"This guy really is your nemesis. Every time he shows up, you end up hurt like this!" Madam Turner said bitterly, her voice trembling with anger. "What on earth is going on? Did you really hurt yourself like he said?"
"Yeah," Lauren admitted softly. "Mom, I did this to myself."
"But how could you…?"
"He wants me to have a baby for him," Lauren said, her voice dripping with bitterness. "It's ridiculous, right? After everything he did to me back then, now his way of getting back at me is to ask me to have his child."
"Maybe he still has feelings for you, considering what you two went through…"
"Mom!" Lauren cut her off sharply, crushing her mother's fragile hope. "He only wants me to have a baby because Patricia can't. I'm just a tool to him. If he really cared, he wouldn't have thrown me into prison back then."
