Ash lifted the ball high above his head, and with a crackle of electricity flowing around his hand and the ball, he threw it with the utmost precision he could muster. The ball went straight into the scarecrow's abdomen, and with a loud thump, the scarecrow fell backward.
Ash looked at the scarecrow happily with a large gaping grin on his face. He walked back prideful, and the instructor announced that he had passed and may continue to go and sit on the other side where all the students who passed sat.
"Even this bastard passed," Sei thought, looking at Ash who was going to get his seat.
Then Sei looked at the other students. The instructor called out the names, and the next girl went on to the bowl, repeating the same process, but she couldn't seem to lift the ball up.
She tried multiple times but failed and eventually gave up. Sei was observing all the students carefully since the exam started.
