The night had passed quickly and quietly, and soon it was morning.
The warm sunlight sneaked in the window, caressing Kaien's face like a long-lost love. His silver- white hair shimmered faintly in the sunlight, as his eyelids trembled. Soon, opening to reveal his golden eyes.
For the first time in a long time, he was happy to face the day, the excitement welled up in his chest.
"Today is going to be a great day." He whispered with a faint grin.
Kaine threw the heavy covering off him, stood up, and stretched, feeling the strength and vitality in his new, young body.
Soon, he was on the move, as he quickly went through his morning routine. A quick bath in cold water jolted his senses awake, then he quickly got dressed.
Wearing a black shirt with a gold jacket, dark blue shorts, and black sandals with his hair in a ponytail hanging down, still reaching the middle of his back.
He picked up a golden chain with a fang hanging from it as he passed his desk, putting it around his neck, a present from his new mother, apparently, as a baby, he used to growl, so she thought it fit him.
Since merging with the memories, he got Kaien had already accepted these new parents as, in both lives, they were the only ones he knew, so it wasn't hard.
They were his initial bonds in this new world, and he would protect them.
'In my previous life, I was obsessed with gambling, but I was a good man. I helped out people when I could and lived within the laws, but I would never inconvenience myself for others. Not even a day into this life, and that's already changed. I now have two people I would do anything for. I wonder what else will change and if that number will increase.' He thinks he himself.
Finally stepping out of his room, Kaien quickly descended the wooden stairs of his home, as the scent of freshly cooked rice and grilled fish entered his nose, making his stomach growl.
At the table, his parents were already waiting for him.
Takeshi Tsuro his father was a tall man with short brown hair, kind golden eyes, and a sturdy build from years of running their family restaurant. He had a calm and carefree presence.
Airi Tsuro, his mother. Had soft silver hair up in a ponytail like her son, gentle brown eyes, and a smile that made all troubles disappear, she was currently wearing a simple kimono apron that still had patches of flour on it, no doubt from preparing breakfast.
"Morning Kaien." Airi said, walking over and kissing his forehead. "Are you excited for today?"
"Good morning, mother, father." He said as he nodded to his mother." More than you can imagine."
His father chuckled.
"You have been training for years, you will do fine. Just remember, strength isn't everything. Be kind and considerate of others."
"I will be." Kaisen said as he started eating.
His mother, now sitting, reached over the table and brushed a few strands of loose hair from his face. "And try not to scare the other children with that serious look of yours. Remember you are supposed to be making friends."
"I'll try my best, mother."
Breakfast lasted a few more minutes as the family exchanged comments and laughed.
"I should be going, I don't want to be late on my first day after all." Kaien said as he stood up from the table.
Airi got up and hugged him. "Good luck today, Kaien, and remember to make some friends."
"I will." He said as he walked out the door, waving at them.
As he walked, Kaien looked around the streets, which weren't yet busy, but they soon would be. Their home was situated near the edge of the commercial district, not far from the entrance to the Hyuga compound.
As he made his way through the streets, some of the villagers out already who knew him greeted him warmly.
"Morning, Kaien." An old lady shouted from her door.
"Morning, Granny Hana." He replied, adding a wave.
A few younger children ran past him, greeting him as well.
"Big brother Kaien." They shouted as he smiled and waved at them, as he continued on his way to the academy.
By the time he arrived, a light breeze blew, shaking the leaves from the trees surrounding the school, creating a beautiful scene, which looked just as he remembered from the anime.
He entered the school and found his way to his classroom, class 1-A, and to no surprise, it was empty.
He walked to the back and took a seat by the window, where the sunlight spread across his desk. He simply rested his chin in his palm and waited for the teacher and other students to arrive.
Time passed quickly, and soon children began to filter into the classroom.
The first notable person he saw was Kiba Inuzuka, with a while puppy sleeping on his head, he spared Kaien a balance but said nothing, then came Shino Aburame. Quiet and composed, he took a seat without a word.
Next came the trio of Ino Yamanaka, Shikamaru Nara, and Choji Akimichi. The moment Ino saw him, her voice echoed across the whole classroom.
" Whoa! He's handsome."
The room fell silent as everyone turned to her. Her face turned red immediately before she managed to stammer out a sentence.
"I..I mean....I was just saying....I." before dragging Shikamaru and Choji to their seats.
Kaien chuckled at the situation, hiding the smile that appeared on his face with his hand.
Kaien looked around.' I am sure I heard someone say handsome bastard.' But he couldn't find who it was, not that it was important, as he soon saw Sasuke Uchiha cheerful and smiling.
The reason was clear, something he already knew, the Uchiha massacre had not happened yet, when it did, this boy would change completely. He continued scanning the room, but didn't find the former protagonist Naruto Uzumaki.
