.
His sole focus was fighting Sasuke Uchiha and following in his teacher's footsteps to become the next Hokage.
"You and your friends can go inside first. Keep an eye on Yūka and the others."
Mikoto Uchiha smiled. "I'll go visit the Hyuga clan leader."
Though Sasuke Uchiha appeared cold on the surface, Naruto Uzumaki and Sakura Haruno were among the few friends he truly valued.
Sasuke acknowledged her words and led Yūka Uchiha and others forward.
Seeing this, Mikoto felt a sense of satisfaction.
She turned and approached Hiashi Hyuga, handing him a list of wedding gifts.
Currently, the Uchiha clan fell under her responsibility as she temporarily served as its leader.
Therefore, it was her duty to manage matters representing the clan.
After exchanging a couple of words with Hiashi Hyuga, Mikoto walked into the courtyard.
She hadn't come especially early, but the place was already quite lively.
Looking around, she spotted many familiar faces.
All major ninja clans and notable ninjas from Konoha Village had gathered.
Mikoto quickly found Sasuke Uchiha.
Alongside Naruto Uzumaki and Sakura Haruno, several other young ninjas were chatting with him—Ino Yamanaka, Neji Hyuga, Shino Aburame, and Shikamaru Nara.
They all belonged to the same age group.
Mikoto noticed that Ino Yamanaka looked downcast.
She couldn't help shaking her head.
Again, it was probably because of that troublemaker.
She didn't approach to interrupt.
After all, they weren't in the same generation.
"Kikako."
Just as Mikoto glanced around, she heard Tsunade's voice.
Turning toward the sound, she actually saw Tsunade already seated at a table, eating heartily—and drinking too. Her face had flushed red from the alcohol.
Mikoto could understand her.
Still, drinking might lead to problems.
Thinking this, she walked over.
At any rate, better keep an eye on things.
As Mikoto reached the table, she noticed someone else sitting there—Orochimaru.
Most likely dragged here by Tsunade, he looked rather unamused beside her.
Suddenly, Mikoto thought of Jiraiya.
He'd been gone for quite a while without word, almost like he had vanished.
"Lord Orochimaru," Mikoto greeted politely and sat next to Tsunade.
About to persuade Tsunade to drink less, she suddenly noticed Tsunade slapping her forehead and stopping drinking altogether.
Mikoto instantly felt puzzled.
Actually, Tsunade suddenly remembered she was pregnant.
Drinking wasn't good for the baby.
Plus later she would definitely be scolded by Natsume.
No way did she want to suffer through another lecture.
This chapter is not finished yet!!!
Time passed.
All guests had now arrived.
Hiashi Hyuga returned to the courtyard once again.
After greeting everyone, he stepped into the main hall.
Shortly afterward, the bride and groom made their entrance.
Following tradition, Hinata Hyuga wore a shiro-muku—a traditional white kimono symbolizing purity and sanctity in wedding ceremonies.
Standing nearby, Natsume looked equally radiant.
At this moment, many realized just how young the Hokage really was.
Certainly not some old man taking advantage of a young bride.
The two were actually in the same age group.
Proceeding according to schedule, the wedding ceremony formally began.
Natsume's job was simple—to keep smiling.
Meanwhile, he also had to make sure Hinata wouldn't faint from nervous shyness.
If something like this happened at the wedding, Natsume couldn't help but feel that all sorts of strange rumors would start spreading.
The banquet lasted until evening before finally ending.
Natsume himself had been quite busy as well.
He found a bit of time to chat with Tsunade, Mei Terumī, and others.
After confirming everything was in order, he finally felt at ease.
There was no denying that his earlier method of defusing anger had been quite effective.
Though part of the reason was that this was the ninja world, which allowed for polygamy.
As night fell,
the Hyuga compound fell silent once more.
Inside a room.
"Nervous?"
Natsume reached out and gently touched Hinata Hyuga's face.
It felt very warm.
"N-no... I'm not nervous..." stammered Hinata, her voice trembling.
Natsume worried she might faint any second now.
But this really wasn't the time for that.
He took her small hand in his, leaned in close, and whispered, "Happy birthday, Hinata."
Hinata instinctively lifted her head—only to have her lips captured immediately.
Her already flushed cheeks deepened in color, her thoughts growing hazy and blank.
Luckily, Natsume kept his composure.
Thanks to him, Hinata Hyuga experienced a night she'd never forget.
