Frank screamed in excitement, "We are getting an apartment darling! How did you manage to get an apartment from THE Gavin Hasters? You really need to teach me your ways". He winked at her, "Is it that good"
Leila was turning red, she could not believe that he actually got her an apartment. She was liking this guy more and more on a daily basis. He was just too good and she was proud of whatever it is that they are actually doing together, minus the Adele part obviously.
Frank snapped his fingers, "Helloooo, Earth to Leila. What are you waiting for girl? Call him"
Leila narrowed her eyes, "Do you think I should? I mean, I do not know what to say. I suck at this whole thing honestly"
Frank rolled his eyes, "CALL HIM".
Leila dialed his number, it beeped twice before she heard the most sexy voice ever
'Hey baby, missing me already? Should I switch to a video call? Use that avenue to show you the place'
Leila was grateful that he could not see her right now, she was blushing really hard, 'Uhm, about the place, thank you very much but I don't really think it's necessary. I mean, I appreciate it but my place is fine'.
Frank rolled his eyes again, Leila knew if she was not on a phone call, he would have given her the talk of her life.
Leila heard him sigh from the other end of the phone, ' Your apartment is not safe anymore for you to stay in. Adele can not be trusted. But you can trust me, I will not leave you stranded. Just know that. I have to go, bye'
The call ended and Leila giggled like a school girl that was talking to her crush. Frank cleared his throat noisily, Leila totally forgot that he with her. She felt like a teenager all over again.
"I think we should celebrate Leila"
Leila rubbed her hand on her head, "Okay but I need to take a quick shower and find something decent to wear. I feel like a rat right now. Give me twenty minutes, make yourself at home"
Frank grinned from ear to ear, "Take your time sweets. I am right here. I even need to tell you something but when you are done though"
It was Leila's turn to roll her eyes, "Really? Just tell me now"
Frank closed his eyes playfully, "No"
Leila hissed while throwing a throw pillow at him, "Eat it, sucker"
Frank laughed heartily, annoying Leila was something he had come to enjoy. "I do not enjoy eating foam, do you?
Leila threw him a middle finger as she went to the bathroom, inside the bathroom, when she was alone, she finally had time to wrap her head around what Gavin had said. Knowing Gavin, he probably got her an over-the-top apartment. Deep down she did not mind but she did not want to sell her dignity for nice things or make it seem like she was just with him because of money. That was what it would seem like to an outsider and she was trying to avoid that at all cost.
As the water trickled down her skin, all she could see was Gavin kissing her, Gavin making out with her, Gavin saying nice things for her, Gavin doing nice things for her. She smiled with her eyes closed. It all felt all good to be true.
She stepped out of the bathroom and took a spare one to dry her wet hair, her hair always took most of the time when she was dressing up. She rubbed her fingers through the hair and shook her head to let out some of the water, She could not afford a blow dryer like some other girls so she had to make do with drying with a towel.
Leila stood in front of the mirror and examined herself, she was pretty but was she pretty enough to make a man leave his betrothed? She brushed the thought off her mind. It was time for celebration and she would do that to the highest. She settled on a sweatshirt and tight jean trousers, the air was chilly tonight and she could not afford to catch a cold. A door knock disrupted her thoughts, she called out to Frank, "Would you mind answering the door please? Almost done"
Frank called out back, "Whatever, on it"
After a minute without hearing anything, she called out to Frank again, "Who's there?"
She heard a soft voice, a voice she could recognize in her sleep, "Leily, it's me"
Leila dashed out of the room, "Wait, mom?! What are you doing here?"
